  1. Add a filter to Purchase Overview, Bills, to filter out Archived Supplier / Contacts.
    Generally not necessary to keep seeing bills for old achived suppliers.

  2. For now there's a option to block issuing invoice for customer which exceed a certain credit limit. Can we have more options to block a customer, like overdue invoices etc.?

    Appreciate there are more settings that you'd like to expand the use of the Credit Limit for, Joyce. 

    In lieu of change in the direct feature atm, one way to prevent further invoices from being raised for a contact could be to set their limit to the amount of the invoice due which would stop all future invoices for the contact being raised.

  3. My client has started using Projects which I'm finding not easy to use.

    We would like to assign bills directs to projects in Hubdoc.

    I also want to be able to give my client a list of bills that haven't been assigned. I can see this in bills to pay but its not printable/ exportable and there is no report that will give me this information.

    I would also like to include direct spends from bank feed instead of having to create a bill just so we can see its not assigned

  4. Being able to customize each user role is quite important as every person in every company does something different. Giving them access to systems they shouldn't have because the User Role they need to do their job allows them access to these other areas is a security risk in general.

    Putting in Custom Roles will also allow companies to adjust the Users to their Company Policies for controls.

    Appreciate the idea here - Being transparent, developing granular permissions or roles for every feature and action throughout Xero is not in our plans. 


    Understanding more of the permission sets majority of users need, will help understand where the biggest impact could be made. 

    I've slightly adjusted the title to suit the needs of the role you mentioned. We'll get a sense of others that'd like this too. 

  5. When using pre-printed check stock, information on the voucher overlaps information on the pre-printed check. If you could change the layout of the voucher, this problem could be eliminated.

    Thanks for starting this idea! Did you see last week that our Product Team released an update that helps speed things up on Xero Me Mobile? They’ve enabled the ability to copy previous time entries in start-end timesheets on a per day basis. To do this, enter your time entries as usual for the first day in your timesheet, and then select the “copy from [date]” option when adding a new time entry for a consecutive day.
    The team are interested in further exploring improvements in this area, but at this stage there are no firm plans to progress this idea. They’ve got their eyes on the ground though - closely monitoring your ideas, votes and comments.

  7. As an event company, we often receive bills months after the original project is "complete". I wish I could assign costs to "complete" projects the same way that I can assign invoices to "complete" projects.

    Hi Leah, when you've closed/completed a project it is still possible to add Bills and new Expense tasks to it. 

    From the bill you'll be able to look up and assign lines of your Bill, or within the project you can simply add an expense. The only transactions you can no longer add once closed are Billable expenses, Spend monies and time entries. 

    Is there a specific reason you need to enter the expense as one of these type of items? 

  8. Right now it's not possible to run the statements for a contact having different currencies. The statements will show the outstanding amount owed according to the default financial setting currency of the contact. It would be nice if we invoice a customer in different currencies to be able to produce one statement showing the balance even if it convert the other currencies to the default currency. Or produce different statements selecting the different currencies each time without having to go change the default currency in the contact each time.

  9. BILL OF MATERIALS WOULD BE AWESOME AS MOST OF THE APPS YOU CAN DOWNLOAD COST YOU R900 PER MONTH AND THAT IS A BIT ROUGH ESPECIALLY IF YOU ONLY NEED THE BILL OF MATERIAL SECTION.

Where funds span multiple financial years it would be good to be able to add a brought forward fund balance (balance sheet item) the the P&L fund report (income & expenditure for charities where tracking categories are used for the funds) so that the charity has full visibility of the fund available - last FY brought forward + net amount for this FY = total fund till available

  11. MANNUAL JOURNAL

    Please add a reference column for us to fill up so that posted journal are document in sequence number. The journal ID is actually act as audit trail Instead of journal reference number.

    Also, pleas please allow journal entries to be able to post entries to bank...its such a miserable, while journal entries supposingly existed to pass adjustment but doesn't allow pass entries....

  12. PAPDIS file download to include total Gross Salary and not just the Salary with the £520 not pensionable deducted and the pension provider we use (Creative) expects this in their upload. EVery month I have to edit Gross Pensionable Pay for all employees to add the £520 on the PAPDIS CSV I download.

  13. Currently fixed asset reports have to be run separately and there is no ability to add these into an existing report like the notes to the financial statements. It is reasonably standard to include a table in the notes that summarises cost, depreciation charged, accumulated depreciation and net book value for both the current year and the year prior.

    Requesting the functionality to pull this data from Xero into a report, rather than either having to run two separate fixed assets reports (one for each year) or a manual table where figures are typed in and manually added.

  14. In original invoicing the Chrome CopyTables extension worked to copy the data from the invoice into Excel for creating pivot tables; that feature doesn't work in new invoicing. We work with multiple vendors on a single project and it's significantly easier to place those orders by copying the tables from Xero into Excel and creating a pivot table. If the base code can't be adjusted to work with extensions like that than being able to export an invoice as a CSV would be helpful.

  15. It would be a really useful to be able to attach files to a bank account within Xero, much as you can to a contact or transaction.

    The use cases for this could be:
    When a disorganised client send bank statements in as attachments for irregular payments it would be very handy to be able to store those attached to the account in Xero; as close to where I would want to use them as possible.

    There are supporting documents that relate to an account as a whole - such as an accruals or prepayment schedule that would be great…

  16. I would like to see the specifics of the contacts activity on the main page of the contact. Currently you need to click on each transaction to see where the transaction was allocated. It would be nice to see it all on one page. It would be helpful if it was editable from that page as well. Instead you have to click again to edit the transaction. Currently in Quickbooks you can view/edit from the main client screen. I always appreciate less clicks. :D

  17. It would be useful to be able to reconcile a payment from one foreign bank account (eg USD) for another foreign currency.

    We tend to have predominately USD customers and a lot of EUR suppliers, so we find that quite often we make a payment to our EUR supplier out of our USD bank account.

    When reconciling this in the bank we have to post a payment to a manual clearing account to then be able to post the payment to the EUR Supplier account to clear the invoices.

  20. It makes no sense to always automatically change the description, price etc when the inventory code is changed.

    Hi David, could you provide a bit more detail of where you're finding this behaviour? It might even be best to raise this with our specialists at Xero Support who can get a closer look in.

    Editing an inventory items Item Code can be done independently so you shouldn't have to update the description or price.
