  1. The text that says '1 of 3 overdue' is so misleading. I took it to mean there were 3 overdue invoices as the the whole line is red. I kept looking for the three overdue invoices, but there weren't three, there was only one. Maybe I'm just dumb, but there's got to be a better way of saying that.

  2. For bank accounts, add the date that the account was last refreshed in Xero. Currently, it only shows the date of the last transaction, but I can't tell if my last feed failed or if there just weren't any new transactions. Seeing the last successful refresh would tell me if I need to refresh again.
    (One of my accounts requires MFA every time, so Xero always shows a manual "Refresh" button, and so that doesn't tell me whether or not the feed succeeded.)

  3. Provide an option to eliminate animations. The growing bars is a distraction, I find myself waiting for the movement to stop before proceeding. I'm here to work, I want the information - I'm not here for entertainment.

    Thanks so much for taking the time to share how the moving graphs on the homepage feel for you – I’m really sorry they’re causing frustration and distraction.

    We introduced the animations to help bring key information (like money in and out, or what’s owed and due) to life and make it easier to see changes at a glance when the page first loads, rather than having everything appear as a static block of numbers. The bars “rising” from the baseline are there to show the most up-to-date figures and make comparisons a bit clearer, not to get in the way of your work.

    That said, we completely understand that movement on screen doesn’t work well for everyone, and it’s important you can focus on your tasks without visual noise. At the moment there isn’t a way to turn these homepage graphs off, or to disable the animation just for…

  4. Would love a widget that shows the leave requests sorted by closest leave date to later leave dates with a filter option to adjust to be able to show just pending approval, just approved or all.

    Another widget that would be helpful is a summary of timesheets submitted for the current pay period/ next due pay run.

    Hi Tamara, thanks for sharing this suggestion. Having a Timesheet Summary widget available directly on the dashboard sounds like it could make it much easier to keep an eye on submitted hours and stay on top of approvals without needing to navigate into Payroll.

    To make sure we can track interest clearly for each request, we keep ideas to one feature per post. Since you also mentioned employee leave requests, I’ve located an existing idea for a Leave Request widget and added your support there so it can continue to gather votes and feedback.

    I’ve moved this post to Gaining Support so we can focus on the Timesheet Summary idea here and track how helpful others would find having this visibility on their dashboard.

  5. Filter out expense claims from Bills Awaiting Payment

    I input my own money occasionally into the business & don't require paying back, so the expense claim is left "open" & shows up on Bills awaiting payment - thus confusing the amount owing to Bills I have outstanding.

  6. Shortcut to add recurring invoice via a simple UX - just add a drop down next to the 'New invoice' button. Similar to what you already have in the Sales overview page.

    Hi everyone, thanks for sharing this idea! We can see how having a “Create Repeating Invoice” shortcut right on the dashboard would make managing recurring invoicing faster and more seamless.

    Currently, you navigate through the Invoices menu to reach the Repeating tab, which adds extra steps. I’ve moved this idea to Gaining Support so our product teams can track interest and understand how much this shortcut could help streamline regular invoicing.

  7. It would be great if the number of billable expenses - outstanding (as per the report of the same name) could be included in the tasks widget - ie expenses to be oncharged. Currently I have to run the report to check if there are any oncharges to complete, but it would be great if I could just see the number on the list. We use this feature for almost all of the organisations we look after (20+) and it would save time and ensure we are oncharging more promptly.

We're taking feedback about this widget on board and considering what additional items would be most useful to customers. I'll be sure to share any updates if there is progress for adding billable expenses to this view.

  8. It would be great to have the option to display the widgets in list form, like the old display.
    As a neurodiverse person, I work in lists. With the old version every time i logged in, i would work my way down the list of accounts, ensuring i would finish before moving onto the next. This is particularly important as we have over 10 accounts.
    Currently the page feels cluttered and has no flow. I can speak for the neurodiverse community, that it is a struggle to go into the homepage and not feel overstimulated. I can see 6 blue…

  9. VISUAL: Adaptive layout & zoom to fit?

    I use my widescreen monitor to use two windows side-by-side, but then the Xero window has a lot of negative space around the tabs (see image) and the only way I can find to make this larger is to zoom in the browser, but that makes all the browser items zoomed, which I don't want. If I enlarge the Xero tab, the layout adjusts to a sweet spot, but that also doesn't fit nicely on full screen, and I end up clicking between things more than is efficient, so it should ideally sit…

  10. Making the watchlist more customisable. Would love to colour code based on under budget, approaching budget, over budget for easy management of spending.

  13. I would like an option to be added onto Sales invoices/Debtors, that allows one to select "add interest fee" of 2.5% or 5% or 10% to a specific debtor/s who pay after 8th/10th of the month (38 days from statement/s & pending if 7th falls on a weekend)

  15. While on bank reconciliation page or on bank transactions page, we can see number of pages and also there is next and previous page option but these options only appear at the bottom of the page, it would be good to see these option on the top of the page as well.

  16. My idea is: not to force new UI/functionality on users before it is ready.

    Many users will be willing to assist in trying things and providing feedback, but Xero have lost sight of the fact that an application like this is an essential business tool - we have to achieve important things on it. Don't set arbitrary deadlines for making updates mandatory for all users, make sure it is functional and useful to.

    Don't mind being free guinea pigs and testers, but not when there's work to be done. Xero has really burnt through core user capital here.

    Thanks for your feedback, Paul. Good to hear the different details that our customers would find most helpful at a glance. While we don't have plans for adding a recently paid bills widget like the invoices one just at this time we'll start to track interest in this here and I'll update you if there's any news.

  19. Please derive the Home page Profit and Loss accounting basis from the business setup setting i.e. cash or Accrual.

    This issue has been raised before and closed by a naive XERO person with no understanding of how a USER thikns or expects to use the system.

    The request by the user is not "existing functionality" as stated by the incorrect Xero staff. Being instructed to leave the homepage, go the the Dashboard (some of us dont need to use those), changing a setting in a Dashboard widget and then come back to the Homepage is not a helpful instruction.
