  1. For tax returns prepared after a provisional tax date has passed and the client has a refund from the prior year, we need to be able to transfer the refund at the effective date within the tax return. If IRD do not action this then a mismatch needs to trigger an alert.

Have the ability to run a report to include in the Financial Statements that is a Group Summary, so includes all selected entities within a group and details all amounts payable or refunds due for all upcoming provisional and terminal tax dates (regardless of balance date) and a Net Tax position

  3. If a client fails to pay the first installment of provisional tax why is it then added to the next installment and then P1 shows as nothing due. This is incorrect, the amount due at P1 is still the same (per the IRD), the debt at P1 has not moved to P2. What happens for client's who have RIT over $60k?

  5. In Tax Statements, under Transfers tab: the "auto mark as complete" needs to happen by both amount and date. So need the ability to set the effective date for the transfer to occur, therefore if IRD does something different we are alerted.

    Currently if transfer is the same $ value or more, then Xero automatically marks as complete, this should not occur. If the $ is more then the transfer has not gone as expected and we need to be alerted to this.

  6. For notes made in Tax Payments: these need to be split into 2 areas, (1) notes pertaining to that provisional installment and, (2) notes that will continue to roll forward.

    It is crucial that even if the installment date has passed, the notes are still visible. Also from the main Tax Payments screen we need an indicator on the client row to show that the client has an active note (with the ability to archive a note as well).

  7. Naturally, when emailing in invoices and receipts, we end up with extraneous items in the Docs Pane on the left hand side. To delete these, we currently only have a small 'delete' button in the far top right corner, followed by a confirmation message in the centre of the screen.

    It'd be great if the UI was updated to have either:
    - a delete button closer to the Docs Pane on the left hand side
    - some right click functionality, to allow us to delete documents
    - some keyboard shortcuts to allow us to process these items much quicker

  8. It would be great is the 'report notes' were in alignment on the PDF like they are in Xero.
    Or if they showed up at all.
    We spend ages on analysis of the reports (answering questions before they are asked) and then the notes at the bottom of the page don't math up to anything.

  9. I’d like to suggest adding an automated feature for populating dates in the Company Minutes, using the reporting date as a reference. This would eliminate the need to manually update dates throughout the document, saving time and reducing errors.

  10. Where the individual client title has been changed to "Executor for" or "Representative for" the declarations should also be updated with this information. Currently the declarations still just use the individual name, who may be deceased or unable to sign on their own behalf.

  13. Hi Xero Team,

    It would be highly beneficial if Xero allowed users to record Capital Works Deductions directly in the Rental Schedule for Income Tax Returns (ITR). Currently, this critical aspect of rental property deductions has to be entered manually, which defeats the purpose of using accounting software to streamline and automate tax compliance.

    Including this feature would:

    • Improve accuracy and efficiency.
    • Reduce manual effort and the risk of errors.
    • Make Xero a more comprehensive tool for rental property management and tax preparation.

  14. There is an inability to prepare and lodge income tax returns for the forward 2025 year for companies and trusts including deceased estates.
    In regard to companies deregistering in the 2024/2025 tax year or wanting to deregister in that year, the company cannot do a 2024/25 tax return after deregistration as the ATO will not accept a lodgment after the date of deregistration as it is considered by the ATO to no longer exist. Companies cannot do a 2024/25 tax return before deregistration as Xero do not have this function available.

  16. When each job is created, we manually have to add the contact to the job. If this is not done, the invoice that is pushed to Xero Blue doesn't have contact information and we are unable to utilise the automatic reminders etc. This requires manual monitoring and negates the efficiencies within Xero Blue.

    This manual process would be solved if we had the ability to set the Primary Contact as the default contact on jobs that are created. This could for example, be set up as a tick box in settings. This could give people the option to switch on…

  18. Would like the ability to see Write-ons / Write-offs on the Invoices dashboard for Draft invoices to allow easier review of drafts.

    Alternatively some form of reporting that takes draft invoices into account vs billable time to see 'draft write-ons/offs'.

  20. Improve multi currency capability of XPM.

    Currently, XPM only caters for invoicing out in the base currency and so invoices are done out of Xero. When it compes to KPI reports out of XPM, the info is all wrong. Invoice amounts pull through in invoice currency and not base currency, where as time is calculated in the base currency, these are incorrectly picked up as over and unders.
