  2. Report templates do not support advanced layout structure and require marginal adjustments often.
    Currently, export in docx format (or other MS Word compatible formats) is not supported and the Xero Team recommends to convert .xlsx into .docx which is not ideal and takes a long time.

    I suggest offering the possibility to export Xero reports that have been filled out (based on Reports templates) to .docx or MS word compatible formats.

  3. General Ledger Detail - Opening Balances - The Option in More..allows you to tick the box to include Opening and Closing Balances, but when the report runs it does not show the opening balances. Please fix this up.

  5. Customize the invoice template according to the need of the organization. On the template over the setting it should give the possibility for adding extra rubrics or fields that it will appear in the invoice as a separate section and just not adding in the "Description" field. Especially when we have to use two currencies and the exchange rate. And also when print the invoice out it doesn't as on the print preview.

    Just trying to get a better understanding of your idea here, when you say you want to add extra fields and rubics could you share a little more of what you'd want to add in?

    Atm, with an advanced invoice template you can customise the template using the DocX template where you'll find there are extra fields that you can choose to include. If you want a permanent message that will show on all invoices you could add this as static text.

    It sounds like advanced invoice templates could possible meet your needs here.

  6. It would be very helpful to have a function available to search for a client under their business name. We have a lot of clients who are sole traders that have a registered business name and it would be good to see all this in XPM and be able to search for the business name to enter the client profile.

  7. Please can you include the workings (which are long and complicated) for top slicing relief on an insurance bond gain in the "schedule of data" report which I find to be very basic compared to what my previous tax software provider included. Otherwise it is fiddly and time consuming to check this manually.

  8. Essential for cash flow and projections, an annual report divided by month that includes source and base currencies.

    The "Account Transactions" report currently enables us to overview all accounts (Balance Sheet and P&L) in both currencies (source and base) but lacks a feature to display 12 months alongside each other.

  12. I had a validation error CMN.ATO.DISTBENTRT.000013 generated in an SMSF tax return.
    When I clicked on the validation error it took me to a specific trust income schedule (number 10 of 18), which had several fields highlighted. The error says that there must be a number in any of the fields A B D U and so on - this schedule met this condition.
    After much wasted time trying to re-enter fields, checking there were no blank spaces, deleting and re-entering all fields, deleting and re-entering the whole schedule, I contacted support.
    It turns out the error was actually generated…

  13. Hubdoc User roles - it would be incredibly helpful if upload only users were able to view (not edit or add) tags from a common list. We have 17 staff who have company visa's I'm wanting to use Hubdoc for them to be able to upload their visa receipts & invoices instead of having them manually sent to me the following month for coding and entering.

    I've set up the tags with the descriptions of the GL codes, however I've found that they are unable to view or use these tags without setting them up themselves. Having a communal list…

When inputting R&D figures for a period of account longer than 12 months (i.e. where 2x corporation tax returns are needed), we are unable to put specific R&D expenditures in a specific corporation tax periods. This is an issue with overseas workers where the periods are pre and post 1 April 2024, and where expenditure is only eligible in one of the periods. As currently, the expenditure is pro-rated, this means that non-qualifying expenditure is being brought into one of the periods.

  15. Ability to export an invoice created in Xero business edition to a document pack.

    For example, if I prepare a BAS or tax return for a client and send it to them in a document pack along with my invoice, I have to export the invoice from Xero and save it, and then add it to the document pack.

    It would be beneficial if there was an option in the invoice screen to add the invoice to a document pack, similar to adding a completed tax return from Xero Tax to a document pack.

    I was told that when you create a job for client A, you can only create CURNN for client A.

    We are unable to make CURNN for client A's association - such as their spouse, their business (company, trust, partnership, etc) or any client in client A's group.

    To do a CURNN for client A's spouse, i would have to create a job for the spouse then create the CURNN.

  17. When emailing receipts to Hubdoc, anything written in the email title or body should stay with the receipt. Currently, Hubdoc turns one email into 2 uploads. One upload is the email. One upload is the receipt. It is nearly impossible to know which email matches which receipt. The result is that important documentation is lost. For example, my clients often email a receipt to Hubdoc for meals and they write who was present at the meal and the business purpose into the email's title or body. Those details are required by the IRS but the current Hubdoc system does not…

Not sure if it exists or not, but it would be great to be able to log into a client's tax return tab and see the payable / refund results next to the year of the return instead of having to log into them one by one. I've created a very rough view of what I mean with the additional column on the right (client's name has been changed for security reasons)

  20. Place of birth, like Director ID, is a field that is important for any individual clients who are company officeholders. Rather than having to keep this record in an external software, ideally we would have all the information about a client in one place, and as such, would appreciate a "PLACE OF BIRTH" field somewhere in the client record to facilitate this.
