Customer Statements - Add a Pay Now link
Ability to add a Pay Now link to statements so customers can pay all outstanding bills via the statement they receive.
Purpose: To make it easier for customers to view and pay their outstanding bills and make a bulk payment for all at once.
Hi everyone, we wanted to return and give a little more information with the update of this idea's status.
Our product team are currently looking into the development of adding the Pay now button to Customer statements which would enable your customers to pay for multiple invoices at once.
Though it's early days at present we'll keep you updated of their progress, here.

Totally agreed. It reduces a lot of time for the customer and client manager to reconcile and match payments. Please add in.

Absolutely needed, customers pay on statements. So frustrating that it's not possible at the moment

This is a feature that needs to be added urgently! I agree with people's comments that most customers pay off their statements rather than individual invoices anyway, especially customers with many monthly invoices.
MYOB has a fantastic solution for this, where customers can view all of their outstanding invoices, select which ones they want to pay, and use their credit card to make the bulk payment. This is precisely the thing Xero needs to add.
This is a very common request from my customers, and I imagine many, many other business' customers!

I completely agree with the other recent comments, it does not make sense for Xero to rather focus on what they believe their customers want rather that what their customers are telling them they actually want.
Improving collections by reducing the friction for customers to pay and therefore improving cash flow is probably the top priority for every Xero user. -

Does anyone at Xero actually use their product to run a real business ?
I'm guessing not, otherwise they'd realise that making it simple for customers to pay outstanding balances trumps all other features."Building on beautiful" - what a load of BS. Seems that marketing is of more importance than actual functionality. Very poor.

I think there are some priority issues here
'pretty invoices' vs 'efficient receipt of payments'
most companies I know would prefer the later
oh except Xero of course.
seriously disappointing response

Pathetic response, not listening to customers needs, time to find an alternative software. Enjoy building on a beautiful non-functional product.

Time has come up to move to a different software, MYOB has already implemented this feature Pay Now on Statement of Account. Thank you Xero for everything!

This is a very poor response. I'm sure many businesses like us don't use Xero for invoicing as we have a separate software for this that is integrated with Xero. We moved from Quickbooks because they didn't listen to their customers.
How much more improvement do the invoices in Xero need? Is that really more important than making it easier for your customers to collect money from their customers? I'm baffled by this logic and greatly disappointed.

Do you really think your customers will value “building on beautiful” above being able to collect payments from their clients? If so, you must be targeting your product at some market other than SMEs. I can’t imagine in the current economic environment that they have a higher priority for the invoicing component of their accounting system than optimizing collecting payments.

Kelly at Xero team,
You mention listening and evolving the platform in "building on beautiful", but then say thanks for feedback but XERO have no plans to develop our collective request for a pay now feature on Statements. It feels like XERO is indifferent to this request, despite the support which is very disappointing. Perhaps a bigger customer feedback campaigned is needed on a social media platform to increase the the current XERO interest. Can anyone suggest a hashtag? -

That is really disappointing Kelly & I think very poor client service from Xero. This is a very basic function and an obvious benefit to all. I can't see why this shouldn't be a simple fix nor why Xero, who are providing an accounting software, think that giving the ability to send out statements with multilple invoices & a final balance is sufficient & would not need a facility to pay the balance??? It makes no logical sense. It would be better to remove the option to send a statement, as what is the point if the end client can't then pay it? Makes chasing outstanding balances really hard work.

Disappointing response today from Xero

Every month I send statements to our overdue clients, every month I get asked if they can pay all in one go not having to pay each invoice separately.
This is seriously a must have feature, and I don't understand why the Xero team can't see this. -

We need this option we have so many clients that would like this option on the statement to pay via credit card and not via bank details, if this could be looked at as an option to add it would make it so useful

This pay now option would make it easier for both parties.

We would like the statement to list invoice numbers and the client can select the ones they are wishing to pay in one lump sum. They will then see any outstanding balance & invoices.
This feature should be introduced.
