  1. Repeating Invoices have the option to provide an optional 'End Date', however it can sometimes be difficult and/or time consuming to identify the correct end date. There's also potential to miscalculate the correct end date which can sometimes result in customers being under or over charged if the selected end date results in the wrong quantity of payments.

    It would be very useful if there was a 'Quantity' option for Repeating Invoices which would automatically select the correct end date. Therefore eliminating over/under payments.

    This feature would be useful for those who know exactly how many times a repeating invoice…

  2. So simple but not available. To record an absence i.e. sickness (unpaid) IN DAYS and to have a simple report showing dates and number of days sick.

  3. Reconciling funds - I need to be able to save Reconciling items while I'm half way through reconciling.
    eg - I receive large amounts via bank statement - eg $16,000. That $16,000 will be made up of 10 holiday home bookings. Then I break down each booking into cleaning, credit card fees, our company commission, Airbnb commission, etc etc. Sometimes there may be up to 80-100 lines of items. Currently I can not save and it is really frustrating as it can take an hour to do and then if I have to leave or can't reconcile I need to…

  4. The "Review and pay" banner misleads recipients into thinking they can make electronic payments, but we're not using e-invoicing and have it turned off. Another major issue is that it causes significant delays in loading or, in some cases, renders the invoice completely inaccessible. The banner in the new invoicing should be named "Review" rather than "Review and pay" or be editable to suit different needs.

When checking information on the inventory screen it would be extremely helpful if you could click on the 'In committed quotes' or 'Quantity on order' to see the customer or supplier to which they are assigned. Sometimes I need to chase a supplier for parts but have to waste time trawling through the purchase orders to track down who they have been order from. Likewise it would save time to be able to go straight to the customer quoted once an item has been received.

  7. Add numerical discount to invoicing in the mobile app. This is a feature on the browser, currently the mobile app only allows a % discount.

    When you go from browser to app having applied a £ discount on the invoice. The app converts it into a % and show different amounts.

    Hi team, appreciate your feedback and wanting consistency between the web and mobile functionality.

    While I can confirm our product team are aware and across the idea here we want to be honest that we don't have immediate plans for developing the ability to add amount discounts within the Xero Accounting app.

    We'll keep tracking the votes and interest through this idea and update you if there's any news to share.

  8. When an employee has set amounts to be paid to multiple bank accounts, if there are insufficient funds to pay the amounts Xero allocates to the lowest amount not the order of the bank accounts. This means that payments like rent can be short paid. It would be good to have a flag notifying you of this and an easier way to reorganise the payments.

  9. Option to link bill due dates to a calendar, ie iCal, Google, Outlook etc. We use a scheduling program called Flight Schedule Pro for bookings and it has this useful feature.

  10. The Classic version of Invoicing used to inform you on the view of an invoice that was created from a Repeating Invoice when the Repeating Template had been deleted.
    The new version does not give you this information resulting in confusion and wasted time.
    Please see screen shots below.
    This is causing us a major headache as we have lots of Repeating Invoices that have to be cancelled and if a user isn't sure new invoicing doesn't help but allows you to go through the process of trying to delete the template again which results in an error.

    Hi Chris, we appreciate you raising this message with us. It's something our team have added to their backlog but want to be open that we don't have active plans for changing for the time being. We'll continue to monitor the feedback here and I'll share if there is any progress.

  11. In New Invoicing we can now hide the tax amount column. As this is for organisations that are not registered for tax, the Tax Rate column is also redundant so would it be possible to hide that too? We are set up as No VAT Scheme so both these columns just get in the way and it seems odd that we can mask one but not the other when you only ever need both or neither.

    While we're at it, could we do the same in Billing?

    Hi Candice, timestamps in your org are set by the timezone set in the organisation's financial settings. From your idea here, would you want to be setting this manually or based off another setting somewhere?

  14. Thank you for delivering to keep the existing contact when copying an invoice. Now when you email the invoice the email address is not populated from the contact file. You have to go and look it up to send the copied invoice.

    Please refer to the contact details and pre-populate their contact email addresses.

    Sorry Lynne, It's a bit hard to troubleshoot and get the detail to understand why your contacts details like email aren't coming through to your copied invoice. I've just tested this with Draft and approved invoices being copied and the email of the contact was bought through each time as expected. I'd recommend raising this with our specialist through the Contact Xero Support option in Xero Central for closer inspection.


    Thanks for also checking on this, Olga - that message on defaults application is related to the Sales defaults saved against inventory items or the contacts record but doesn't apply to the contacts personal details. These should be applied when copying an invoice.

    To explain a little more - The reason defaults aren't automatically applied is because the line item fields will be prefilled with the information from the existing invoice that the new one is copied from.

  15. Hi, It would be great to see customers who exceeded their credit limits on the dashboard. We push sales invoices from third-party app therefore we don't see alerts if someone has no credit limit left. If we could see a list on the dashboard we could act immediately. Thanks

  17. SSP EXTENSION; There needs to be a way of extending SSP
    Most people who are off sick are not aware of when they will return, it is often necessary to be able to extend SSP. It is not acceptable to have a process that requires reverting payroll. I am still trying to get almost £5000 back from HMRC because Xero reported the variance in April as an additional payroll & the YTD figures have not corrected the issue. Reverting payroll should be the very last resort & not used for something as standard as stat sick leave.

  18. Would be great if Xero could trigger an automated (email and/or text) reminder to the superannuation payment approver 10, 5 and one days out from the superannuation due date each quarter.

    A similar reminder feature already exists in XPM for Activity Statement Lodgements - reminders can be turned on.

    Xero also has the ability to automate reminders to Customers around bill payment.

    Xero has the email and SMS of the superannaution approver already on file.

My Idea: Somewhere to enter a prepaid annual or longterm expense (ie Insurance) that can first go into a Prepaid Expenses asset account and then set to either expense at regular intervals until "used up" or able to manually expense as periods come to a close. This manager would help keep track of all prepaid expenses in one place and would keep a running balance for each item. Viewing options would include being able to filter/sort by item (ie 2023 Insurance Premium), or by type (ie software subscriptions) or by expense account (ie Insurance Expense).

    Hi team, while we don't have a direct feature that would automate the entire process, there is a way to record and do this in Xero.

    You could set up an account for the expense in your Chart of accounts, and reconcile the original payment to this account. You could then set up a repeating bill or invoice template to auto generate and you'd make payments on it to the same account to reduce the balance over a period of time.
