  1. Quite a few firms are using business fitness/their own custom workpapers in conjunction with Xero workpapers to meet their compliance needs. This is because some existing Xero workpapers e.g I2 - Finance Lease, S - Home Office, K - GST etc are not sufficient to meet our compliance needs. For example the home office workpaper does not contain the square metre rate method and there is no last year comparison for analytical review. No workpapers have been added to allow for new tax developments such as rental interest deductibility, rental loss limitation rules, mixed use assets to name a few.…

  2. A client user console with the ability for that user to log in and see queries on multiple entities rather than have to click on every email. eg. particularly useful when asking queries to a bookkeeper or financial planner on multiple different clients so that they can track all their queries in one location.

  3. The Beneficiary Details schedule of the return will need to be updated - In the title section there should be a 'King's Counsel' option instead of 'Queen's Counsel'.

  5. The search was recently changed so you could search by client, but now if I search for 'GST' it will bring up all jobs with GST even in the description (i.e. a bunch of annual accounts and other jobs). Can the search be limited to Job Name rather than the detailed description in the job?

  6. When uploading a set of annual accounts to Xero Sign, the only option available is to add a signature field.

    For company and trust annual accounts, we typically also include a minute and sometimes other resolutions (created from a Xero report pack). It would be great to able to insert a date field in the minute, like you can with other e-signing platforms.

    The current workaround is to use another e-signing service to send the annual accounts, and use Xero Sign for the tax returns - which adds confusion for our clients and we're often having to chase them up…

    We're enjoying the new Job Manager screen in XPM but would love it even more if there was a value column added to show the $$ amount of the time budget. For example, it's great to know there's still 30% available time but what amount is left and more importantly if the time budget is 115% what is the amount over budget.

  10. Needed: an option button in Xero Tax which switches the Accounts between FRS 102 and FRS 105.

    The majority of our Clients only require FRS105 Accounts to be submitted to Companies House but they all ask for FRS 102 Accounts to provide to their Bank or for applying for mortgages etc.

    We also want them to sign FRS102 Accounts since they have much more disclosure and if Clients simply see the FRS105 version of Accounts, they question the fee we charge them for such a small output (not realising the amount of work behind preparing them).

    Thanks for contributing to the community here guys. We will soon be releasing a new solution in Xero HQ which provides one central place to manage your VAT, personal tax, company accounts and corporation tax deadlines.  I've shifted this idea to 'working on it' for the time being and we'll let you know when it's available.

  12. Practice Manager - Client Report - Include Client Verification notes as a reportable field.

    Wanting to create a report that enables us to view the notes added to the Client Verification section. Currently it looks like you can only build reports with the Date Verified, Verified by and Verified fields. Would be good to be able to also view the notes. Particularly for non-individual clients who also need to have the relevant individuals also verified which does not always happen at the same time.

  13. When creating a new contact in Hubdoc for Xero, it would be great if there was an option to add the contact details (address, phone, email, tax ID, bank details, etc) right then. Hubdoc could read the information from the invoice and populate it on the spot rather than my having to remember who I added on the fly, go find the information again, and then manually type it all in myself.

  14. It would be handy to be able to select (and deselect) in bulk when adding fields to a custom report. Currently, you can only select one item at a time from a dropdown list. It becomes very confusing when adding multiple fields, particularly when you have to keep scrolling down to find the field that you need. Also, it is difficult to determine which fields have been added etc.
    it would be useful to have checkbox function to select and deselect the required fields.

  15. Need a better user management/access experience in HubDoc. Currently the practice user who set up the Hubdoc account needs to invite all other practice users into the client. Would it be possible to merge the Hubdoc access into the Xero HQ access or replicate the HQ access system in HubDoc.

    Hi everyone, you can now send multiple reminders at once - you can find out more about it 👉 here. This'll reduce the time spent sending reminders for document packs.

    We aren’t ruling out automated reminders in future though, so give it a go and let us know your thoughts!

  17. When preparing a cover email for documents being sent for signature, it would be great to be able to view the placeholders before sending the document, to check it reads correctly for the scenario.

  18. Just wondering if there is anything in the pipeline at all where you could potentially upload support documents, receipts, invoices etc behind the tax return item item while in the ITR. Would be a very handy function for individual tax returns.

  19. When entering in the Franking Account in a tax return, you should be able to reorder the rows if you enter a date that is not in chronological order. Or alternatively, the system should be smart enough to re-order the rows based on date.

  20. At present it is not possible to provide a quote to a group. Eg Joe Bloggs has a company, trust, partnership and smsf and his wife and kids. We want to provide a quote for the group however XPM only allows the quote to be done for the one client.
