  1. In the last financial year, we made multiple and significant layout changes to the accounting schedules in our financial notes.
    Therefore, we intend to 'Copy and Edit' most of our financial reports. However, we have found that when you 'edit layout' it removes the date field codes in our numbered notes regardless of if you edit the number notes or not - therefore losing it's auto updating feature.
    As a result, we are now having to manually update the year in all of our financials, or start from scratch.
    Please make it so edit layout does not remove date fields…

    Hi everyone, we appreciate the engagement from you all in this idea.

    Right now, we do not have plans for adding asset worksheets for Foreign Rental Capital allowance, or Capital works in the Income Tax return.

    We will continue to keep a close eye on the interest for these through this idea, and share if there are any updates.

  3. Would be good to have an "Allocate" command button so income, deductions, tax credits are split automatically as per the percentage for each individual in a trust, partnership and LTC company. It is time consuming when there are multiple individuals and varying percentage splits.

  4. When Settlor relationship exists for a client, this needs to flow through automatically to the IR6 in the same way that Beneficiary relationships do.

Xero tax software needs to be amended so that a provisional tax payment requested based on the previous year plus 10% shows up as the first installment of provisional tax due in the xero tax return even though the client hasn't made the payment but is required to have paid by the 1st provisional tax date. At present shows as 0.00 which is incorrect based on the inland revenue rules. So at present have to copy the tax return to a pdf export to word and then manually amended the tax return to show the correct tax payment that was…

  6. Could you make the app more user-friendly by reducing the need to log in every time or Ideally, Face ID should be an option for quick access.

    Also, when we receive invoices from Xero, could they be sent as PDF attachments rather than just links? This would make it easier to forward them to Hubdocs via email. Thanks!

  7. Make a schedule for allocating partner income and tax credits allocations with a total giving the ability to allocate income on the one page. Currently you have to go into each partner schedule. There is not always an even split of income and with many partner entities it is very time consuming.

  8. Once the file is uploaded to Hubdoc, it effectively becomes a JPEG once at the review screen, this means you can not copy paste or grab contents from within the document and you will have to either open up the PDF on a separate screen or edit it within Xero.

    It would be great if the description could also be extracted - OR allow the document to be copied/stay a PDF to be able to copy. This will reduce human errors when entering data. Thank you.

  9. Revise Activity Statement / IAS via Xero when a client has lodged their own IAS/BAS. It would be beneficial for tracking purposes if Xero offered the facility to unlock a submitted BAS/IAS to review & amend and relodge with the ATO. Whilst these can be revised via ATO Portal there is no tracking or record of an amendment in Xero

  10. When I use Xero tax it pre-populates the tax agent number overriding the previous entry in the previous year. We want this to be the client phone number due to we want the ATO to contact them.

    Every tax return it is taking manual labour to change the phone number from the pre-populated phone number.

    We'd like the option to pre-populate the client phone number like other client information.

    We'd prefer to not have to delete any details to replace the phone number and this was resulting in tax return error.

    Hi everyone, as noted in the comments here with Single Client record and client lists now being the same across XPM and Xero HQ you could export your client list from Xero HQ and you'll in the export file there is a column for Organisation name.

    Appreciate this isn't directly within Xero atm, so we'll leave the idea open. We don't have any direct plans for developing this view in Xero right now, but we'll continue to track the appetite here and share if there's any change planned.

  13. it would be great if the tax offset from superannuation income stream could be automatically calculated like how the MYOB AE Tax does. Instead of manually enter the number in the box.

  15. XPM has been updated recently (April 2025) and the update has removed the re-ordering of tasks function. We used the re-ordering function to put all tasks in chronological order e.g. monthly payroll tasks, VAT returns, year end accounts were all arranged in date order. Since the update all the re-ordering that we have completed on jobs have been changed and now all tasks are non-chronological and in a jumbled order. This is very frustrating. Please could Xero re-instate the ability to re-order tasks as required? These changes are a backwards step.

  16. The fact that it's so hard to get a rental property schedule to share from one return to the selected second client is very very very very annoying. If there were a button we could press to manually ask it to share across that would save endless saving, closing, opening, closing the whole program, turning off your computer and leaving my desk in frustration.

  17. Ability to add multiple email addresses for tax payment letters.
    This would be great if looked into very soon.
    We have been manually entering additional email addresses which is a bit of a worry if a character is misspelt.
    When copy and paste is used the changes get made to all clients and is a real disaster.

  19. In the bank account tab it would be good to have a tick box where you can select the accounts you want in your report. I have some client with 6 or more different bank accounts. If I only have two with un-coded transactions, being able to tick those two and then run the report would be practical and easier for my clients to follow.

  20. It would be great if we could have the ability to apply multiple relationships to a single entity at once, perhaps as a multiple checkboxes. So for example, when setting up a company, we might have one person who is the Director, Secretary, Public Officer and Shareholder but at the moment we need to add these in one at a time.
