  1. No option to select 'File MTD VAT Return' in bulk for clients when setting up a new staff member in Xero HQ. After assigning the clients in bulk for a new staff member you have to then go into each client individually to give this permission.

  2. Currently we are only able delete Client Groups in XPM. That means there are 'inactive' groups when the clients move on making it harder to see how many Groups you are actually working with.

    It would be great to be able to Archive instead. This would keep the Group Count 'clean' and you can still report on Groups

  3. Currently when a staff member leaves we can remove their access on the clients we subscribe to Xero but can't remove access where the client subscribes directly and has invited them in.

    For security purposes, it would be good if the practice admin could easily run a report on the leaver showing all the clients they have access to. You can do this on screen however we want the client managers to get in touch with their relevant clients as they have the relationship.

    Hi everyone, coming back across the idea here we wanted to clarify existing behaviour.

    When you remove a staff member from HQ this automatically removes all org access, as long as those orgs are linked to client records, and as long as the client records are active (not archived) - Meaning you don't need to manually remove access to each org one by one.

    The few cases where you would need to manually remove one by one would be if a client is archived or an org is not linked to a client record at the time of staff removal.

    We intend to improve this experience and provide better visibility of staff access in the longer term, so when there is more progress on this I'll return to update you here.

  5. The option to have a draft automatically created when a recurring job is generated. Such as for GST and AIM.

  6. I use 'client groups' extensively in HQ. I need to see which clients are not in a group at all, and which ones are in more than one group, but this is not possible. Please allow us to report on which groups each client is in.

    Hi community, just jumping in here to share that we have recently made an improvement to the groups feature in Xero HQ 🎉
    Within a Client record, you can now see what groups they belong to, and add or remove them - check out this article for more information. Please note, this is not available as a report, but is available on a client by client basis.

    While the team have been really busy working on the single client record, they also hope to introduce a Groups list and group details (similar to what is currently available in XPM) to increase the ability to manage Groups within HQ. We’ll be sure to return & update you here when that’s available.

  7. It is not currently possible to pull a report of all clients that have Franked distributions (field U) and Franking credit (field D) on their tax returns. As the ATO has released a new area of focus on franking credit trading rules known as the '45 day holding period rule' we would like an easy way to track and highlight companies that could

    Appreciate you raising the idea in the forums here. We'll continue to get a sense of the interest in being able to pull these Franking fields with the report builder.

    If there are any plans made for enabling this we'll be sure to share with you all here.

  8. On the old Xero HQ staff page, you could click on the staff member, add clients, and then filter to client groups.

    With the new Xero HQ Staff page layout, this ability has been lost and it's vital for adding clients in bulk to particular office groups, particularly for our new starters.

  9. As 'Blue Xero' supports a 'Not for Profit' organisation, it disappointing that an accompanying
    CT600 cannot be produced in Xero Tax for a charity.

  11. When using Xero Workpapers, it imports the figures across from the Xero client file without decimals. Therefore, when I'm comparing these figures in Workpapers to client reports and bank statements these are often slightly out.

    Can you please update Workpapers so that there is an option to show decimal places?

  12. It would be good to be able to completely delete bank statement lines, so that they are no longer visible as deleted transactions, where, for example they have been imported into the wrong bank account, or client account.

  15. You have 4 other online cloud document management systems listed via XPM. We use SharePoint and would request this to be added as a further option to link our programs for efficiency and easy of use.

    We would then like tasks to be setup in jobs, that we can "link" documents in Sharepoint, to tasks/jobs in XPM.

  16. Xero gave us a tax estimate for deceased estates (but only within the first three years...), and on my very first trial of this new feature ran into a roadblock - I cannot find anywhere to input the PAYG Instalments paid by the deceased estate, therefore the estimate is inaccurate.

  17. It would be helpful to merge clients in XPM where two accounts have been created (different names) and tax returns filed under each one. For example a client entered under their maiden name and married name who have filed tax returns. In our case a duplicate was accidently created when doing the return and we have no way to now shift the tax return to the correct and active client account in XPM.

  18. A 'Date Added' field would be great, to show when a client was entered into an XPM account.

    It would also be good to add this as a client report criteria, so you can filter dates.

  19. Ability to put in manual tax estimate adjustments, such as prior liabilities on tax accounts so clients can see total owed. It can show estimate for return, then show the adjustments.
    Also ability to adjust for amended returns to show the actual amount refunded or owing after amendment calculations.

    Hi everyone, we appreciate everyone who signed up and participated in the teams discovery here. Right now, focus has needed to shift to other high priority work.

    We value all the input and feedback we've received from the teams discovery, and based on this they found that there is more work needed in solving this for our customers.

    We have good foundations to build from when we are able to bring attention back to this. For now we will move back to submitted and let you know when there is progression to share.
