  1. Currently when we are submitting expense claims we have to scroll through all our past projects to find the project we need to assign an expense to. We would like a simple search bar placed at the top of this list so we can start typing and the relevant projects will come up as an option.

  2. Can we have complete name of Chart of Account in Xero Expense. For eg, from screeenshot attached, we have x3 different Meal Chart of Account but as i can't see the complete name of the chart of account i have to go to different screen to find the right code.

    If we can see/have complete name of the chart of the account when submitting/editing Credit Card receipt that will be super helpful

  3. Timesheet - Earnings Rate viewing space needs increasing
    Why is the space so small to view the earing rate selected, most earning rates are much longer than the space provided, which is creating issues to clarify if the rate selected is correct. And creating additional time required to check the correct rate has been entered or pulled through from scheduling software.
    Please widen this space, there is plenty of room as there is excess room in the Tracking area or the page actually widened.

  4. Inside Xero Me, when you set your Timesheet type to "Start and end times" you can add notes for working days.

    It would be great if we could add notes when we have our Timesheet type set to "Total hours worked".

    As an employee, not being able to add a note & select an earning type is inconvenient and can cause confusion which leads to slower timesheet approvals

    It's been a while since we've provided you with an update about this idea, so wanted to touch base

    We've reviewed your comments and can see the that this idea has been steadily gaining support.

    Whilst this idea isn't currently on our product team's roadmap, we're monitoring the activity and will continue to keep you updated along the way.

  5. Currently Xero does not assign annual leave and public holiday to a project/job as timesheet doesn't have this function.
    Superannuation generates from payroll (pay run) , however, there is no place to allocate superannuation to different projects/jobs as well.

  6. When a client fails to pay Superannuation Guarantee levy on time the employer should lodge a Super Guarantee charge form. Is it possible to develop a form where the affected employees can be printed & exported to excel to enable a simple "cut & paste"? If the ATO have started an investigation this can save many hours of work especially if the period covered is several years.

  7. Have the ability to enter employer pension contributions in the opening balances when adding a new client to Xero. At present the resulting payslip is incorrect as the YTD employer pension figure only shows the current month and not YTD.

  8. Allow us to turn off the pop up that shows when posting a pay run. I don't need reminders to pay the employees and file the pay run especially when I do payroll for 20+clients.

  9. The Payroll History Report needs to be available as a customizable report for which you can choose the reporting period and include all employees in one report. Currently only available for one employee at a time.

    Hi there, we appreciate you raised this a little while ago. This isn't something we have plans for in the near term.

    Not getting a lot of support from other members we’ll soon remove this from Product ideas. If it’s still highly valuable to you, welcome to start it again and see if it gets renewed interest.

  10. Apparently this functionality is enabled on the AU payroll system, but not NZ!

    Essentially, it would be great if an employee's annual salary figure could be displayed on their payslips. Given that this is already an option within Xero Payroll for Australia, surely this is an easy addition for Xero Payroll for New Zealand.

  11. I have one employee that is paid the same amount every week, it would be great if I could set the pay run to post and file itself every week until further notice. I have an automatic bank payment set up so this would make it so easy - and more importantly it doesn't rely on me remembering.

    Hi community, while we appreciate you sharing this idea with us here, and understand the interest for being able to automate pay runs, we want to confirm this is not in our plans at present.

  12. When I approve my own expense claims, don't generate a notification for me that my expense is approved. I already know because I just did it. It wastes my time and attention marking those notifications as read.

    Just a minor annoyance. But also a quick fix, I suspect.

    Hey team, we began releasing updates to expense notification which included the change mentioned in my last update here. However, with some of the other changes that were bundled with this one we quickly found that there were some customers receiving many more notifications than before.

    Unfortunately we've needed to turn this off and will look longer term and how we can develop controls for notification preferences.

    For the time being I'm going to move this back to Accepted and when we can bring more attention and resource to developing controls for notifications we'll share an update with you all.

  13. For permanent employees, all XERO business customers should be able to calculate their future leave balances. This will allow a business owner to know if they can approve the leave or not, or what conversation to have with a team member.

    I hope this idea is backed and implemented.

    Hi community, thanks for all your discussion and votes on this idea. We can see the appetite in being able to project future leave balances in AU Payroll. We understand that you're looking for an easier way to see an employee's accrued leave for a future date, which would make planning for things like company shutdowns and approving leave requests simpler.

    Our product team has taken a look at this suggestion, however building this functionality isn't on our foreseeable roadmap. For that reason, we'll be changing the status of this idea to ‘Not in Pipeline’. The idea will remain open for votes, so we can continue to gauge interest when we next review our priorities for payroll.

    As some have shared - exporting and combining reports outside of Xero is one way to get the information you need, although we understand its not the solution you'd like here.

  14. UK Payroll - need a P32 report that can be printed/downloaded month by month in addition to the details provided for the whole year. Other payroll software's provide this as it's handy to have.

  15. When you've uploaded multiple receipts/invoices to a transaction it would be useful to have a "next" button to go through all the uploads rather than having to X out and click individually into each attachment. For example expenses. This will save time reviewing

  16. Could the user have access to the calendar in payroll to allow them to manually input other dates that are important but not automatically fed into the calendar and also set up reminder alerts?

    Sage allowed you to this which was really useful if you had to remove/add a benefit on a certain date.

    Thanks for your support and joining in this idea. We get the challenges involved in manually chasing up employees to complete timesheets each pay period.

    Although it's not the integrated solution you’re looking for, you could look to set up recurring calendar events or using external communication tools to prompt your team members.

    We want to be transparent that we don't have any plans for adjusting the existing notifications for timesheets.

    We'll continue to monitor this idea, and should our priorities shift in the future we'll let everyone know here.

  20. I need to be able to approve super when I am travelling and do not have access to text messages. It is most inflexible that there is only one method for doing this! Can the Xero Verify App not be used for auto super approvals too? Then I only need wifi.

    Or, can text be received to whatsapp instead?

    Thanks for sharing your idea for alternative methods to approve auto super batch payments.

    We've reviewed your idea and now it's up to the community to get behind and support it.

    In the meantime, Auto super payments must be approved using the authorisation code sent via SMS.

    If needed, both the current approver and subscriber can update the approval details in the event the current approver is not available.
