  1. I love the Xero filing cabinet as I can put files in there for the accountant and owner to view. However I have been using this cabinet for over 7 years and would like the ability to archive / consolidate by year.

  3. Create a Bank Reconciliaiton Report only which would be the current Reconciliation report without trial balance, AP, AR, Fixed assets, general ledger exemptions and journal entries.
    I know you could custom create the report but xero generated would be more professional and would also includes any additional bank accounts .

  4. We are using the 'Client Queries' function for the first time this year.

    In Workpapers, each time a request for information is sent to a client, the 'Queries History' logs that an email was sent to the client, however there is no record of the content of the email sent for the client.

    We usually would save all emails to clients on file so that anything can be clarified if needed, but have noticed there is no ability to view the email content.

  7. It would be great if XPM tax would remove these payment notices for clients where we are no longer filing tax returns for them. Currently they are created as nil payment notices and clutter up an already very busy tax payment system.

  8. When calculating Leasehold Improvements as a Fixed Asset, the term is often not whole months even when using days it still does not calculate correctly for example we need to use 2.67 years to reconcile to our workbook.

  9. A way to post partially dormant accounts when moving from trading to dormant within a tax year. Currently in Xero Tax, you'd have to choose between the options 'Active throughout part of the period for corporation tax purposes' where you can only choose when the company started trading. The other option you could select is 'Dormant throughout the period for corporation tax purposes' and then choose the option 'Company has traded in previous period, tax return is required'.

  10. Have all the fields in the VAT 201 SARS Report
    Surely the VAT 201 report in Xero should directly have all the options that are on the SARS Form.
    i.e Box 25 for Diesel Rebates

  12. Nothing is more frustrating than going back and forward on messages from Xero support. Sometimes these messages can go on for days and even trying to log a call is difficult when they try and give you a 4 hour window. This is totally out of touch with how accountants operate as we are often in meetings for most days and our time is scheduled days ahead.

    Why not offer a paid subscription of say $500 per year for a direct telephone support number where a specialist can solve the issues more instantly (under 1 hour). Our time as accountant…

  13. I have a lot different invoice currency which the customer should paying into respective bank account according to invoice currency. However, the invoice template now is having single standard terms which i have to list down all bank accounts in the invoice. There is also limit for creating custom invoice template but it is also not an good idea to create different template just to follow the bank account currency.

    Hope that Xero can create the filter for user to select the terms that match the criteria. Thank you.

  14. It would be wonderful if in Bank rules we could also include the fee that will be taken out.
    Eg a deposit of $100 from Fresha attracts a $2 fee. The bank feed shows $98 . Is there a way to be able to bank rule this

  15. Currently when you use the Switch rule the order that the accounts are displayed when they are transferred by the rule is not the same as the order that they show in the existing group. This can be frustrating when you have say a Provision for tax group of accounts which could be a refund or tax to pay and you have accounts displaying as Opening balance then tax provision and RWT etc as you want the Opening Balance account to always display first.

  16. When we receive a bill from a supplier that also uses Xero we have the option to put it in as a draft bill directly into our Xero. It's very useful feature. But as a partner with nearly 200 clients when we click through it asks us to log in and select which client the bill is for. We used to be able to type the company name (usually our own) but that option has been removed and now I have to scroll down the list of clients until I find the right one.   17. This is not a simple feature request. This is a blatant fault with how Xero Tax handles asset figures.

    In this particular case we have two accounts in the book-keeping records for CIS tax, because we wish to track CIS deducted by contracted on sales and CIS deducted from subcontractors separately. Transfers are made between the accounts as appropriate when liabilities are reported for payment to HMRC.

    At the year end, we want to show this as a single balance. As the net result was an asset at the year end, we tagged both to an appropriate asset type. Instead…

  19. After the recent XPM change where a user can allocate staff to multiple jobs from the Jobs menu, the staff at the Task level are added but the checkbox is not ticked. This means that the staff member can see the job in their timesheet, but not the tasks associated with that job, so cannot book time.
