  1. When a tax return is created from a job you need to manually link this to the job once the tax obligation is created. It would be good if this automatically linked to the job like AU and NZ

  3. It would be a HUGE time saver if we had the ability to attach supporting documents to the journals posted through Xero Workpapers (in the same way that we can attach documents to journals posted directly in Xero).

  4. We 'import from xero' the data to preopolute the tax return. However, the P&L and Balance Sheet items appear in the tax return as a worksheet when printed. It would be great if this was excluded, but retained the other worksheets.

  6. It would be good to see the tax rate deducted for RWT/DWT/ICA for interest and dividends when printed on the tax statements worksheet/schedules. Then you can see that the information has been entered correctly (ie 33% for tax on dividends)
    Also be better to have use of money interest adding into the terminal tax date in the tax payment summary showing total payable, rather than a sentence above it!

  8. Xero HQ report templates overwrite the order of accounts to alphabetical when accessed at a client. The report templates are in the correct part of the financial statement for the client, but then it defaults to alphabetical order. This requires you to change the order for each client, even though it was done at the HQ level.

  9. When entering a number of invoices for the same customer or vendor it would be great not having to reenter the name for each entry. Recommend the ability to "pin" a name for multiple entries under the same name.

  10. We occasionally have issues when transferring Xero subscriptions with the notification being missed by the other party. Is it possible for the subscriber to receive an email when the transfer period is due to expire and the other party has not accepted?

  11. FBT Returns - I have been informed by Xero Support that FBT Returns can only be created for the following structure types:

    Individual
    Company
    Trust
    Partnership
    Self Managed Superannuation Fund

    Noting that individuals, partnerships and SMSF do not require FBT Returns it seems more prudent to make them available for the club and society structures who actually my have FBT to lodge.

    Hi Lucy, thanks for sharing this specific feedback about our AU Tax module. We know that small adjustments to default settings can often make a big difference in streamlining a workflow.

    We've reviewed your suggestion to change the default option to 'Yes' for transferring capital gains to the tax return on the Managed Fund Schedule. Your idea is now ready to gain support and feedback from other tax preparers in the community.

    Along with votes, others can now comment to share if this default setting would better match their own process and improve efficiency when preparing returns.

  13. The job budget is a key piece of information for all staff to have visibility. However the Budget field on a job is only visible if staff have Access Financial Data permissions. Giving Access Financial Data permissions allows staff to view and edit client billing details, edit practice subscription and export subscription. Surely, such wide ranging powers is not appropriate for ALL staff.

    Surely this permission should fall under the "Manage Jobs" permission matrix not under Finances permission matrix.

  14. We would like to see more custom report options that reflect the returns so we can interrogate and pull information out of Xero tax in relation to clients

    In particular, get a list of every client that has a number in the Tax Return Labels – Interest Expense or Interest Expense overseas or Royalty Expenses Overseas - See attach screenshots

  15. Please can the corporation tax computation include a calculation of the marginal relief.

    This would need to include the amount of associated companies and the calculation of the marginal relief amount rather than just showing the total of marginal relief.

  16. I know this is not critical for the reporting accuracy of Xero within, but it would be a great help to those who extract many times a report from Xero and have multiple clients handling. I hope Xero Support can find ways to be consistent in their naming convention by default. And not overriding names thru Report layouts. Thanks!

    Appreciate sharing your thoughts on date conventions used across reports in Xero, Danmark. While there's standardisation across the way dates are shown across Xero, there can be slight differences based on region, as well as the period being reflected.

    For example all regions excepting US will show date format as Date Month Year, where-as US will be formatted as Month Day, Year.

    When Xero reports for a general period like an entire month or year this is abbreviated to the shortest date format that represents that period e.g June 2025 or 2025 respectively, however when running a report for a singular 'as at' date the entire date is shown such as 13 June 2025.

    While I appreciate it doesn't mean a change to the formatting that you're requesting here, hopefully this sheds light on where date formatting may differ and gives more assurance that there's a structured approach to how…

  17. It would be great if there was some automatic notification to the client/job manager that a draft invoice has been raised and is awaiting approval.

    Probably just one email per day so they are not being spammed!

  20. When running reports, posting timesheets etc, it would be good for the client search function to search the entire name, rather than requiring exact input. Similarly, the ability to type a date in any format (e.g. DD/MM/YY), rather than being exact or using the calendar icon.
