UK Payroll - Payslips - Schedule date for payslips to be emailed

Ability to have an automated scheduled payslip.

Purpose: To make Payroll admin workflow easier, especially when they aren’t working on the day when payslip needs to be sent.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this one, community. We know how important scheduling payslips is for many of you, and we appreciate the time you’ve taken to explain how it could help your workflow.

We understand being able to set a future send date could make life easier when you’re managing different client paydays, covering for colleagues who are away or avoiding confusion from employees receiving payslips before the money is in their account.

Right now the workaround is to set a reminder to log in and send payslips on the required day. We know that’s not ideal, and while we don’t have dates to share, we’re committed to improving the payslip experience. This idea is under active consideration and we’ll keep you updated on progress.

    This would be a useful addition to the Payroll function.

    I cannot believe Xero does not action this and leave it so long. All other payroll software have this basic function.

    This should be a built in feature automatically. The employer should be able to publish payslips to an employee when they want and not when Xero want!!!

    Scheduling payslips to be automatically emailed to employees would be a fantastic feature. It would save a lot of time.

    The option to choose a date to send EE payslips would be a huge help , when you are running multiply payrolls this option would be invaluable. I may run a payroll on the 10th of the month yet payday is 30th so need to remember to log in and send payslips on the 29th. Takes a lot of time up.

    This is important to send the payslip automatically on Weekend.

    Would be very useful to be able to prepare pays early in the week (for example) but only send the payslip on the day the payment is to be made.

    Would be a great feature as the date payroll is run isn't necessarily the date payslips need sending

    This feature would definitely help me as currently have to pass this task to someone else if away when payslips need sending.

    It would be great if you could set payslips to automatically email out to employees on a set day, i.e. pay day! Payroll is run up to a week before pay day and clients want employees to receive their payslips on pay day itself. Currently, I have to add it to my calendar to remind me to log in to each of my clients accounts on different days in order email the payslips manually. If it could be done automatically, it would save me some time.

    I suggested this years ago and lots of people commented on it, but it never happened.
