  1. Bring back Xero HQ Activity tab. It was the only place you can see which of your clients GST Returns still needed to be filed.

    You cant even generate a report for this in myIR Intermediary.

  2. Would be great to have an option for clients to bulk sign a document pack e.g. similar to Docusign where multiple pdf's are treated as one document.

    At the moment, if there was a document pack with 15 BAS's, the client would have to click into the individual document, click the signature boxes and click to confirm signature. They then have to click into the next document and repeat the same process another 14 times.

    Would be good to have a feature/option we can select when sending out the document, so the client can sign the documents in bulk.

  3. On the first page where you can select to have comparative or only current year showing, option to tick and apply to all reports – would be handy for first year clients where they don’t have comparatives, instead of updating on every report

    Sorry Zoe, just trying to understand the page you're referring to here - When you say 'on the first page', is this within a specific report that you're running at present? 

    Are there particular reports you'd find most useful to add comparatives too? Thanks

  4. It would be so much better to be able to publish a GST return with the ability to alphabetically list the Account names so all transactions can be presented grouped by the same account code. Then the client can easily review their audit report and identify transactions in the wrong account code.

  5. It would be great to be able to move timesheet entries between tasks/jobs from within a draft invoice.

    Currently if an employee has allocated time to incorrect job or task, it appears the only way to correct this is to delete the invoice, open the job, move the timesheet entry and then create a new draft invoice.

  6. In XPM there is currently no option for Unitholders in the Relationships section. Currently need to use either Shareholders or Beneficiaries so that information flows into Group Structure charts that receive data from XPM, neither being ideal particularly when sending that chart to banks.

    Request that a Unitholder option be added to the Rekationships.

  7. tax return reminders to sign bulk send out reminders once exceeded the 3 reminders.

    Hey community, thanks for you interest in this idea. 

    Wanted to let everyone know about a change to document packs in Xero HQ 😊

    Whilst not quite what this request is after, if you're a member of a UK, NZ or AU practice, you'll now be able to send out bulk reminders for document packs in Xero HQ.

    As this request is specifically for bulk reminders in AU Xero Tax, I won't be closing it out. We'll leave it open to continue to collect feedback and gauge community interest.

  10. We require additional report codes, particularly for financials, in the Adviser reports. More codes are needed to group and map Fixed Assets, and it's necessary to further breakdown Plant and Equipment into categories such as Furniture & Fittings and Office Equipment. We spend excessive time modifying report layouts to achieve this, and automation would be more efficient. Additional user-defined fields that are compatible with our practice would also be advantageous.

  11. A common situation we have with our clients' live Xero files is that the client wants the Legal/Trading name and Display Name as their business name, but we want it as the actual entity name. E.g. we would like to see A & B Smith Family Trust as the entity name in financial statements, but the client wants all their other internal reports/invoices as their trading name, say Adam's Mechanical Services.
    We often find ourselves changing the name to what we require, publishing financials and then changing it back to keep the client happy.

  12. Have come across Xero "feature" of auto filling the account code on a bill, however the code Xero put in had nothing to do with the expense and never has been. The ability to switch this feature off so clients have to actually look for the correct code would be beneficial.

    Hey Lyn, thanks for suggesting this idea!


    Xero will use your defaults accounts for a supplier or the inventory item to assign a pre-selected account code to the bill you've created. You can read a bit more about that here.


    Just to clarify, is this the feature you're referring to? If so, it's possible to disable this by not entering in defaults for the items or contacts in question 😊

  13. I have a client family group with 4 people which lives at the same address and now they moved house, so I need to update their address in the system. Instead of updating the address for each individual, I am sure there is a way to prompt the system to detects this old address in XPM, it will then prompt me to change for all of them. I have seen this function when I was using the Solution 6 system about 15 years ago, so I am sure it is do-able.

    Just checking, the steps below are not applicable here?


    From our Change the address for all clients in a group article:


    1. Select Clients, then select the Groups tab.
    2. Click the name of the group, then click on one of the clients in the group.
    3. Click Options, then select Edit.
    4. Under Contact Details, edit the address details, then click Save.
    5. Click Update Related Clients' addresses
    6. (Optional) Click All Related Clients to filter related clients by relationships or group members. The filter only shows if the client has at least one relationship set up and is also a member of at least one group.
    7. Select the checkbox for each address you want to change, then click Update.

  14. It would be great to have the option for a recurring job to open upon the previous recurring job closing. The current options for when recurring jobs open are very limited.

  17. It'd be great if we could have a "Mark as Complete" option for Document Packs. We've got a bunch of Doc Packs that will forever sit in 'sent' because of various reasons and it would be great to clean them up.
    Examples of these situations - when a doc pack is sent to multiple people, and maybe one of them dropped into the office to sign the financials in person - we've now got a partly signed document in a Doc Pack, and a physical signature as well.   18. I have moved to Xero Tax from Reckon Elite, but just realised that Xero Tax does not have a Notification of formation of consolidated group schedule.

    As a tax agent, it is crucial to have this schedule to update client's consolidation status, including updating joining/leaving subsidiaries.

    It would be great if this can be added as quickly as possible.

  19. Do not understand why if a client files their own income tax return with Inland Revenue and an assessment is issued why this is not updated in XPM, issues arise that we have no knowledge of assessment so affects Provisional and Income tax notices
