NZ Tax - Include Rental schedule when filing return with IRD
IRD are asking us for details of our rental expenses - I would like the Residential and Commercial Rental schedules to accompany the tax return when filing with IRD - I can not imagine anyone wanting to do this manually.

Practice tools - Notification when Job/Client WIP Budget is exceeded
Currently estimates/quotes require a specific amount of time to be allocated against a specific task for a specific staff member. We need either notifications when total unbilled WIP for a client reaches x amount OR to be able to create a quote/estimate for a total dollar figure across all tasks and staff, and have notifications set when that figure (or % thereof) is reached. This feature is standard in most timekeeping programs and I'm shocked XPM doesn't have it.

XPM - Add a column for tax number to client list
Please add a column for a client IRD/tax number to the client list view in XPM to save having to drill into each client to find it.

Xero Tax (AU) - Warning to complete 13U tax losses and losses schedule
It would be beneficial for a warning to show to complete label 13U tax losses to be carried forward and/or when a losses schedule is required in a Trust or Company tax return when there has been a tax loss for the current year. This would reduce the risk that this label is inadvertently omitted.

Xero Sign - Automated Notification of Xero sign Bundle Expiry
Automated reminder for Xero Sign Bundle expiration
I have just been caught out again with expiry of unused transactions in my signing pack of 150. Instead of being cut off at expiry date or having to remember to go and look it up could there just be an automated reminder. Also, for us small sole traders it would be great to have smaller bundles than 150, even 50 at a time. Even better, why not let us use all of our transactions we have paid for. Still need an automated message that they have expired.2 votesHi Angela,thanks for letting us know an automated reminder for your Xero Sign bundles would be a huge help, and we really appreciate you bringing this idea to our attention. For now, the best way to stay on top of your usage is to manually check your remaining transactions and the expiry date in Xero HQ > Xero Sign. A good workaround is to set up your own calendar reminder 🗓️ to check in on your bundle regularly. This will help you avoid any last-minute surprises. Right now, an automated notification for expiring Xero Sign bundles isn't on our immediate roadmap. However, your feedback is incredibly valuable and helps us understand which features are most important to you. We'll be sure to keep you in the loop on any changes to the status of this idea. 🔄

Document Pack - Schedule time to send document pack

We can see how having more control over when document packs are sent would be useful in managing your client communications more effectively. While this idea is still new, it’s been reviewed by our community team and is now marked as Gaining Support.

Xero Tax (UK) | Company - Liquidation & Cessation Accounts and CT Returns
Please add the functionality to set a cessation of trade date for a company in liquidation or in the insolvency process to allow for accounts and corporation tax returns to be produced from the last year end to the date of cessation of trade/insolvency.
This will enable Accountants to produce these closing accounts and CT returns from HMRC and so offer a one stop shop and earn more revenue.

NZ Tax - Notification when there is overdistribution of income types in an IR6
When making distributions to beneficiaries, we are able to distribute more than the income type recorded i.e. if there is $1,000 of interest income you can distribute $10,000 of interest income to a beneficiary if there are other types of income and it doesn't put the total at keypoint 21B in the return to a negative figure. It would be helpful if the over distribution of interest was picked up by the audit check.

NZ Tax - Tax returns show amount at Tax Pooling
Currently NZ clients can make payments to a Tax Pooling provider (e.g. Tax Traders or TMNZ) and they will sit in the Tax Pooling Providers account until transferred to IRD.
In the clients mind they have 'paid this tax' already, but when the tax return is prepared in XPM there is no sign of any tax pooling payments, and it shows the full tax liability.It would be great if there was a way to type in how much has been paid to Tax Pooling, and record this on the front page of the tax return so there is a…

We can certainly see how clients would find it confusing when their prepared tax return in XPM doesn't reflect payments they have already made to a provider like TMNZ or Tax Traders. Your idea to add a note or a specific field on the return to record this amount would be a great way to provide clarity and manage client expectations.

XPM - Link multiple jobs to invoices
Being able to link several jobs with the one invoice raised in Xero blue. When issuing through Practice Ignition, it only allows you to allocate to one invoice in XPM. Moving the timesheets is clunky and inaccurate

Ability to add multiple email addresses for tax payment letters.
This would be great if looked into very soon.
We have been manually entering additional email addresses which is a bit of a worry if a character is misspelt.
When copy and paste is used the changes get made to all clients and is a real disaster.42 votes -
Practice Manager - 'Sticky Note' on client home page
To have a function that essentially works as a sticky note on the details page of the clients file. Although there is the notes function, it it easily lost within the multiple tabs, however if something was right there on the home screen for all to see it isn't as easily missed/ignored. It could be something simple like a staff member has been trying to get in touch with the client, or bringing attention to an address change, noting the preferred method for documents to be signed etc.

BAS - Add a contact column for reveiwing
In the Activity Statement screen, in the transaction detail, the contact column should be in there so we can sort per contact and analyze the contact's gst application consistency. This is very beneficial in terms of reviewer task.

XPM - Sync unique account number from Xero to XPM.
Account number to be synced to XPM from Xero. This unique account number/code is very useful and would be great to be automatically synced. Further, if, just like in Xero, it is a set field in XPM that notifies you when you are duplicating a code that has already been used for another client.

XPM - Allocation of job write off/on against users
We have just been advised that we cannot allocate write off/on to jobs rather against individuals or apportioned across those who have charged time to the job. At times, jobs are short quoted for reasons and it's unfair to impact someone's recoverability due to business decisions. There has to be a way to record such write offs without impacting staff or teams time directly rather recoverability of the job.

XPM - Job format
It would be helpful if you could move the job information sections into any order (and this is default for all jobs & Clients). The main focus when we open a job is to review the tasks and these are way down the bottom. At the very least the default job information layout could be that all the sections are closed and you can open the section you want without have to scroll down all the time.
