Another user request approaching 3 years old!

Given the STP and new Payday super requirements requiring multiple steps each payrun - and sometimes across multiple payruns if weekly and monthly employees - it's easy to forget to do this. Also, as a bookkeeper for multiple businesses this is a daily task and especially onerous when paying in advance pre Xmas break. Having the option to send straight away or delay would be very useful.

Given most user requests end up on the backburner with virtually no response from Xero apart from vague "it's in the pipeline" or "waiting for votes" - no wonder we are all frustrated!

The ability to schedule payslips to be automatically emailed to employees on the payment date would be a much appreciated addition.

As a bookkeeper four separate companies, I often process payrolls in advance and schedule the ABA file with the bank ahead of the payment date. However, I then need to log back into Xero on payday solely to send the payslips to employees.

Having the option to schedule payslips to be sent automatically on the nominated payment date would streamline the payroll process, save time, and ensure employees receive their payslips at the same time their wages are deposited.

As mentioned below, when running multiple payrolls for different companies, it is not practical to log back in just for the purposes of sending payslips on the correct day. if they could be set to send automatically on the payment date it would be much more practical.

Absolutely needed I will be scheduling pays the day before payday soon due to surgery on payday, definitely will not be able to log on to email them on the payment date.

This is critical with the changes around super payments per 1/7/26. The more we can automate the better. Thank you

Back on this thread as an employee of a business that uses Xero for payslips. I am required to send my job agency payslips and employee side downloading old payslips individually is an absolute headache and takes soooo long to do. I am majorly in favour of anything that makes the process easier. emailing, bulk download, all of it.

Ability to schedule the emailing of payslips for a future date.

Often pay runs are prepared in advance (due to holidays etc) and it would be useful to have the ability to schedule the emailing of payslips at a future point in time. Payslips are best emailed on the date of payment as employees are often confused if they are emailed on a date prior to payment.

+1 for ability to schedule in advance for payslip to be emailed at a later date

It would be a good idea if we could email out payslips at a future date. Especially over christmas. Some people dont log into Xero me and expect future payslips. This would also be good with remittance aswell

I presume this is the same for all countries’ payrolls as I need it in UK.

NZ Payroll needs this too!

Schedule payslips in XERO. So you can prep a payroll for a certain date and XERO send out the payslips automatically.

Surely this is an easy fix for Xero to implement. Can’t believe it’s not standard practice any way.

100% support this idea too. Would like to have this look as part of the core function :)

When processing wages in advance, it would be ideal if you could email pay slips on a set date instead of when processing

100% agree Michael. this should be an quick & easy fix for Xero. It is a FairWork & ATO Compliance issue. Not a nice to have.

Given the FWO mandates payslips are sent within1 day of issuing pay, implementing this function is critical to our business to stay compliant.

Ability to choose to send payslips automatically after posting, or to choose to send on a particular day / time (recurring "appointment" like setting appointments in calendars").

Ability to set a future date for when payslips are to be sent/be available to employees as payroll can be completed early sometimes (ie public holidays etc)
