This has already been put forward, voted for and declined by admin however all the comments I can see refer to the client not being able to see descriptions - I want to use Xero as my sole place for organising, quoting and invoicing however we do a lot of repeat custom for several clients and may invoice them 20-30 jobs per calendar month, all we get in the invoice list is the invoice number which unless I keep a separate ledger or spreadsheet doesn't tell me what the work is for...... if I need to reference a specific job…

  2. Add a quick button to go back to invoices especially after posting a payment or while reconciling. Invoices are the thing I use most and reference most but I have to go through like three steps to get back to where i was.

  3. Xero really needs the ability to select all, or at least select multiple lines at once. In a group monthly invoice, it can take over an hour to delete or edit lines individually.
    It would also be a major improvement to allow grouping of identical line items—so that all quantities for the same item appear under a single line, instead of generating hundreds of separate lines for the same thing

  4. Not a massive one, but would eliminate a really annoying thing.
    On an invoice screen in the reference box, when typing any data that exceeds the box, the text doesn't follow outside that window. This then makes you mouse click into that box and arrow across to confirm what you have typed was in actual fact correct.
    PLEASE, can something be done about this????

  5. Allow invoices to be paid VIA Zelle. Some business bank accounts hook directly to zelle, they don't have any fees like stripe, etc. I prefer to get paid VIA Zelle so I can keep more of the money I earned.

  6. It would be an easy fix to stop automatically sending reminders for "unpaid" invoices when the business has not done their reconciliation for the relevant period. We find it stressful and time consuming to check all the time. I think sending a payment demand with the proviso to "ignore it if it has already been paid" is a waste of resources. It would be way less stressful and more efficient if reminders could be pending and only be sent automatically once the reconciliation covering the due date has been completed.

    Interesting idea, Marc. This would add another layer of complexity to reminders, but it would be great to understand the interest around this from your idea here for our product team to consider. We'll share if there are any updates.

  7. Most of our customers prefer receiving invoices via SMS. When trying to print the invoice via the SMS link, it generates a 2-3 page online version of the invoice. Can you implement a "Print pdf" option that would generate the same concise layout used when previewing the invoice in Xero? Thank you!

  8. I have clients with several different contacts and I would like to keep the specific contact from the invoice that I am copying. Instead it copies the contact from the last invoice to that client.

  10. The clients that I provide services to seek as supporting documentation a timesheet that has been signed off by an authorised representative of the client. At the moment I use an excel spreadsheet to do this then manually generate an invoice on the total agreed hours. It woud awesome to have feature where you prepare a timesheet in xero, xero sends a link to the approver to sign the timesheet then xero pulls the hours into a invoice + any agreed expenses (with supporting invoices and signed off timesheet)

  11. When using the "Add Payment" button on an Invoice, I am regularly confused because the Banks are not in the same sort order I've assigned on the Dashboard / Bank Accounts Page.

    This sort order is already applied to the "New Spend Money" page. So really it would be ideal if it matched platform-wide

    This is complicated for me since Stripe requires a new account for each platform.

    Hopefully the attached screenshot makes the request / issue clearer.

    Hi Sandy thanks for raising this with us. This is a great idea , to unify the account order across the platform. We'll move this idea so it gains more support from the community. In the meantime please feel free to share this with your peers who might also benefit from this change. We will monitor this space for more traction.

  12. To Be able to use the products and services multi select buttons to create a quote or invoice.

    Example.

    Go into products and services
    Select all products needed via the tick boxes.
    Click the 3 dots in the top right of screen.
    Have option to add all selected items to quote or to invoice.
    Continue normal quote/invoice process from there.

    This will then speed up the process if companies (like ours) that have similar product codes but in different sizes that are bought together or that go out with other products.

  13. For an Italian company. In order to send invoices to Italian clients, legally they MUST be sent through the Sistema di Interscambio (SDI), a government portal. Which helps prevent fraud and reduces tax evasion and increases visibility.
    The e-invoicing is a specific format and Xero currently doesn't support.

  14. Currently, when you raise an invoice in a foreign currency it will take the exchange rate as of that hour. If you later change the due date of the invoice, the exchange rate used to convert will change from the hour you raised the invoice, to the closing exchange rate on that day. This causes an issue for reporting where we have reported a revenue figure for a previous month. The invoice on a due date has been changed and therefore the revenue recognised in a previous month has changed. This makes our reports incorrect and could cause issues if…

  15. In addition to the existing quote tabs, add an On Hold status. It does not need a separate tab. The quote can stay on the Sent page with a clear visual indicator like a dot, icon, or color tag showing it is on hold. This would cover quotes that are not ready to proceed or are conditionally approved but not fully approved, without marking them as accepted. Although the notes section is quite handy, I believe having some sort of visual impact will increase the users' efficiency. :)

  16. Why are the subscription invoices we receive from Xero now being issued with a $0 balance? We are having to manually edit or delete the pre‑populated payment line in order to reconcile the actual payment against the invoice. The pre‑paid negative line is unnecessary and creates avoidable double handling.
    The same issue is occurring with client invoices where credits or overpayments exist. Xero has started adding a pre‑paid negative line to these invoices when they are sent. This process is impractical and will create further problems, as clients will not apply overpayments themselves. This results in additional corrective work for…

  18. To have a way to easily detect which clients need individual e-invoice in invoici, e.g., there are Tax number in Xero,
    so that we can easily select those clients who need individual e-invoice and send to Inland Revenue in Malaysia.

  19. Hi all. We have recently come over the Xero from Attache.
    Several hundred times per month in Attache, we used the product look up option for individual products sold on Invoices and the same for individual products on Purchase orders however xero currently does not offer this as outlined below.
    By putting in a code into the search area for invoices and P/O, we would like the option to search for that item, then click on the product that is identified as the one we want to look up, and bring up the invoice or purchase order the product is…

  20. Currently, in order to send multiple invoices at once, each invoice has it's own email address box to enter the recipient's email, there is no selection available to send multiple invoices to a custom email address in one click.

    This would be most helpful, especially when multiple invoices are required to go to a different email address (from the default contact email). At the moment this means entering a different email into each individual address box, even if this means entering the same email up to 50 times for each invoice selected.
