  1. Add a custom column similar to a custom row into reports.

    This would be used to include quantities for livestock reports, for automating % of trust distributions payable to beneficiaries prior end of June.

    This currently can't be done in reports.

  2. One should be able to create tax returns for Companies that switched their Financials years to calendar year, to avoid late lodgements. For Example, for the companies whose financial year is 1 Jan,2022 to 31 Dec,2022, need to wait till Jun 2023 to file their tax returns

  3. It would be great if there was an option to change staff permissions in bulk. So if there was a practice employee for example who now needed Payroll Admin access for 20 clients, it could be done in a few clicks as opposed to changing it for each of those 20 clients.

  7. The option to have a draft automatically created when a recurring job is generated. Such as for GST and AIM.
    It would be very helpful by saving time and assist us in making sure they are all filed.

  8. Would love to be able to re-arrange line items in Tax Returns as we have everything listed in alphabetical order. In HandiSoft, we could click and drag lines.

    Example situation:

    Shares in 2020
    BOQ
    CBA
    WBC

    Shares in 2021
    ANZ
    BOQ
    CBA
    WBC

    To add in ANZ, we need to delete BOQ, CBA and WBC, add in ANZ and then re-add BOQ, CBA and WBC. Very time consuming if there are multiple lines to add.

  9. The 'export invoice to Xero' manual option should be available to staff that have approve invoice permissions. When we have a 'Xero export failed' message and staff correct the error, they need to be able to push this across manually to Xero blue without requesting it from an administrator.

  10. Currently we are only able delete Client Groups in XPM. That means there are 'inactive' groups when the clients move on making it harder to see how many Groups you are actually working with.

    It would be great to be able to Archive instead. This would keep the Group Count 'clean' and you can still report on Groups

  11. Currently when a staff member leaves we can remove their access on the clients we subscribe to Xero but can't remove access where the client subscribes directly and has invited them in.

    For security purposes, it would be good if the practice admin could easily run a report on the leaver showing all the clients they have access to. You can do this on screen however we want the client managers to get in touch with their relevant clients as they have the relationship.

    Hi everyone, coming back across the idea here we wanted to clarify existing behaviour.

    When you remove a staff member from HQ this automatically removes all org access, as long as those orgs are linked to client records, and as long as the client records are active (not archived) - Meaning you don't need to manually remove access to each org one by one.

    The few cases where you would need to manually remove one by one would be if a client is archived or an org is not linked to a client record at the time of staff removal.

    We intend to improve this experience and provide better visibility of staff access in the longer term, so when there is more progress on this I'll return to update you here.

  13. Would be great if we could update fields in one go for multiple entities across a group (similar to how the address field allows you to). For example, the Partner, Manager, Class, etc is generally the same across the group (how we use it), so it would be good if we could update these sections for everyone in the group in one go (even if we need to access one of the entity profiles, and from there it asks if we want to update the other entities as well).

  14. I use 'client groups' extensively in HQ. I need to see which clients are not in a group at all, and which ones are in more than one group, but this is not possible. Please allow us to report on which groups each client is in.

    Hi community, just jumping in here to share that we have recently made an improvement to the groups feature in Xero HQ 🎉
    Within a Client record, you can now see what groups they belong to, and add or remove them - check out this article for more information. Please note, this is not available as a report, but is available on a client by client basis.

    While the team have been really busy working on the single client record, they also hope to introduce a Groups list and group details (similar to what is currently available in XPM) to increase the ability to manage Groups within HQ. We’ll be sure to return & update you here when that’s available.

Hopefully there will be an editable field / automatic tick box in the Cover Letter for the Tax Returns where the Trustee for the Trust is a Company (Corporate Trustee) where we can put the name/s of the client in the Salutation and not the Corporate Trustee. Our tax returns would show "Dear Company Name" which sounds / looks wrong instead of "Dear Individual Name"

  19. Following on from advice from IRD. Is this something that is easy enough to create?

    See email from IRD.....

    We are getting a number of customers to our Front of house (reception) who require a printed barcode to make their payment at Westpac. As you might expect, many of these customers are elderly and it has been some effort for them to go to Westpac only to find they need a barcode to pay so they come to see us… before heading back to Westpac with their printed barcode.

    Most have, in the hot little old hands, a lovely letter…

    Appreciate the meaning behind this idea to you all. 

    This is something we'd like to continue to track on the site here, however to upfront in order to generate the barcode there's work that'd need to be done on IRD's end to enable this. 

    We've reached out to engage them on this, but there is no immediate plans from our end, at this time. 

  20. It would be great if they system would not allow disbursements/ costs to be added to closed jobs.
    This can cause a lot of admin work when Xero fees are bulk imported to our clients accounts job but is then closed once the accounts have been completed. We have too ensure the job number is updated on the import each time we close a job as the system will allow bulk uploads. It would be great if an error code showed and did not allow this to occur.
