  1. Can we have added the ability to split an expense new claim over more than one account from within Xero me, or at least be able to edit this from within Xero once claimed submitted.

    Hi team, sorry we've not updated you here sooner. You'll find you can itemise expense claims using the Xero Me app on Android and iOS.

    You'll find this option at the top of the screen;

    • On Android this looks like an arrow that splits
    • On iOS there is the word 'Itemise' followed by an arrow that splits

    When you click this option you should see the ability to add multiple items to a single claim where you can set the Account and Tax rate for each item within the claim.

  2. It would be beneficial to be able to edit transactions via Xero Expenses.

    I find if a client has approved something to the wrong code you have to remove the whole transaction and redo it. In Xero normally you can Edit a transaction.
    I have checked with Xero and that is the only current resolution.

    Xero is usually so user friendly but this way is time consuming and slow. Thanks

    Hi Antony, when processing expenses on the Xero Me app there is the option to edit an expense that has been submitted on both iOS and Android.

    On iOS this is available from the Options menu, and on Android you'll want to tap the 3 dots in the top right of the claim. 😊

  3. Add the capability to zoom in submitted receipts. As an approver of claims it is very hard to read the receipts without being able to zoom in or enlarge on certain parts of submitted receipts. This was available in the old “expenses” app which will no longer be in use at the end of February

  4. Make the Xero Me App receipt analysis feature (to autofill expense data) available to expense submitter users.

    I was pretty surprised to lean today it is currently only available for admin users, despite it being a feature to benefit the expense submission process.

    Hi Paul, I think there's been a little bit of confusion here. Only an Expenses user with Admin can enable this feature, however once enabled any user in the organisation that has access to Expenses will be able to make use of the receipt analysis feature. 🙂

  5. Add an option when uploading receipts to scan in the receipt. This can then take all relevant information from he receipt and give you the option to match this expenses with similar information or to create a new spend money transaction.

    Much quicker and simpler than manually adding this information every time you buy from a new supplier, and will be quicker to match to transactions.

  6. Expenses - Clone or Copy an Existing Expense

    My team have asked if we can make a 'copy to new Expense feature' from an existing Expense. Most of the expenses they enter are similar and just have a different amount and different receipt image. It would save them a lot of time if they could clone an existing Expense. Thank you.

    Hi team, it's possible to Duplicate an expense receipt within Xero Me mobile app. 😊

    Your employee can open a Submitted or Approved receipt, select options and they'll see the ability to 'Duplicate'. Alternatively, for a complete Claim simply opening the receipt and scrolling down they should see the option to Duplicate.

    In the draft receipt they'll be able to change whatever details necessary before submitting for approval.

  7. Currently it seems the only place to add an expense to a project is within the Projects module. But what if your employees use Xero Expenses to input all of their expenses? There's even a field in Xero Expenses that says "Assign to customer or project" - but no projects can be selected.

    Please can we associate expenses to a Project when submitting an expense through Xero Expenses?

    As noted(Thanks for the direction here, Leah!) if the user has access to both Xero Expenses and Projects they will be able to create expenses through the Xero app and assign this to an existing Project - see more entering expenses in our help 

    When assigning the permission, start searching for the project where you'll see a list of the related projects then pop up for selection. 🙂

    There's no way to assign a project to a spend money that's being created through the Xero accounting app atm, this is a bit of a different idea to what's been raised here but you're welcome to start an idea for this that we can get a view of the demand and keep you updated through.

  8. Allow another user in your organisation to enter and submit expense claims on behalf of another user... "so you can focus on other important things" in Xero parlance.

    For example: company director can delegate the expense claims to the company secretary to submit expenses on the director's behalf.

    Zoho Expense has this feature, which we use for this reason:

  9. On my dashboard, I can see details of my current and draft expense claims. I have just added some new expenses in my browser using the New Expense Claim page, and I cannot see these on my dashboard.

    Is there a way to make these visible?

    Great news everyone, as of mid April 2019, you can track the status of your new Expenses from the Dashboard. The "Recent submissions" section has been added for users in the org with an Admin & Approver roles to stay on top of recent claims - Here's an example of what this looks like.😊
