Allow credit notes to be created for contact groups in the same way invoices can be.

Invoices - Assign billable expenses in bulk
Is would be helpful to be able assign different expenses from one bill to different customers, in one batch. At the moment you have to do it individually and then go back into the assign expenses section to do it again for each assignment, which for a bill that relates to multiple customers takes a lot of time.

Invoicing - Auto send receipt when payment applied to invoice
Allow XERO to automatically send a receipt to a client when an invoice is paid in part or in full.
66 votesThanks for all the feedback and detail on your needs in the idea here. As you'll see from each others comments there are different points at which businesses would want to be automating this process. Not really a one size fits all approach.
As noted in recent comments, we recently made a change for new invoicing flow where (like classic) you can now choose to Send receipt from the payment confirmation that's shown once you apply a payment to an invoice.
At this time we don't have plans for automating this flow however we're still attuned to the idea here and will be sure to share if there are any plans made toward this in the future.

Add the functionality to be able to open a manual journal or other account transaction from the journal report.

Invoicing - Automatically delete draft invoices when merging invoices
I would love if when we merged Invoices into 1 from drafts it doesn't leave the draft that I need to manually go back and delete. This can cause double ups of Invoicing.

Navigation - Buttons at top to navigate between pages of a list
Having a ‘Back to top’, ‘Next’ and ‘Previous’ page link options at the top of the page as well.
Purpose: To save users time from having to scroll the page.

HubDoc left hand column doesn't display enough characters
HubDoc is a great app but it is frustrating to use in the browser version as the left hand column doesn't display enough characters and the user cannot drag-to-expand the column width.
So to let us see the entire 'Tags' description please enable expand this column.

Bank Reconciliation - Change column widths on Find and Match screen
To be able to adjust the widths of the preset headings (Date, Name, Reference, Spent and Received) when you are trying to find and match in the bank reconciliation screen.

New Invoicing - Account allocation pre-populating
We use an invoice as a template to take up daily sales from the external POS system, and there are a large number of different line items with different account allocations. There is an issue at the moment with the chosen account allocation not saving to the account selected, with a seemingly random default account chosen by the system, which I believe is a known issue that the Product Team is investigating.
As part of solving that problem, it would be great if the account allocation isn't shown on the finalised invoice for any lines with a $0 value.

Chart of Accounts - Show which codes have no recent entries
Can we please add a feature to allow you to view the inactive Chart of Account Codes? This can show when the last transaction was and highlights which account codes are inactive that may not be needed.

Mobile App - Password Confirmation
The mobile app currently does not ask you to confirm your password when you setup a pin for your account. If you were to miss-enter your pin, which is easy to do, you essentially immediately lock yourself out of your account. The system should ask for a pin, then ask you to confirm the pin before finalising it, allowing you to go back a step if you enter in the wrong pin.

Invoices - Bulk send receipts for paid invoices
If you receive a lot of payments on the same day (20th of the months) would be useful to select the paid invoices all at once and send the receipt to all clients at the same time rather than have to open every single transaction and send the receipts individually
Alternatively could be a feature on invoices were you choose to send receipt automatically upon payment received.

Reports - Export to excel with dashes instead of zeroes
It would be helpful to have the reports, once exported to Excel, already formatted, so that the Nil values are shown as a 'dash' as opposed to '0'. This is particularly useful when there is a large report or several reports with lots of data. It is more efficient when it comes to reviewing the figures, and saves having to custom format the individual reports. We have also had clients, who still prefer reports on Excel, ask for reports in this format, it is time consuming having to change, especially when it is a large reporting pack.

Inventory - Add Unit Cost Price to Inventory Item Details report for untracked items
I am looking to have the cost price included in the Inventory item details report even though the item is not tracked.
We sell a service and we cannot track the item as there is no amount to it.

AU Payroll - Option to delete additional super funds from the employee record
I'd like the ability to delete a super fund from an Employee's Employment tab where they originally had two super funds operating in parallel, and then closed one of their accounts. Currently the obsolete super fund can not be deleted, and can only be updated, which means you end up with two of the same super funds in the employment tab.

Bills | Export summary
Ability to export bills with one line per bill showing the Invoice Total rather than showing each line entered for each bill.

Bank Reconciliation - Minimise or blur statement balance & balance in Xero
I work in an open plan office and it seems insane to have my bank balance written in such large writing at the top of the page where it shows Statement Balance and Balance in Xero! It should definitely be an option to hide or minimise this!

Include a link to the Packing Slip on a Sales Invoices
Include on sales invoices the option to add a link to the packing slip. Some larger organisations only pay on receipt of the packing slip. This addition would mean the user only has to attach one document.
