  1. Can we have the ability to search for a transaction , by amount , payee or description across all bank accounts. Rather than having to go into each bank account and sort dates etc and than search. Having the option to choose all bank accounts, rather than an individual bank account would be awesome.

    Hi team, I wanted to share that the recent updates for the Reconcile page have now been released to all users. This includes a search bar at the top of the page and includes filters for date range and amount. This provides the ability to look up criteria of your statement lines and narrow down your search. 

    You'll also find you can now view more statement lines per page, with up to 50 at a time - You'll find more on this and other updates shared on our blog. 

    We appreciate the ask on this idea is a search across all statement lines, across all bank accounts. I want to confirm this is not something we have plans for developing at this stage, and I'll move this idea back to 'submitted' so we can continue to track and update you if there is any progress of this, here. 

  2. In the timesheets window, a button which takes you back to todays timesheet.

    I often have to scroll back, and prepare prior period timesheets, and so it would be handy to have a "today" button, which will automatically return you to the current days timesheet - rather than having to scroll forward (similar to handisoft practice manager).

  4. Whilst this currently auto calculates, there is no calculation in Xero to confirm the return has the correct amount. This has to be checked manually, which can leave room for errors and requires extra work by users. It would be more efficient if the system could check this.

  5. I am not happy with the latest increase. I don’t see why I should now start paying for payroll when I don’t use it.
    The fiasco with the new invoice system is ridiculous. So many basic things are so wrong such as the layout. Just where do you get your developers from?

    We appreciate your feedback, Julia. Our new streamlined plans are designed to provide easier access to the tools to help run your business efficiently. That means more key features included, with fewer add-ons to navigate. We consider many factors when rolling out changes like this and that includes understanding the nuances of a particular market and customer needs.

    If there is something particular with other features across Xero that'd help improve your experience I'd recommend voting on the individual product ideas. Our product teams are regularly reviewing and make changes based on our community's feedback here.

  6. Bring back the ability to extract a list of payroll clients so that we can know the clients who might need assistance with EOFY payroll functions.

  7. Once the Statutory accounts are generated more customisation options would be very helpful. The ability to add or group headings in the P&L and balance sheet would be great. Currently there is no option to show pre-tax profits in the P&L or to show more detail within certain grouped headings in the balance sheet.

  8. In the list of client files, an indicator or percentage to show the portion of bank transactions allocated by bank rules to identify client files which can be optimised and more efficient by automation and bank rules.

    If client files can then be sort by the indicator to then extract a list for action.

    In xero files, for each transaction recorded by a rule could there be an indicator (ie "rule applied") to differentiate transactions manually recorded and recorded via a bank rule.

As a UK accountancy practice based in in Northern Ireland, it would be great if our Regulatory Body, Chartered Accountants Ireland was available for us to choose as an out of the box Accountants Report. This would then allow us to use this for Company Accounts and then to use the 'default report' option for Sole Traders, who require a different type of Accountants Report.

  10. I’ve noticed that when re-sending an Activity Statement from Xero Practice Manager (XPM), it doesn’t resend the original email but instead generates a new one. This can cause confusion for our clients.

    Is there a way to adjust the settings or implement a fix or at least give us the option so that the original email is re-sent rather than creating a new one?

Would be great on the Jobs panel when sorting jobs by the "State" field that they were sorted by the order of the different states (1 Planned, 2 Job received, 3 In Progress etc.), rather than alphabetically (1. In progress, 2. Job Received. 3. Ready for review) as it makes no sense having jobs listed all out of order as to their actual progress in the workflow chain.

  13. The ability to hide a Job State (eg Completed) from the quick edit selection and within editing a job, from select users would be great.
    Eliminating the possibility for a user to incorrectly move an open job to a state that should only be closed by the Admin Team.

  14. Hi There,

    We are wanting to add a new column under the family group view in XPM to show the budget against the open jobs. Making it easier to see what budget has been allocated again each job to make it easier for billing.

  15. I have recently subscribed to Sharesight for my Super Fund share portfolio as it integrates with Xero. Sharesight doesn't handle multicurrency bank accounts well but it does sync bank statements from Xero so by using multicurrency bank accounts in Xero and them syncing them to Sharesight the value is added to the portfolio valuation and the historical cost is handled correctly in Xero. Sharesight offers Xero Cashbook plans to their subscribers but I am sure there would be more subscribing if they could have multicurrency as I have seen a lot of subscribers complaining about not been able to use…

  17. Merge contacts (not clients) in XPM? I seem to have lots of duplicates but I don't want to just delete the ones with no jobs/invoices attached to them incase they are linked elsewhere. Is there a way to merge them? All the searches I have done only talk abut merging clients.

  18. Enable reporting / export for the 'Fee from Refund' field under Tax under the Tax and Company section in clients.

    The other fields in the ax and Company section are available in the Client & Contact Report Builder, however this field is overlooked. I understand that there is a 3rd party request to have this field included in the Client API.

  20. Improve the way clients can create accounts and log into an existing xero account.

    If we create an account for them, it asks them to put in their organisation details. Then we invite the client into the organisation, they have to accept the invitation.

    Clients are always having issues with their log ins, and signing documents. Feel this could be made easier for them.
