  1. Search by Employee across all of Payroll reports. We have 110 - 120 staff, currently we have to scroll down to find the right employee, can we have a standards search by employee. ie/ start typing their name and then hit enter

    Hi Belinda, to check in on your idea here are you looking for similar to the Pay History report that allows you to search the employee versus drop down and select as you do in the Leave Transactions report? 

  2. I really need to add notes to the Budget Manager fields to explain (as much to aid my own memory as anything) how I calculated the amounts in each line for each month. This will be helpful when the budget is interrogated at Board meetings and I can easily reference what was included in the expected income or expenditure figures for a month. Xero has this facility in other financial reports, but it is desperately needed in budget manager.

    Hello community, we’re happy to let you know that you’re now able to add a date paid column in the Receivable Invoice Summary report. To see the date paid column in this report, you’ll need to tick the ‘Last Payment Date’ option under Columns.

    Thank you for raising this idea, we’ll now move this to ‘delivered’ status

  5. Hi Xero Support,

    So basically, I would like to generate P&L by Tracking Category only for those categories which have activity during the month, those which have no activities (zero transaction), I would like to exclude it. So, my reports will be not too long and comprehensive.

    Hi Budi, perhaps related to how you've set the report up however this is already possible with the 'Compare tracking categories' selection. For example if you select 10 tracking options to compare in your Profit & Loss and there is no activity for 2 of your tracking options within the period these columns will be excluded when the report is run.

    This is now live for all reports, including the Bank Reconciliation reports 🎉 

    You’ll now see a page number when exporting any report to a .pdf.Previously, it was only possible to add page number to Advisor reports. 

    I’ve attached a screenshot with an example of this in action, but for more information, check out our Export and print a report Xero Central article.

  7. Please can we have the option to drill down a project summary/project financial report to only include submitted/paid invoices and to be able to have the option to exclude draft invoices

Previously, in Xero, you could star/save a report by going to the reports page and either looking for the report in the summary tab and then clicking the star next to the report you were looking for, or by using the search bar in the top right hand corner to find the specific report and then starring/saving it after you had searched for it. Now, when you try to star/save a report after typing something in the search bar, the report will not save. I have a client that needs to apply the Apprenticeship levy and this is not available on Xero Payroll as this is normally a function for large companies and not small companies that Xero are focusing on. This is a small company, but do form part of a large UK group therefore are sucked into reporting this to HMRC. Can this function be integrated into Xero payroll to be switched on when needed? Reading through some of the suggestions from clients and they all have a similar background theme - the reporting engine in Xero is decades behind what should a rich and easy to use reporting engine. Unfortunately it just doesn't exist. The back end data is difficult to access and find the correct meta data to even start building something that is remotely useable.   12. The longer I use Xero the more supplier invoices it stores.
    When I use the recent bills report it takes so long to go back to the beginning 2015 in my case before it allows you to put in a date search.
    It would be great if we could have a function to archive old supplier and customer invoices- not losing them altogether but just in the background to be viewed if needed.

  13. When an employee has a postponed autoenrollment the pension doesn't prompt or show up until just before the payment run has been posted. Making any prior payroll reports and payslips incorrect as the pension then tags on at the end. So reports then need to be reprinted and balanced again.

    Can the prompt no show up at the start of the pay run? This will then save any duplicated reports and potential incorrect payments.

    Also the pension filing report viewable before the RTI posting.

  14. From "business" then "bills to pay" or "invoices" and click on "export" from a search result, the payment dates are missing in both the Invoices and Bills export files. Only the invoice dates and due dates are exported. Please add payment dates to the reports. Thanks.

  15. Custom reports- why there such a large gap of blank wasted space between the account names and the first column!! We create month x month reports ie 12 months of columns wide, so it is very frustrating when you create a PDF with all those columns on it and there is that great wasted space before the first column!!!

  18. Adding a Categories/Tracking column to the transactions Dashboard. this would highlight the fact that a category label is missing. so when running the budget variances the report would include ALL the transactions for a specific category.

  19. To be able to export the graphs from the dashboard into excel or PDF, the same as you can reports from the reports page. There are no graphs that I can extract and those on the dashboard would be useful in adding to reports I send to board members who are not on Xero.

  20. We're currently using xero projects a lot and something that happens fairly regularly is staff posting time entries into finalised periods. I.e. we have run reports and finalised an accounting period and then there have been later changes in those periods in xero projects. It would be good to be able to lock periods in xero projects as we do with financial informtation in xero.
