I just cannot accept this is how this works, fundamental flaw in my view, you can do this in sage, set user role permissions, xero is very restrictive, needs addressed quickly

Like other users this is time critical for our business - as new subscribers to Xero, we would like to see this change take place asap. I am shocked that this functionality cannot be amended as the two functions are under two different headings ? Urgent action required as a business this could be a decider as to whether we stay with Xero or return to Sage.

I agree that this is very necessary. You need certain employees to have access to inventory, but not the bank account being able to see what gets paid and what funds come in. It also gives them access to see what other employees get paid. This is totally not acceptable!!

Xero is a joke, moving on soon.

I can't believe the system was set up without the ability to fine tune user roles. As an accountant I recommended Xero to a client, but then the person running AR & AP can't access reports or produce remittance advices without being able to see all bank balances and the whole company financials. Bizarre!! Also this client would like the accounts person to be able to access the Barclaycard and Paypal bank feed, but not the current account and financials. Any chance of this soon?? Thanks Xero!

This is critical for us. Hugely embarrassing for the accountants who recommended Xero to us. The worst part is the lack of communication from Xero - in the face of such extensive and sustained customer request for this function. If it was difficult to do then perhaps it would be more understandable. It is unfathomable why this has not been done before now. I really wish Xero would explain, or better still just make the changes.

when will this happen Xero? We should be able to assign each feature per individual at the same time being able protect vital financial information.

Fantastic idea, please make this happen, this is critical to the day to day. Seems the very basic things have been missed.

I have been requesting this function change for 8 years.
I am now about to change to another system after loyally staying with Xero and awaiting for this change that Xero has made no effort to correct.Yes, its a design fault in your system! You seem to have absolutely no regards for a very simple and crucial request. Would you like everyone who works for you to see all your financials????? Would you???? Really look forward to hearing from you .

This is absolutely insane. It causes us a lot of extra work. It should be a very easy fix for Xero and it is extremely disappointing Xero still hasn't made it a priority.

This issue should be at the very top of Xero's list of updates, it it totally crazy to think that a store person or sales person or a storeman has access to the company financials along with access to stock control options. This should be a basic setting to separate these, its high time Xero took this on board and acted post haste.

Please give us update here. We also need this to fully utilize the function of the products and services

It would be great if staff with access to purchasing could add products required without having to get higher access. It would also be great if items could be added when creating a purchase order rather than having to go to products and services and then back to the purchase order screen

I would like to be able to let our purchasing clerk and product that need to be purchased to the system without allowing full access

Can Xero please give an update on this request? This is limiting our company stock function as we cant allow our stockman to access bank information.

Why is this not sorted - hundreds are screaming for it..?!
I have a E-commerce site being built by a 3rd party and he needs access to products and services to add items and pricing - I can't give it to him without showing him the entire guts of my financials .??
