The new layout is awful, no idea who came up with it.

The font size it dreadful, the due date is huge, amount due why is that there?
Issue date, what's wrong with invoice date.

Where is the limited company reg number, full registered company name and registered office address at the bottom of the invoice. Noting that limited companies may have a different registered office address to the trading address

Another like it or lump it change forced up on your paying customers, give us the option to edit our layouts as we see fit.

This 'new experience' is just as awful as other changes you've foisted on your users. The suggestion that there was 'a lot of testing....' gives no confidence without context - what is 'a lot' and who was involved? Given that there are 816 'new ideas' associated with invoicing - and we know you stop commenting when the numbers build - it seems unlikely that Xero actually checked with genuine small business users. Again.

I fail to understand how Xero just ignores the wishes of its customers. The new invoice template is simply terrible. It looks like a young child set it up. It looks unprofessional and we (South Africa) currently cannot edit.

The feedback from Xero "we don't have immediate plans of change" is quite arrogant, given the fact that we are your paying customers. Therefore, we should be able to demand and not be dictated to.

ALSO, the credit note template has not changed, so it looks like we don't know what we are doing. Our customers continue complaining and we are at a loss as to what to say to them. Xero needs to resolve this urgently.

I truly don't know who your test audience for these changes was, but it would seem it was not your actual paying customers.

I agree wholeheartedly with all the below comments. I am new to Xero and have had some challenges trying to add and remove things example the customers vat number needs to show but your heading Tax Number I can't take out to replace with VAT No. so my invoice shows tax and vat number.
My main mission was to find a way to make the amount due and due date smaller, even possibly take out the amount due as this is obvious on the invoice total amount. Also issue date is also not important on a tax invoice. Please give us an option to edit this tax invoice to take out some of these unnecessary headings and to make due date/amount due smaller as it does not look professional as it stands out in contrast to the smaller font for issue date etc

Xero team please listen to your customers.

Our company is literally apologising to clients over this invoice template. It is absolute garbage and unprofessional. Please reduce the bold text and the size of the font or give us an in-Xero option to format our own invoices. The amount we pay for Xero this should be a default feature for all businesses to make their own invoice templates to suit their needs. If you can't figure it out, bolt on an AI invoice template generator and allow it to save to templates within Xero. Please do something about this guys as it's very clear your community hates the new invoice template and it's hurting business. This may be your most urgent task in Xero by now? It's also seen in multiple separate threads, not just this thread.

The DocX and other mentioned 'work arounds' do not work for many businesses if they don't use MS software etc etc. Xero needs to fix this within its own program and do so urgently.

We are a medical practice and this is not in keeping with our aesthetic or that of any traditional style business. Modern is fine, but there is no need to have such a bold and desperate AMOUNT and DUE DATE. I have had to develop a new invoice version using the docx option though this is not ideal. Would request another option of a contemporary corporate invoice without the oversized bold elements.

I am so glad to see that I am not the only one who disliked the new Invoice layout, it looks absolutely awful and tacky. I have been happy with the old style for over 10 years and feel it did not need to change. You response saying that most people like it seems to be false. Please remember customer feed back is important and should be listened to.

Why when emailing an Invoice to a customer, does it now have no details for us to view prior to sending, this information used to be automatic and could be checked, see below.

We urgently need to get the size of the amount due reduced from the ridiculous large font it currently is. Also it does not need to be bold.

The giant 'Amount due' and 'Due date' look ridiculous and unprofessional. Embarrassing to send out to clients. Change it to the same size as the rest of the text on that line.

The new layout and the inability to remove the 'AMOUNT DUE' in bold from the top line is a terrible look, I can't believe this is being forced upon us as user.

I also don't want my clients to see the inc VAT price instantly. If this is not changed very soon we will find an alternative book keeping system.

We agree and have commented on this elsewhere. As there are a few threads on the unpopular new sales invoice layout, we will comment here also. The size and prominence of the due amount & date is overly aggressive and for us is at odds with our personal approach to customers. Maybe for a reminder invoice this edges towards being appropriate - but it is completely unnecessary to overstate the obvious need to pay on time for a first issue invoice. We would appreciate the ability to edit the size and placement of this line and to split the due amount and date to place that part at the end. We are finding the need to apologise to customers for the appearance of this new aggressive style which we cannot control. They like this new invoicing approach even less than we do.

We are an engineering firm, where precision is important, even in our invoicing. The multiple fonts is taking away from our branding, and makes the invoice looks fraudlent and highly unprofessional. Please make the option have consistent formatting an urgent priority.

I'm adding my voice to this - the fixed, oversized styling on Amount Due and Due Date looks aggressive and unprofessional sitting next to the normal-size Issue Date, Invoice Number and Reference. I run a design business myself, and forcing one rigid, oversized style on every invoice (with no way to adjust font size, weight or emphasis!) undermines the professional, considered look many of us have spent years building into our branding. Please give us proper styling control over our own invoice templates rather than a one-size-fits-all layout we can't touch.

I have had complaints from clients about the large font size of the amount and due date - it would be great if that could either be made smaller or be opened up for formatting.

Otherwise I like the new branding theme. Obviously a few niggles that need to be looked at but overall a nice look

To Kelly Munro of Xero. You say there was a lot of testing but looking at all the comments here and online I don't think you tested it with one Xero user. Get it fixed!

I feel like the change UK the invoice was change for change sake. There was nothing wrong with the old invoice. I have now doesn't 2 days meaning to code a docx template to bring back my old invoice, with very acceptable sized font all over, and then discover is screws up the quote so I had to redo that. 2 days of non income generating work.

Just compress the whole lot at the top as mine currently takes over half of the page, which is ridiculous, and duplicates the amount due in huge shouty font, which is just rude! And we don't need a qr code as everyone looks at invoices online so you can't even click on it. We code is only useful if you're printing an invoice. Get rid of that, I know I have.
