  1. We need a report that is cash basis and can have number of items sold during a time period. This report also needs revenue totals and allow a tracking category. Essentially this is to produce a report to determine Royalties that are due on some products that are sold.

  2. When I go into Customers and drill down, I like to be able to see the layout that invoices and bills are shown separately and I can select which one I want to view. This will no longer be the case with the new report formats. Is there any conversation that this could be requested? Thank you

  3. A placeholder for the applicable tax return year that can be inserted into the NOA email template would make it easy for clients to know which year the email relates to.

  4. If you currently want to edit a line on the to do list you have to create a new line and enter the data, than delete the previous item.
    It would be great if we could have an edit function on the to do list so we did have to add the extra step of recreation

  7. Separate the INCOME TAX EXPENSE from the normal operating expenses in the Profit & Loss Statement. for example:
    - Net Profit Before Tax
    - INCOME TAX EXPENSE
    - Net Profit After Tax

  8. It would be handy to be able to select (and deselect) in bulk when adding fields to a custom report. Currently, you can only select one item at a time from a dropdown list. It becomes very confusing when adding multiple fields, particularly when you have to keep scrolling down to find the field that you need. Also, it is difficult to determine which fields have been added etc.
    it would be useful to have checkbox function to select and deselect the required fields.

  9. Client Relationships Report
    Currently, the custom report allows the user to add the Related Client's Name only. Would be good to be able to include a unique identifier as well for the related client, such as the Export Code for that related client.

    Hey Peter, having read over your idea a few times, I'm not 100% sure I understand exactly what you're asking for. Would it be the same as either of these two ideas? 

    If not, would you mind providing a few more details so myself and other users can better understand and upvote it? It'll also mean I can make sure it gets in front of the right product people at Xero 😊


  12. It would be good to filter deleted clients like we can for archived clients on XPM custom reports. At the moment they display on the Income Tax report that compares clients with the ATO list and there is no way to filter them out. It makes finding clients who have dropped off the ATO list difficult.

  13. Currently, Xero only lets us archive the returns that are already filed (or are in the filed status).

    There are scenarios, when the clients come in to do the tax return- we need more information and client does not respond. We do have an option of suspending the returns- however, these returns will still be left in draft making the draft tax returns list unnecessarily longer.

  15. Xero Tax currently allows adding notes only on the cover page (character limit of 140) and on D1 (motor vehicle expense).

    It would be great if we could add explanatory notes (and simple calculations) on each of the line items if need be. I moved from Sage Handisoft to Xero and can't comprehend why such a useful and simple feature is not there in Xero. It would reduce the burden of creating additional workpapers for simple returns and will be handy even for the complex ones.

  19. Currently you can click the Inv Ref field in a results list from a search in Find & Recode and it will add a little ^ symbol to indicating it is sorting by that column.

    It's not.

    It's sorting by the date column.

    Same if you click it again and get a \/ symbol.

    Xero said that it's working as designed 🥴

    Fix this madness and either remove the ability to click the column and the suggestion it's sorting (the ^ symbol) or make it work (sort by that column).

  20. Re the home office workpaper. It seems to calculate soley on a percentage basis yet under DB 18AA, we can claim interest/rent and rates in proportion of business use, as well as $47.85 (for 2022 and future years) per square metre (PSMR) (IRD square meterage rates) as a proxy for general home expenditure. There doesn't seem to be a workaround in the workpaper to opt for the PSMR for the general expenditure claim? I would like to claim the higher of the two calculations for my clients' thanks and would love to see the workpaper work out the better of…
