  2. Please add the ability to have multiple payslip templates for multiple businesses trading within the same entity. Ie so their different logo's for the different trading names can be attached to the employee group for that business tracking category.

    Hey Tanya, we don’t recommend running multiple payrolls from the same Xero organisation. As there’s only support for a single payroll account, business name, and ABN per Xero Organisation. This information must be included on each payslip, and would need to be edited prior to posting each pay run.

    Posting payroll for multiple businesses from the same Xero Organisation can also have an impact on your record keeping, especially when it comes to finalising your STP and employee superannuation for the year.

    Instead, we’d recommend setting up a new organisation for each new business you run payroll for. If you need multiple plans for running small payrolls, as a Xero Partner, you might like to check out our Payroll Cashbook plans.

    Appreciate your input here, everyone. We don’t have any plans in the near term to add passwords to payslips, but did you know you can invite employees to the employee portal Xero Me? Employees can securely view payslips, submit timesheets as well as request leave.

  4. Ability to a total of all employees gross wages, and download figures for each individual employee with the total lodged with the ATO.

    Purpose: To be able to see employee list with total amounts for each category (gross, tax, super, lump sums) after lodged with the ATO

    Hi everyone, appreciate this idea has come from the prior Feature requests forum and to explain what is currently available -  You can export a .CSV with all employee detail before finalisation.


    From the STP Finalisation screen, select the check box at the top of the list for all employees - at the bottom of the page you'll see an Export .CSV option become visible, so you can view all the payment information before it's sent across to the ATO.   

  5. The ability to be able to multiple select earnings types when setting up the employee template.

    Also with the ability to select Calculation Type - either Use Earnings Rate or Enter Rate.

    If selecting 'Enter Rate' this can be input after the earnings lines are available - like usual.

  6. Remove the automatic bank holidays been added, If you could add the days worked then it would work but it is adding bank holiday payments even if someone has left a week before.

    If the employee has a leave date prior to the bank holiday it will not be added automatically. Also you have the option to include or exclude the relevant bank holiday's for the employee in their employee file.

  7. Invoices submitted by contractors - Xero should have a tick box where we can tick 'I need to pay super on this invoice' and it tracks and records contractor super owing.

  8. I have a particular client where we use tracking categories. We have set up a tracking category called jobs so hours and expenses can be allocated to these jobs. However, errors occur, and it would be great to be able to reallocate find and recode just like you can do with other times to move those hours or expense from one job to another.

  9. Remove the feature of 'Other Previous Earnings', or an option of allowing us to choose whether to have this feature. Grouping all previous pay items into 'Other Previous Earnings' in the same financial year is confusing and our employees won't understand what it is for. Please get rid of it!

  10. At the moment there doesn't seem to be a way to pay a monthly employee a basic monthly salary without the hourly rate changing to reflect the number of working days in the month. Please can there be an option to pay a monthly employee a basic 12th of their annual salary each month and the hours per month are set to the average of a 12th of their annual hours so that the hourly rate for overtime etc stays the same each month.

    Hi everyone, we’re pleased to share that we’ve now released working patterns to all UK organisations that use Xero Payroll.

    You can now enter more information about employees’ working patterns to support leave and earning rates calculations and save you time. You’ll be able to:

    • Create or select from working pattern templates
    • Add working patterns manually or using the template
    • Setup multiple weeks of a working pattern

    Being able to set up to 13 weeks in a template means you’ll be able to accurately reflect employees’ that may work differing hours through weeks in a month like you’re after here. We’ve shared a few videos on YouTube that’ll help guide you through the change 😊

  11. When an employee is off sick you should be able to open and input the start date and then save, to input the end date when the employee returns to work.

  12. In the employee card under pay template be able to organise the earnings rates in the order we prefer. For example have employees working overtime, saturday sunday and monday to friday. Being able to put the earnings in alpahbetical; order not how it is saved by Xero.

  16. I want to be able to archive or delete old, previously processed timesheets. In the timesheets section, processed timesheets from 2018 continually rise to the top and it is annoying and time consuming to always change the sorting order to find the most recent, or filter via a start date. This is all annoying. I want to remove old or previously processed timesheets from this list, or at the very least, have recent timesheets/those waiting to be processed automatically listed at the top.

  18. Need to be able to remove a leave type for employees. Ie an employee is entitled to 4 weeks annual leave p.a.. They have renegotiated their contract and are now entitled to 5 weeks AL p.a. I've set up a new leave type to accrue 5 weeks p.a. for this employee and asked that they use this option when submitting future requests. I have changed the AL 4 week code to No Calculation for this employee, however it still appears as an option when they request leave. I would like to remove this as an option because they continually inadvertently…

  19. Can you please create the functionality to send the payslips to both the employees and the employers.

    Currently payslips can only be sent to one email address when being sent by Xero. A second email address can't be added to an employee's record for payslips to be sent to.

    It would be beneficial to be able to send them via Xero to both the employee and employer.

  20. Employee loans and advances should have the ability to add the gross amount starting date deduction amount this should then be reduced by each payment so the amount still owe can be seen at any time.
