  1. PAPDIS file download to include total Gross Salary and not just the Salary with the £520 not pensionable deducted and the pension provider we use (Creative) expects this in their upload. EVery month I have to edit Gross Pensionable Pay for all employees to add the £520 on the PAPDIS CSV I download.

  2. If a pay increase is implemented across the board then currently, the only way to amend employees salary amount is to enter each record manually. If you have a large number of employees this is extremely time consuming.

    If a salary scale was used and assigned to employee records, it could be uplifted by a percentage and all records would automatically update.

  3. A number of my client are service businesses and as such all of the payroll costs should be posted either to a Cost of Sale account for Operational staff or Overhead for support staff. I can achieve this for all costs except for Employer NIC cost, which has to be manually moved. It would be beneficial if the NIC could go to an NIC GL dependent upon the type of basic pay chosen.

  5. Payroll/Wages Payable Reconciliation
    It is quiet difficult in Xero to find out wages payable error done because there is no system of matching wages payment with the payroll journal at the transaction allocation stage.
    e.g. as we get the suggestions to allocate a payment received against an invoice, it should be similar with the wages.

  6. Payroll Bill
    When submitting VAT Xero now allows you to create a bill that sits on the AP pending payment. Is it possible to have a bill create for Payroll taxes linked to payroll accounts and sits on AP pending payment? This will keep the debt much more visible for companies and make reconciling much cleaner.

  7. Update details for STP2

    Hi community, we appreciate the original raising of this idea some time ago. To be open, with STP2 now released and majority of organisations having already updated their employees we want to be upfront we don't have plans for making this change.

  8. Option already exists to have multiple bank accounts, however If bonus etc is process separately this option doesnt work as its a different pay run, it would be good to have a fixed amount option that lasts for the month and then re-sets, regardless of how many times employee is paid, after fixed amount is paid, balance goes into different account for that month and then re-sets

  9. In Australia we are required to check an employee's visa status and keep a record of such.

    Additionally we have to report on this every quarter.

    It would be great to add visit status to the employment record

  10. when printing or saving the employee summary report x group the name of the group doesn't appear. If doing multiple groups, this makes it difficult to know which group is which when referring back or from printed reports.

  11. Can we please have flexible decimal points on allowances. So overnight stays - 3 - are appearing as 3.0000 and 200 kilometres is appearing as 200.0000 kilometres. I would like to remove those decimal points?

  12. The gross to net report currently doesn't include reimbursed expenses, and possibly other things we haven't found yet so the net pay doesn't agree to the payslips! Please can we have a gross to net report that agrees to payslips? Failing that even a report that shows reimbursed expenses per employee would be better than nothing.

  13. The buttons linking to detailed reports from the project profitability tab don't go to the place they claim. They just take you to a blank report view. Very useless and pretty annoying.     Hi all, leading on from our last update we're going to move this idea to 'Delivered' with the change the team made to Projects in August last year (apologies for the late update here!) You'll now find that all the reports on the profitability tab take you to the report, filtered to the project you were on 🌟

  14. Bring back 'Save' prompts when changes are made but not saved before you navigate away from the tab.

    This was previously existing functionality and has now been removed.

  17. It would be good to be able to see the bank account details (BSB and Account number) on the new bill screen when entering invoices to be paid. By having the contacts bank details on the entry screen you can easily check that the bank details in Xero match what is on the invoice. This would save time of having to go and open the contact to check that the details match - not to mention save time of having to download the invoice so you can view it while checking against the contact.   18. Fixing issues with holidays and making pro-rata holiday calculations automatically
    Calculate starting holiday allowance from the starting date of the employee for new employees joining throughout the year.
    Calculate final holiday allowance based on the end of employment date when employees leave.
    Since Xero knows the holiday hours per year and the working patterns, it has everything it needs to calculate this.
    If an leaving employee has taken too many holidays before they leave, it is important to ensure the leave is negative.

    Hi everyone, appreciate the feedback on the idea here. Being open we don't have any immediate work planned for this.

    However, I also wanted to highlight with differing needs and regulation our payroll products are developed separately for region specifically. We try to keep the ideas regionally separated in community here as it helps when feeding back to the team and also in keeping customers updated.

    That said we have a separate idea for this similar feature in AU Payroll and I've added any voters from AU to that idea to keep updated there.

  19. Could we please have an option to add a second emergency contact for our employees.

    Currently when creating a new employee we only have one space for an emergency contact. However, in the case of an actual emergency only one contact may not be enough, a second contact gives a much higher chance of being able to get in contact with someone.

    Hi everyone, thanks for the idea and support here.

    We appreciate being able to easily add a secondary emergency contact to the details tab of the employee record is important to you. 

    Atm, you could use the notes tab to add a new note to the employee record and include the details in here.

    To be open we don't have direct plans for making this change within the details tab any time in the near future. 

  20. A tool in Xero to calculate the cost of a shift change for employees using the award that is set up in Xero. This would greatly assist in understanding the financial impact of such a change.
