  2. This would help a lot!

    What :Can the notes section be made available to view from Contacts tab .
    Why : You have to click on files to see it
    How: If it is there I can see if I have to watch out for anything specific ..i.e rate change or new bank details

    Hi Andy, do you know about the separate notes feature in the Contact details rather than History & Notes? You can add notes about your contact that will be displayed on Contact details tab of a Contact record. Appreciate still maybe not as efficient as you'd like ti to be but maybe a little more prominent and save a click 🙂

  3. Being able to filter with in the archive space of Xero HQ. This would enable sorting of clients to clean up clients with Xero files etc.

  4. Add cc/bcc field to the OoA email when sending. Better: ability to have it pre-populated with a cc/bcc address. Allow sending to alternate email account, including a CRM.

  6. We need a transaction list for all contact where the unapplied payment amount reflects. It is very difficult to compare our Xero statement with transaction list from a supplier (or debtor for that matter) if you have to export the Xero report on the contact to be able to add up all applied payments and then only be able to compare statements.
    The Contact summary Report should have the option of seeing the report with applied payments or show the payment amount as it came (or was paid out) to suppliers / customers.

    Hi Elmie, just trying to understand your idea here a little better - when you mention 'unapplied payment amount' would this be an amount that's been paid by your customer but hasn't yet been applied to the invoice, or the outstanding amount of an invoice once payment has been applied ?

  7. Wnen editing a transaction - to change tracking, for example - Xero, by default, changes the transaction date to the date of the amendment. This causes problems when the transaction crosses a FY boundary. It would be less problematic if the original transaction date was retained, unless the user specifically changes it.

  8. It would be incredibly helpful for us to be able to view the notes on a profile when you view it at group level.

    Currently we don’t use this feature because when a note applies to a whole group (which it often does), how do you know what entity or individual within the group to record the note against.

    Creating the view to see all notes for a group it won’t matter so much where the employee decided to leave that note.

  13. Xero apps - In Xero HQ we use to have the apps under the explorer tab, to see the most popular apps and what clients are using them. It was highly useful to advise clients when an app was to cease or we were introducing an alternative to see who was using it.

    Appreciate the interest and hearing the use you have in seeing integrated apps your clients have connected.

    As some will have received communication of some time back - we made the hard decision to retire Explorer in Xero HQ from 12 April, 2023.

    Right now, if you'd like to see the apps a client has connected you can open the Xero organisation, go to settings and select Connected apps.

    While this is something we may consider developing elsewhere in Xero HQ down the road, it isn't in the teams plans right now. We'll continue to track interest here, and let you know if there is any change surrounding this to share. Thanks

  14. A report for strictly manual journals that would show ID, Narration, accts, etc, or the ability to filter manual journals in the current journal report.

  15. A number of our clients simply use hubdoc as a filing system as publishing to Xero is not as simple as they would like.
    So we maintain their Hubdoc accounts, we update the document type and archive. It would savea huge amount of time if we could bulk edit and bulk archive rather than having to do this one document at a time.

  16. I would like to set an 'auto archive' rule at a supplier level. This would be useful for expense which have a bank rule set up in Xero. Eg Xero subscription bills, other subscription invoices.

  17. We use multiple tax agent numbers across our business yet when we lodge STP reports via the client's organisation, we can only use one tax agent number for all clients as Xero only allows for one tax agent number to be set in Xero HQ.

    This is causing many issues, including staff and clients inadvertently updating tax agent details in the STP lodgment area on their own file, which is then updating the tax agent in HQ for all STP lodgements.

    It is also causing issues with tax agent appointments/linking, where the client has to appoint one agent number for…

  20. We currently integrate with a range of practice management software, and have a recurring request from customers using XPM to have us add notes to client records when certain actions are taken.

    Currently, adding or updating notes is not possible via the API, however documents can be managed via the API. Client notes are useful as they allow important communications with a client to be logged against that client for future reference.
