  1. Ability to add multiple email addresses for tax payment letters.
    This would be great if looked into very soon.
    We have been manually entering additional email addresses which is a bit of a worry if a character is misspelt.
    When copy and paste is used the changes get made to all clients and is a real disaster.

  2. XPM job financial summary is available from the job screen and financial tab, under "print financial summary". As currently prepared the financial summary does not report actual invoices and total amount invoiced, in addition the report does not include the profitability measures for rate per hour and recovery percentage. This would be useful to have these calculated and presented at the top of the report.

  3. Would be great to have the ability in XPM tax to identify if the client has a payment arrangement with IR. If there is somewhere in tax we can enter this information and this gets flagged when approving the tax payment letter, not to send the letter if the tax year is under arrangement.

  4. We are in the process of checking all Client details in XPM to ensure they are all complete and up to date. One of the checks that we were doing was to ensure that we had the NZBN numbers of clients recorded. However this appears to be the only client field that you are unable to select when creating a custom report!
    Xero's response to my query was "you may like to add this in as a custom field and input in the NZBN in the custom field section for the clients which will then pull into the report" -…

    Hi everyone, appreciate the feedback we've received since my previous updates and apologies for any confusion caused.

    Checking back in with our product teams around this, there is a current issue that means some NZ practices are unable to add Business Number to their custom reports atm. This is something we intend to rectify and I'll move the idea back to Under review for now, and as soon as there are further updates on it, we'll share with you here.

  5. Provide an option under the client group to bill wip that's under multiple clients in the group with one invoice.

    At the moment it appears this can only be done under Invoices in the Business menu. Under the client group itself, while an invoice can be created for multiple jobs for one client, you can't create a single invoice to bill wip that's under multiple clients in the group.

  6. AU TAX - Client Substantiation for all Tax Returns.
    Only Activity Statements and Individual Tax Returns have Client Substantiations. Can we have client substantiation documents on all tax returns included in Trust Tax Returns, Partnership Tax Return, Company Tax Return.

  7. At the moment, we can only add one IR833 per client when doing tax returns. It would be great to have the ability to add more IR833 forms, as otherwise, if the client sells more than one property, we need to file the forms directly through the IRD, which can be time-consuming.

  8. Lock review points.
    Review points should not be able to be edited or deleted especially when done by partner. Manager should be able to respond but not edit or delete the original review point made by someone higher

    Hi everyone, while we appreciate hearing how we could make processes more efficient for our customers using Xero, this is not an idea we would be able to take action on.

    Inland Revenue do not currently allow correspondence to be sent with a tax return via the Gateway services. This may be feedback that you could share with your IR Account Manager. Thanks

We would like to be able to comment on the tax payment and save the comment, rather than making the comment and having to approve and then unapprove the letter to get it back to waiting for approval. This would also be good for tax notices that we ignore, as we can put a note as to why we are ignoring them.

  11. I've been using Xero Workpapers now for 7 years. While I find it efficient and effective, there is certainly room for minor improvements.

    Yet, despite this list of product ideas from users, it appears that Xero hasn't actually made any changes to this product in the entire time that I have used it. Of the 91 product ideas, only 5 have been marked as 'delivered', 3 of which are not specific to Xero Workpapers, 1 was pointing out a feature that has always been there and the last was resulting from the removal of the old xero reporting (not really…

    Hi community, we understand wanting to hear from us around improvements for workpapers and we have some good updates coming with our new Workpapers solution!

    Some of the key enhancements you'll find in the new solution include; roll forward, direct ledger integration, granular user roles, and better collaboration tools. Once live to all we intend to continue iterating and adding enhancements to this new product.

    We've started release to our Australian partners now, with plans to release to to all regions in the new year.

  12. Enable the ability to generate a report that includes users for each client organisation that includes users who are not staff members so that you can quickly see if the correct and relevant people are accessing the Xero file and know if you need to remove users who shouldn't be there.

  13. It would be great to have tasks within jobs (XPM) link to Xero Blue's item codes so that when importing bulk invoices, they can be allocated to a specific task/item code. This will allow for easy reporting both in XPM/Xero Blue.

    Otherwise, it would be great to have an option to allocate a task to invoices in Xero Blue that links back to the relevant task in XPM, similarly to the way the Reference field works for jobs.

  14. Improve the way clients can create accounts and log into an existing xero account.

    If we create an account for them, it asks them to put in their organisation details. Then we invite the client into the organisation, they have to accept the invitation.

    Clients are always having issues with their log ins, and signing documents. Feel this could be made easier for them.

  15. Per the attached screenshots, it would significantly increase efficiency to be able to use quick keyboard shortcuts when entering timesheets. Specifically the + and SAVE buttons, as almost everything else can be entered using the keyboard alone.

  17. Practice Admin have the ability to remove themselves if they have been invite into a potential clients org without manage users.

    Potential clients that decide to not go ahead with a Practice but done remove the PA from the org, PA should have the ability to remove themselves.

  18. In the timesheets window, a button which takes you back to todays timesheet.

    I often have to scroll back, and prepare prior period timesheets, and so it would be handy to have a "today" button, which will automatically return you to the current days timesheet - rather than having to scroll forward (similar to handisoft practice manager).

  19. I feel like a dedicated feedback board would be useful. As I don't feel there is currently an appropriate place to give feedback and notify support of things that are not working properly.
    For example, I have the new GST returns to trial and there was an actual feedback box in Xero. Where i gave the feedback that i liked the new features but not the look. Now the feedback box is gone and I have just noticed that it tells you that there are unreconciled lines to code. But, they are for the next GST period. Plus the old…

  20. Every year we have to manually create tax returns for each client - would be great if the client is listed as an existing client on both XPM and ATO that XPM can bulk create the tax returns for that relevant year run. This would cut down a lot of admin time.
