  2. I understand the new journal report can add a column of "Posted by". it would be great if we can also add the "created by" and "edited by" in the report. We want to see a list of creator, editor and poster for each journal (with Journal details).

  3. It would be handy if account transaction list that shows when you click on your bank account could be modified to include / remove different fields so that you can see information that you would like to see when looking at bank transactions without having to create a custom report.

    Also to better understand the idea would this be on a client basis or across all clients that are managed by a practice? 

  5. I would like to know if there is ever going to be an update to Xero me timesheets to allow employees to enter words instead of regular hours in the description box eg. I am a house builder and have about 6 different sites on the go at the same time and I would like to be able to allocate my employees time to which house they were working on so that I can then charge the customer the correct fee. My employees get different rates of pay so not easy to set up using timesheet tracking.

  6. Currently, bills show up in the report "Bills not assigned to Projects" if there is any line on the bill that is not assigned to a Project. This includes data-only text or description lines with neither quantity nor value. The screenshot attached shows the report; the bill with details showing has one of these nil-quantity nil-value lines - all the line items on that bill with either value or quantity have been assigned to the relevant Project.

    I have seen elsewhere that lines in invoices can be made 'description' if there's neither quantity nor value; this should carry through to…

  7. On the Expenses view, one can filter by label, by claim type, or a combination of those variables.

    I'd like to be able to see grand totals, and print to a simple PDF as needed.

    This could empower employees to create their own expense report as needed without having to onboard them as Xero users - for a trip or conference, for example.

    See screenshot for clarity. The print icon could go next to filter icon.

    Hi Sue, appreciate you sharing here. So I can share this back to the most appropriate product teams - Are there any places in particular within Xero that you'd find this handy? Is there a reason being able to see the Contact ABN is useful for you? 

  9. Be able to copy reports created in the "Demo" company to a live company instead of having to start from scratch again. The concept of the Demo company is great - to experiment and learn. Just need to easily be able to implement those learnings into a live situation.

  10. Ask for Xero to auto generate GST data entry on Bills.
    I wish to only enter gross invoice total and GST paid amounts and have XERO calculate and record GST free line and GST inclusive line - This was a valuable feature of Quicken.

  11. At the moment, there are two places you can find out if there are billable expenses outstanding for a Contact: at the bottom of the Sales Overview, and in one report.

    A total should be visible in the header of Contacts that have had billable expenses assigned to them (including if there's Projects assigned to that Contact with uninvoiced expenses).

    There should also be a widget for the dashboard similar to the section at the bottom of the Sales Overview.

    These will make it easier to remember to on-bill expenses in a timely fashion.

  12. When a bill is generated through Email-to-Bill the bill history only says System Generated and 'Received through Email-to-Bill'
    It would be much more valuable to see the sender's email here (e.g. 'Received through Email-to-Bill from ***@gmail.com') in case a follow-up is needed

  14. The "Planned Dates" feature in Bills to Pay works extremely well. Key element is that you can bulk update dates as required from a multiple selection.

    The "Expected Date" feature has the same potential but also needs to be able to update invoice "Expected Dates" in bulk.

    Invoices cannot be updated in bulk from Short Term Cashflow if a part-payment has been made against that invoice. Also, you can't update invoices Expected dates if they are not due yet.

    Thanks for the detail of why the Short term cashflows option is not viable for you here, Karl. 

    We don't have any immediate plans around this but will keep an eye on the appetite here and let you know if there's any plans made. 

  15. Any user with the 'Standard User Role' AKA the role with the least amount of permissions that can still access and perform bank reconciliation, has access to Setting>Check Styles which contains your bank account routing & account number, if you need to have that information printed onto blank check stock. This is a major security overlook. I do not want my employee that is helping with bank reconciliation to have access to my bank account information.

  16. Currently, when using the cash coding screen, if you do not allocate a payee a new payee is created for each line item. If there is no Payee the contact should be Unknown otherwise there is too many contacts created for no reason.

    Hi Shawn, to make sure we understand the idea here - would you like this field to be visible to the contact. Say when a certain branding theme is applied? Or just an internal to view when creating invoices in Xero? Thanks

  18. When a client changes from GST registered to no longer GST registered - It would be greatly appreciated if all the rules changed to BAS Exc like it does in Chart of Accounts. Young clients shop everywhere and therefore there are hundreds of rules to edit.
