It would be beneficial for a warning to show to complete label 13U tax losses to be carried forward and/or when a losses schedule is required in a Trust or Company tax return when there has been a tax loss for the current year. This would reduce the risk that this label is inadvertently omitted.

  2. It would be great to have a feature that allows users to group clients within their HQ (or the main dashboard) in a way that only selected users with specific permissions can access certain client groups. This would provide more granular control over who can see and manage specific clients, making it easier to manage access for teams working on different client accounts.

    This would be especially helpful for firms with multiple teams handling different types of clients (e.g., accounting, payroll, etc.), ensuring that only relevant team members can view and work on certain client groups.

  4. Automated reminder for Xero Sign Bundle expiration
    I have just been caught out again with expiry of unused transactions in my signing pack of 150. Instead of being cut off at expiry date or having to remember to go and look it up could there just be an automated reminder. Also, for us small sole traders it would be great to have smaller bundles than 150, even 50 at a time. Even better, why not let us use all of our transactions we have paid for. Still need an automated message that they have expired.

    Hi Angela,thanks for letting us know an automated reminder for your Xero Sign bundles would be a huge help, and we really appreciate you bringing this idea to our attention. For now, the best way to stay on top of your usage is to manually check your remaining transactions and the expiry date in Xero HQ > Xero Sign. A good workaround is to set up your own calendar reminder 🗓️ to check in on your bundle regularly. This will help you avoid any last-minute surprises. Right now, an automated notification for expiring Xero Sign bundles isn't on our immediate roadmap. However, your feedback is incredibly valuable and helps us understand which features are most important to you. We'll be sure to keep you in the loop on any changes to the status of this idea. 🔄


  5. The ATO allows businesses to claim the GST on cents per kilometre based on the business Kilometres travelled. The Milage claim in Xero currently does not have any tax category which means milage claims aren't showing on the GST reports and have to manually added to the BAS otherwise businesses are missing out on GST if not added manually.

    For example, If staff travel 100kms for business, then the claim should reflect the following
    100 kms x rate of 88cents (FY2026) totalling to $88. the $88 is inclusive of GST of $8.

    Hi Camilla👋, we understand the importance of being able to track and claim GST on business mileage and appreciate you letting us know this functionality isn't available within Xero. We know that not having this feature causes extra work to manually calculate the GST on mileage claims. While we don't have this feature at the moment, we’d like to acknowledge the workarounds of manually calculating the GST component of the mileage claim and entering this as a separate line item when processing the expense claim. We understand this isn't ideal and adds extra work, but it may help for now. We're still actively monitoring this idea to see how much support it gets from our customers 👀.   6. Document Pack - Allow time delay.
    For example I want to finish the work now but dont want it sent to the client for another 2 days so can set a time to be sent out.

    We can see how having more control over when document packs are sent would be useful in managing your client communications more effectively. While this idea is still new, it’s been reviewed by our community team and is now marked as Gaining Support.

  7. Within XPM there are fields for individuals in the Tax section of Client with UTR and National Insurance number. It is not possible to import and upload to them, this would be useful as they then link to Xero Tax when filing a tax return. Currently we have them stored in a custom field as these weren't available originally. It would be good to be able to import all of our custom fields to the system's UTR and NINO fields.

It’s clear that the ability to import Unique Taxpayer References (UTR) and National Insurance Numbers (NINO) is important to you, and we hear the pain points about the extra manual work involved in not having this feature. A possible workaround is using a custom field for now, which can help keep this data within Xero Practice Manager. ⭐I wanted to provide an update on this. At Xerocon, we announced new developments for Xero Practice Manager and Xero HQ that are designed to improve efficiency and help you manage clients more effectively.   8. Automatic BADR lifetime allowance £1m application.

    At present for a gain of over £1m you need to enter two transactions, one with a £1m gain to apply BADR, and the remainder to be charged at 20% (24/25).

    It would be much better if the system knew the lifetime allowance and applied it only up to the limit.

    At present if you put the whole transaction to BADR it will apply 10% to more than £1m which is incorrect.

  9. When making distributions to beneficiaries, we are able to distribute more than the income type recorded i.e. if there is $1,000 of interest income you can distribute $10,000 of interest income to a beneficiary if there are other types of income and it doesn't put the total at keypoint 21B in the return to a negative figure. It would be helpful if the over distribution of interest was picked up by the audit check.

    Hi everyone 👋 thanks for your continued feedback and for sharing your thoughts on this idea. While this idea is not currently on our development roadmap, we are always reviewing feedback to help us shape our product priorities. As a workaround for now, you can use the existing data roll-over function for client shareholders and then manually adjust the details for non-client shareholders. We'll be in touch with another update if there is any change to the status of this idea.

  13. Hi there, could Xero please add a VAT reconciliation report to the reports section where we can reconcile each VAT period's VAT payable/receivable to the VAT control account. This would make the VAT reviews and VAT reconciliations at year end so much easier and faster.

  14. Xero's feature of importing invoices into XPM is great for clients. But there is no way currently to stop importing them for people who aren't clients. Currently - we sell digital products, which we need to keep invoices for. Every time a digital product is sold, it creates a new client in XPM. They aren't clients.There should be the option to only import if a client exists in XPM.

    Appreciate you raising the idea in the forums here. We'll continue to get a sense of the interest in being able to pull these Franking fields with the report builder.

  16. Be able to expand or reduce the size of a column in the depreciation schedule.
    We are finding when we add extra columns it is making the depreciation method column really large and you cant adjust it. Making the page stretched across longer that it needs to be.

    After some testing, we discovered that downloading the file in Excel or Google Sheets format and then saving it as a PDF reduces the column size. While this may not be ideal, it can serve as a temporary workaround.

  19. I think to reduce the risk of associated companies not being included in the CT600 in error box 326 should be left blank by Xero but compulsory so that that the return can not be generated without it.

    The same warning you get if trying to complete without boxes 975.

    Hi team, this report has been split out from a previous one that requested the addition of both payroll and tracking summary reports to Report Templates. It's unlikely both these reports would be added at once, and it's good to track the interest in each.

    While we have just released a new Tracking Summary report in Xero this isn't something that's been added to Report Templates just yet, if there are any plans for this we'll let you know here. Thanks
