  1. For accountants and bookeepers who charge fees based on number of transaction lines being recorded it will be great if a simple report can indicate the number / count of transactions recorded by each Source in a given period.

    This will also be helpful for new accountants and book keeper who are sourcing for clients who are using Xero to share that details so a smart quotation can be provided

    Hi Manesh, have you tried the new Account transactions report? When you run this report you'll be able to see how many items are in the report, noted in the menu bar at the bottom of the screen. 

  2. Would like to be able to find and recode transactions in bulk or have a report somehwere, where we can search the "include Adjustment to Tax" amount on any transactions. There is currently no way to find transactions that have this and to correct we have to find the batch payment, undo, edit the invoice, approve and re-batch. Not ideal.

  3. Bring back Dividend Voucher creation.

    Dividend payments are almost mandatory for small business to be tax efficient and operational.
    It used to be a feature but was removed, which is a shame because now i have to manage yet another document.
    Other packages offer this basic functionality.

    Hi Calem, the Dividend Voucher report is available to users that are part of a UK based Practice and has not been removed - If you're a part of a UK Xero Practice and don't see this in the Adviser tab, perhaps a user in the practice has accidentally removed it.

    It'll be easy enough to add back though. If you have the edit report templates permission on Xero HQ, just click New Template > Copy From where the report will be available to select from the Xero Templates list 🙂

  4. Hi, I'm wondering if there is a method to generate a customer statement balance report with multiple currencies (including a contact filter) and export it in Excel spreadsheet.

    I've attempted a few approaches previously:
    Using the path: 1) Business->Invoice -> Send statements. However, this only displays the source currency and doesn't offer an Excel export option.

    2) Accounting -> Report -> Account transactions
    While this displays transactions in multiple currencies, it doesn't provide the option to show the balance brought forward from the previous month.

    3) Accounting -> Report -> Customer Invoice Activity Unfortunately, this report only shows the functional…

  5. I was requesting for "Account Type" and "Source" as options that can be added to "Journal" report.
    Staff replied these options are available in "General Ledger Details" report and "Journal ID" is also available in "General Ledger Details" report now.
    However, the "General Ledger Details" report does not have accounting entries posting date and who was it posted by.
    Please add (1) "Account Type" and "Source" to "Journal" report, or (2) "Posted Date" and "Posted By" to "General Ledger Details" report.

  6. I have Integrated the Zoho Analytics with Xero through the Import Service in Zoho Analytics. But I am unable to fetch the Xero project module data, rest other modules data I received in Zoho Analytics.
    Please let me know how i can get the projects module data also. So I can create reports over Xero project module in Zoho Analytics , and can include this report in the dashboard which I have created in Zoho Analytics.

    Hi Stefano, we have an API ideas forum where these sort of integration requests are best suited. I'd recommend starting an idea for this across there where we have experts and a community that have the knowledge to review and keep you updated of any changes for this, there.

  7. Could you reintroduce a very important item in the new Account Transactions reports the Opening Balances in the Asset / Liability accounts. The Old report has this feature and it is essential for reconciling accounts such as Super Payable, PAYG Payable. In view of Old reports being discontinued next year, this will be a major issue.

  10. When a leave request comes in for approval and the employee can take leave in advance (the box is ticked), it should show you how many hours the employee has available. This amount should be the number available minus the leave balance that has already been approved in the system. The leave balance report is only useful when employees can't take leave in advance in their first year.   11. Ability to identify which Xero files staff members who leave the firm have direct access to the client Xero file as opposed to being granted access from a firm level. This way, before you delete the user from Xero HQ/Blue you can check to see if any clients need to be contacted to update to invite the firm rather than a specific employee.

  13. We are using bank rules extensively. Being able to search the bank rules via a downloadable report would help us determine which accounts are being impacted by bank rules. There is no way for us to currently see the accounts impacted by a rule without opening each individual bank rule... which is very time consuming.

    Hi everyone, thanks to those who took part in the ‘search your bank rules’ pilot - the feedback we received from this was really valuable.

    I’m pleased to let you know that we’ve now rolled out the ability to search bank rules for all Xero users, permanently, and you should all have access to this on the bank rules list screen! 🎉 I’ll go ahead and mark this feature as done to return your votes to you all.

    I do appreciate that the export aspect of this request hasn’t been completed, however most feedback here has actually only requested the ability to search bank rules. If you’re wanting the ability to export as well though, please start a new feature request so we can monitor the specific interest for this.

    Hi everyone, we're now happy to say that the enhanced Cash summary report is now released, which has the ability to sort by account code.

    To do this, you can click 'More', then tick 'Account codes' checkbox. Once this is done, you can also save the report as 'Custom' if using account code is your preferred layout, so the next time you open the report, you don't need to tick the checkbox again - see our article for more information.

  15. We need the ability to delete a custom report. Many times a custom report is necessary for a period of time then no longer needed. I see no way to delete it. That would be VERY helpful.

Where funds span multiple financial years it would be good to be able to add a brought forward fund balance (balance sheet item) the the P&L fund report (income & expenditure for charities where tracking categories are used for the funds) so that the charity has full visibility of the fund available - last FY brought forward + net amount for this FY = total fund till available

  19. My client has started using Projects which I'm finding not easy to use.

    We would like to assign bills directs to projects in Hubdoc.

    I also want to be able to give my client a list of bills that haven't been assigned. I can see this in bills to pay but its not printable/ exportable and there is no report that will give me this information.

    I would also like to include direct spends from bank feed instead of having to create a bill just so we can see its not assigned
