Report - Show Opening & Closing Balance, Total Debit & Credit for All Accounts in Columns
To have a report that can check the information of opening balance, total debit, total credit, and closing balance during the date range for the all the accounts in columns.

Contacts - Replace link for 'View recent bills' to filtered Supplier Bill Activity report
Can Supplier Bill Activity report be tied to this link (with auto-population of the supplier name in the report) so that I would not need to TYPE suppliers' names in the report every time I need to see the history of the supplier, which I do all the time?

Repeat Invoices - Ability to use Sales tax lookup(US)
There needs to be the option of including the sales tax lookup feature on repeating invoices. All of our subscription based monthly invoices are taxable in states where we have met the Nexus guidelines and therefore we will have to begin manually creating each invoice on a monthly basis which is extremely time consuming. It's hard to believe that this issue has not been raised before.

Contacts: Pay bills from supplier contact page
I would like the facility to pay a supplier from within the supplier page. You can see all the invoices that are due for payment while on the supplier page, but then have to leave that screen, go to bills to pay > awaiting payment > search supplier.
The process could be much simpler.7 votesAppreciate feedback on my recent update - If you're looking to pay one bill you can easily open the transaction from the Contacts page, however it's not possible to create a batch payment or pay multiple bills from this screen atm.
This isn't something we have plans for right now, but we'll re-open this idea to continue to track the interest. I'll share if there's any change or updates here.

Reporting - By Contact Group
Cost analysis by group type, e.g. we have a group for DD suppliers. It would be useful to analyse how much we spend by group over a set period. We are looking at setting up other groups soon so this would be very helpful.

AU Payroll - Re-sort super funds list
Currently the super funds appear in the super settings page in no particular order. It would be great if they appear in order so its easier to find and check if they have already been added or if a payment bounces and you need to check details.

Invoicing | Contact Group - Add attachments when sending invoices
Provide functionality in Xero to add attachments to a group invoice.
Annually when we issue membership
subscriptions there are a number of attachments that need to be included with the invoice, this is currently a manual process. Adding the sane attachments to over 80 invoices is time consuming and tedious.Given Xero has this functionality already, it should be expanded to include the functionality of adding attachments when creating an invoice o a contact group.
7 votesAppreciate your feedback here, everyone. While we've recently released contact group invoicing with new invoicing, the ability to attach and send an attachment has not changed for the time being.
Contact Group invoicing will only create draft invoices for the contacts within that group, so you'll need to attach any documents to the individual invoices that are created and select to include these with the invoice when sending.
We'll continue to review this idea as a future enhancement, and I'll let you know if there are any changes planned, here.

Reporting customisation - M1 - Medicare levy exemption' and 'M2 - Medicare levy surcharge' are not available.
We would like to be able to generate a report that would capture all clients that are entitled to Medicare levy exemption.

Bills to Pay - Remove 'New bill' drop down
With the "new look" bills having been implemented, all the different bill options are under a drop down where you select new bill, new CN, new repeating etc.
I appreciate that this looks tidier or something, but when you're inputting about 20 CNs, having to go through the dropdown for each of them is really tedious.
Also: after approving a bill there's an option to add another bill directly, but that doesn't happen if the bill is submitted for approval or saved as draft. Can this be implemented?There is also no option to go straight to a new CN from an approved bill (never has been there) so now with the new layout we have to go to the main Bills to Pay page, click on the dropdown, select new CN.
It's all just extra clicks, when I imagine the whole goal is to streamline and make the process quicker/easier/simpler where it's doing the opposite. 2 votesHi there, I know it's been sometime since you first raised your idea with us here, and as you may have noticed there have been a lot more changes within the bills to pay space that improve flows and efficiency in managing your bills.
It'd be good to hear back if you're finding these changes have improved things for you when entering and managing bills - For example rather than approving individual bills, with the quick view you can now quickly scan the detail and approve single or multiple bills at once from the list view, and with New bill drop down available on this same screen, you can + New credit note without extra clicks.

Reports - Open assets in new tab on Fixed Assets report
Hi, sometimes I need to open several assets on the asset register at once, side by side and in separate tabs. In the old style report this is really easy as each asset line has a blue clickable link.
In the new report the only way I can see to open an individual asset is by clicking on the whole line which then navigates away from the main listing. You then have to navigate back to the listing to open the next one. This makes things slow and tedious and I lose my place.
Can we have the blue links back please!

Bank Feeds - Set up two different bank logins from one Xero login
We have two accounts (bank & credit card) from the same institution. For bank feeds, please allow multiple logins from the same institution.
Once we login for a bank feed on one of the accounts, we can't set up the bank feed for the other account. It just asks us to choose the already logged in account.

They said "a Xero user can only use one set of credentials (per bank) in a Xero organisation. We recommend that you ask another Xero user to login and activate the feed for the second account, as they'll be prompted to enter the alternative bank login credentials."
But it is not a great solution to provide sensitive bank credentials to another user. And otherwise, we would have to pay for and manage an extra dummy user.

Reporting - Monthly Transaction count
For accountants and bookeepers who charge fees based on number of transaction lines being recorded it will be great if a simple report can indicate the number / count of transactions recorded by each Source in a given period.
This will also be helpful for new accountants and book keeper who are sourcing for clients who are using Xero to share that details so a smart quotation can be provided

Bank Rec: Option to add pre-defined bank fee to subtotal when reconciling payments
My payment provider has recently started taking their fee percentage prior to the deposit, versus charging me at the end of the month.
This has caused each of my deposits to mismatch the invoice total.
Meaning, I need to add a bank fee on each individual transaction.
It would be EXTREMELY useful to have a "default bank fee" or "default credit card fee" button that would:
1) Remember the Contact as [Payment Provider] (currently have to type that in manually)
2) Add a default description "Credit Card Processing Fee"
3) Allocate the charge to an account [5150 - Credit Card Fees] (currently have to type that in manually)
4) Allocate the Tax Account (currently have to type this in manually)
5) Add the amount that the total is out by (currently have to type that in manually)I have attached a .gif of me doing this manually. This is THE SAME PROCESS for EVERY SINGLE BATCH TRANSACTION and thus would save 1000s of man hours daily across your userbase.

Management report pack - Add Activity Statement
It would be great to be able to add to a Management Report pack the Bank Reconciliation and Activity Statement for the client.

Inventory - Reserve inventory for consignment or pre-sales
Ability to reserve inventory (through invoices or some other format) to account for pre-sales or consignment of goods
Purpose: Make some inventory reserved so it cannot be sold through other channels

If the repeating bill is deleted, the link of the repeating bills will be broken and we cannot get the attachment in the repeating bill.so I suggest
1. having the attachment in the repeating bill attach to the actual bill when Xero create the bill; or
2. have an archive function for repeating bills that are expired so that the actual bill can still be have a link to the repeating bill to find the attachment.Attachments such as working or scanned bills are important.

Projects - Add Project Start Date and the Name of who started it.
Projects- Add date project is started in xero and the name of who started it. This will help us to be able to determine how many days a job took from order date to completion.
We will also be able to tell who started the project if we need further information about it. Something like the 'History and Notes' in the Invoices, where there is a record of who generated the 'Project' and on what date and who makes changes along the way would be perfect. We currently have a project that we are not able to see when it was started or who put it in there and have no other information on the job.Projects- Add date project is started in xero and the name of who started it. User role: Control and restrict access to accounts in Xero
We use Xero for our Bookkeeping business & would like to invite clients to view only the information pertaining to their individual business records. Right now, anyone who logs in can see every other client’s information, as well as their own.
