Currently, for monthly employees, Xero does not take into consideration the fact that they have been set up to be paid the same amount each month, therefore the days in the month are meaningless from a pay perspective. Unfortunately, this means that the basis leave accrues on to work out how many hours a public holiday/personal/annual leave day should be when leave is entered is also meaningless.   3. From the moment you post a payrun, and this can be 1 day or 10 days before payment is made, employees have access to their payslips. To pull an ABA from the payrun, you need to post the payrun first. I process payroll for over 30 business's.   4. To be able to view at a glance the 'period taken from a customer to pay invoices' from the Due Date to when the funds have reached the supplier's bank account. This is instead of exporting the Xero report in an excel sheet and then adding a formula to calculate the difference between the two dates. Surely with all the information already stored in the Xero account, this option shouldn't be too difficult to add. Thank you.

  5. I'm an experienced chartered accountant relatively new Xero user. I'm flummoxed by the inclusion of payroll transactions in the "bills to pay" section. While the detail is hidden from some users, some personal payroll transactions (related to overpayment) have become viewable by users without payroll access. Even summary transactions should not be viewable by people without payroll access.

    All payroll transactions should be in a separate section to avoid confusion and any breach of privacy.

    I cannot, for the life of me, see the rationale for including payroll transactions in this area in the first place.

    Hi Steve, appreciate it hasn't been too long since I last updated you here. I wanted to round back with an update as we;re making changes to Global Pay Run. Meaning this product will be retired from April 2026.

    With no plans for developing Xero payroll specifically for other regions at this time we'll shift your idea to Not planned, however I'd recommend exploring our Xero app store where we have multiple payroll app partners that integrate with Xero and could meet the needs of your business.

    2) Limit how much they can pay out at any one time (for security reasons)

    Hi all, while we removed the Pay with Wise, as a follow on from our last update we wanted to confirm that we have released UK bill payments in Xero.

    Customers in the UK can set up direct bank transfer as a payment method for GBP bills to quickly and securely pay bills. Funds are transferred from your bank account by Crezco using open banking. The availability of open banking in the UK has enabled us to offer this on-platform. 🙂- Read more on our Blog

  7. Right now, checks must be written by going to the top of the page, choosing "Spend Money," choosing the bank account, and then checking the "Pay By Check" box on the page. I regularly enter transactions right on the back account page through the "Spend Money" and "Receive Money" button. It would be great if the "Spend Money" area on the account page could just include the "Pay By Check" box so we could avoid the extra steps.

Right now, as some may have seen across other ideas I've updated - we have some research underway to help us better understand where and how we might best tackle the most predominant needs in roles.

  11. AU - Compulsory Employee Super When a Employee Superfund changes ABN, USI number, merges with another fund.

    The only solution at moment is to export the employee data into a file and save it. Then deactivate the Superfund. The problem is if you have a query on these past transactions you cannot do it through Xero.   12. Please re-work the Employee Contact Details report to include ALL of the information available in the employee bulk upload template and in the same format. Also add email address to the bulk upload format as it is already in the Employee Contact Details report.

    When a client undergoes a restructure, the employees must be copied into the new file. It is EXTREMELY time consuming to type it all.

    You have the start of a great export/import ability, it just needs a little bit of attention and it would be perfect.

  13. Could you please add the option to pay have different payment dates for bills in a batch payment. Perhaps you can select to choose 'one payment date' or the 'planned payment date' when creating the batch. This way we can bundle multiple payments into one batch and don't need to set up multiple batches for multiple payments dates.

  15. It would be wonderful to have the option to use HH:MM format for timesheet entries, instead of only decimal time. Hard to convince employees to do timesheets as it is, but to also ask them to convert two weeks of project works over numerous jobs into decimal format is a big ask! Not many people are used to entering 4.6667 hrs instead of 4hrs 40min. If this is a feature of Xero Practice Manager, can it not be easily made available to the rest of us?

  17. Apparently this functionality is enabled on the AU payroll system, but not NZ!

    Essentially, it would be great if an employee's annual salary figure could be displayed on their payslips. Given that this is already an option within Xero Payroll for Australia, surely this is an easy addition for Xero Payroll for New Zealand.

  18. I would like to be able to firstly differentiate my payroll journals from other journals and then produce an end of year report of the payroll journals.

  19. Where the business uses Xero for GST and payroll, it would be great to be able to create a bill off a finalised GST return or finalised payrun. To have the bill included in the payables automatically would ensure the bill is captured.
    It would also be great to be able to pay GST and employer deductions with a batch file from Xero, just as we can with other bills. This would remove the need for manual loading of the payments in the bank and ensure the matching of the payment in Xero…

  20. Currently, when the Payroll Activity Detail report downloads to PDF, it includes deductions (including those that are not salary-sacrificed super) and reimbursements. However, when the Excel report is downloaded, those lines are missing. Please include everything that's in the PDF version in the Excel version.
