  3. Currently, when you connect your Xero login to myIR, Xero automatically files the pay run with the IRD as soon as it is posted. Unfortunately, there is no option to opt out of this automatic filing without disconnecting from myIR entirely.

    It would be much more flexible if posting and filing could be done as separate steps. While it's possible to have another user who isn't connected to myIR handle this, small businesses often rely on a single person to manage the entire payroll process.

    We would prefer to post the pay run, send payslips, complete banking, and then submit…

  5. When selecting a contact name it would be nice if it displayed more of the name or if dropdown could be widened. Reason being, we have a number of clients whose names appear the same but have different regional offices and it therefore becomes trial & error as to which one to select as we cannot see the full details until after selection of the contact.

  6. Ability to enter a PAID Break - This would be particularly helpful in Contruction industry, where most awards provide employees with a paid tea break on OT & Weekend work. This would mean employers will meet their obligations for Start/Finish Times as well as break times.

  7. In Projects - the tasks we add 'time entries' to and then invoice are set up in "Products and Services" screen. We would like the description entered in the "Products and Services" screen to flow through to the invoice when a "Tasks and expenses" invoice is raised. Currently only the Task Name goes into the Description box on the invoice but this is not adequate to send to the client. Typing over the top of the description is a waste of time and we do not want the time entry description to flow through as this is often too brief…

  8. Where payslips are emailed to an email address that is invalid and returns a kick back message.
    Xero to forward kick back message or advise Payroll ID that sent emails out of a problem for an employee's email so that invalid email can be investigated and amended.

    We also use Xero Me for employees however not everyone sets this up on receipt of invite and just prefer to receive email advices.

I often copy from a Purchase order to an Invoice, with the new Invoicing set up, it automatically populates the customer field with the Supplier name, can this PLEASE be changed to same as classic with a blank field so we can enter the custmer details in ourselves, it is most annoying and has often caught our office out sending invoices to suppliers.

  10. In the Standard Invoice template - the delivery address currently shows in the middle column, rather than under the name of the business. This is confusing if a business has multiple locations, with one centralised billing address. It means that the centralised billing office can't easily see which location the invoice is for/items were delivered to.
    It would be better to show the delivery address under the name of the "To" so it's obvious which location the items were delivered to with the name and the corresponding details of address and contact person.

  11. Customer statement - with a customised due date option.

    The option to be able to email customer statements directly from Xero with a customised due date. Eg. Selecting email customer statements to 30th June and only invoices that are due up to the 30th June are generated and emailed (rather than everything that is invoiced on their customer card which in our case could be up to 12 months in advance).

  12. When reconciling the bank, I always like to start with 'quick wins' and attempt to reconcile the suggested matches first. After the recent improvements, surely it now makes sense to add a filter on the bank feed reconciliation screen to 'show lines with suggested matches'?

    (This software coding must already exist because there is an option on the cash coding tab to 'Show lines with suggested matches' like in the screenshot)

  13. I want to export my reconciled bank transactions and include the account number of the Customer. I can then use this file to link with other systems. At present I have to add the Account number via Excel VLookup function which is tedious.

    When setting up, I made the mistake of not including the account number is my Customer name field. Wish I had now but there is no way of doing a bulk update ofgf that field.

  14. The current implementation of "Who posted" information appears below the image in small text, which is easy to miss. We believe it would be more effective and user-friendly to display this information prominently at the top of the scan in larger text.

  15. For scanned receipts containing a QR code, it would be very useful if the system could automatically read the code and populate it into a "Notes" field or the Invoice Reference field. This would streamline data entry and reduce manual work.

  16. Can the data be access in a read-only mode for cancelled subscriptions?
    Often historic data has to be referred to but once a subscription is cancelled, you are no longer able to view any of the data.
    To differentiate between active and cancelled subscriptions the company can be marked in red.

  17. Our business is growing, and now we employ over 60 employees. Is it possible to have more than 50 employees listed on one page for payroll processing?
    It looks like '50' is the maximum of line items in the drop-down menue, and I have to go the the second page in order to approve all employees for the payroll.

  18. AI automated Supplier Statement Reconciliation! To allow business to match the invoices in their bills to pay with the invoices shown on their suppliers statements to ensure none are missing and everyone is paid on time without delays. We are currently looking to outsource to external parties not related to xero to do this so it is possible to implement. But to have it centralised and available within xero would be great. By automating this process allows for focus towards other accounting and business aspects.

    Perhaps displayed in a similar way to the bank feed reconciliation screen. If we can…

  19. Permanent inventory item on a specific invoice template

    For example, we are an automotive repair shop
    If I was to have a specific invoice template for 'vehicle servicing' and would like every service invoice to come up with Sundries and Freight automatically

    This would be a great way to save time as well as making sure everything is being charged out correctly

    Hi Paul, while not a perfect solution, currently you could create and repurpose a  Draft invoice for a dummy contact. When you want to create an invoice with this item you'd use the 'Copy to draft invoice' option. 

    We don't have plans for developing anything that'd accomplish what you're currently asking here. We'll monitor the interest and share if there's any change. 

  20. we should be able to do a csv bulk upload for receiving payments on invoices. the filed highlighted in yellow should be in a csv file, other fields such as invoice number or ref can be added. we do bulk upload and the invoice automatically updates with the payments.
