  1. Turnover per XERO and VAT declared Net Sales should be ideally Equal ,however often may not match and therefore need reconciling-which is important to understand the difference from both the YE accounts and HMRC point of view .

    There should be a report in XERO which can facilitate this reconciliation rather than use spreadsheets -which is time consuming when the information is already existing in XERO

    One of difference arising is -"The Date" invoice created and approved -are different and will report in different periods of the VAT return and Xero Sales Nominal Account

  2. Team Xero
    currently TB report shows ending balances for current year in db/cr two columns AND in single column Clubbed up remaining balances +/- in when COMPANRED to previous periods.

    I propose/request IT to make TB more classic by

    1. showing ALL remaining balances in two columns DB/CR when comparing previous years
    2. OPENING and CLOSING balances columns to be available (year selected from starting of fiscal year Jan20xx)
    3. TB report to ALLOW us to SELECT RANGE of dates (Range based TB)
    4. MOVEMENT (total Debits Total Credits) for the selected DATE and/OR RANGE should be available. CURRENTLY this is available in GL…

  3. Hi

    I was wondering whether you are looking at adding more filters to the Customer Invoice Report so that we can filter it by a single Contact? Presently whenever I need to show a customer what they have and haven't paid and on what dates, I am exporting the whole report to excel and then deleting all the lines that don't relate to that contact.

    See how you can access and tailor all the new Contact reports on our Blog - Test them out for yourself and let us know what you think.

    I can also confirm the issue with only the first 100s contacts has been resolved, so you should be able to access all contacts from the drop-down selection now.

  4. I was requesting for "Account Type" and "Source" as options that can be added to "Journal" report.
    Staff replied these options are available in "General Ledger Details" report and "Journal ID" is also available in "General Ledger Details" report now.
    However, the "General Ledger Details" report does not have accounting entries posting date and who was it posted by.
    Please add (1) "Account Type" and "Source" to "Journal" report, or (2) "Posted Date" and "Posted By" to "General Ledger Details" report.

  6. We are a meadery that often sells mead in kegs. This idea would also apply to breweries.

    I use a "Keg" inventory item to track the physical keg shells. I use a separate item for the product inside the keg. So an invoice for one keg will show two items: the mead itself and the keg. This helps me keep track of our physical kegs on hand, weather they are full or empty.

    When a client returns a keg, they receive a credit note for returning the keg. In addition to getting their deposit back, this keeps my inventory correct.

  8. My client has started using Projects which I'm finding not easy to use.

    We would like to assign bills directs to projects in Hubdoc.

    I also want to be able to give my client a list of bills that haven't been assigned. I can see this in bills to pay but its not printable/ exportable and there is no report that will give me this information.

    I would also like to include direct spends from bank feed instead of having to create a bill just so we can see its not assigned

  9. Ability to identify which Xero files staff members who leave the firm have direct access to the client Xero file as opposed to being granted access from a firm level. This way, before you delete the user from Xero HQ/Blue you can check to see if any clients need to be contacted to update to invite the firm rather than a specific employee.

  10. When reconciling bank account, then publishing it should display the bank details as setup in chart of accounts - it just just says bank reconciliation. So makes it hard to know which report is which. Once reconciled it should default to the the next date so you don't have to change dates continuously.

We run two different VAT registrations for one company (UK and IE) so we have both UK and Irish tax types, we run our VAT returns for different periods for the two country's (UK is quarterly and Ireland is bi-monthly). The sales tax report needs an option to filter for certain tax types so we can run it for only UK tax types or only Irish Tax types. We also need the option for backdated / adjusted items after the return (as we cannot link directly to HMRC having both country's VAT running we don't get the same functionality as…

  12. We are using bank rules extensively. Being able to search the bank rules via a downloadable report would help us determine which accounts are being impacted by bank rules. There is no way for us to currently see the accounts impacted by a rule without opening each individual bank rule... which is very time consuming.

    Hi everyone, thanks to those who took part in the ‘search your bank rules’ pilot - the feedback we received from this was really valuable.

    I’m pleased to let you know that we’ve now rolled out the ability to search bank rules for all Xero users, permanently, and you should all have access to this on the bank rules list screen! 🎉 I’ll go ahead and mark this feature as done to return your votes to you all.

    I do appreciate that the export aspect of this request hasn’t been completed, however most feedback here has actually only requested the ability to search bank rules. If you’re wanting the ability to export as well though, please start a new feature request so we can monitor the specific interest for this.

  13. Currently if you've created a custom report & then select (for eg) the Budget Variance report from the side-bar, all the customisations you've created disappear. We create these customisations for good reason & rarely do we only want to see the one report in that format, so customisation should carry through to the side-bar reports.

  14. We need the ability to delete a custom report. Many times a custom report is necessary for a period of time then no longer needed. I see no way to delete it. That would be VERY helpful.

  18. I need to be able to run the "Income and Expenses by Contact" by Due Date rather than by Invoice Date, i.e. I would like to be able to select a date range and then there could be a drop down selection indicating whether these dates are Invoice Dates or Due Dates.

    We are a SaaS company with monthly subscription invoices, and what I am trying to achieve by running the report by Due Date is to report by the usage month which the invoice relates to.

  19. When a leave request comes in for approval and the employee can take leave in advance (the box is ticked), it should show you how many hours the employee has available. This amount should be the number available minus the leave balance that has already been approved in the system. The leave balance report is only useful when employees can't take leave in advance in their first year.   20. It would be helpful to have the reports, once exported to Excel, already formatted, so that the Nil values are shown as a 'dash' as opposed to '0'. This is particularly useful when there is a large report or several reports with lots of data. It is more efficient when it comes to reviewing the figures, and saves having to custom format the individual reports.
