  1. Can you please add the GST filing frequency as a field to filter on when creating or building reports relating to GST.

    This is currently not an option to enter when adding a new client, would be great if you could though.

  2. It would really make my life easier if you could please allow the [Month] [Year] option to label on the task for recurring jobs. This would allow us to see in blue Xero the label of the task namely month and year when invoicing our clients. This would be really helpful when identify numerous jobs and tasks for the same client as the job name does not appear on the invoice in blue Xero. Also, with using the [Month] feature, it would roll over in the next recurring job on its own.

  3. It would be extremely helpful if there was an option to set multiple lock dates for various clients at once, so that we don't have to go into each client separately each month. It would also be helpful to have this option on Xero HQ with a view to their current locked period as well.

  4. Please can you include the workings (which are long and complicated) for top slicing relief on an insurance bond gain in the "schedule of data" report which I find to be very basic compared to what my previous tax software provider included. Otherwise it is fiddly and time consuming to check this manually.

    It'll be good to get a gauge of the community support through your idea here. We don't have any plans for adding top slicing relief on an insurance bond gain atm, but we'll share if there are any changes for this made.

  8. Per the attached screenshots, it would significantly increase efficiency to be able to use quick keyboard shortcuts when entering timesheets. Specifically the + and SAVE buttons, as almost everything else can be entered using the keyboard alone.

    I was told that when you create a job for client A, you can only create CURNN for client A.

    We are unable to make CURNN for client A's association - such as their spouse, their business (company, trust, partnership, etc) or any client in client A's group.

    To do a CURNN for client A's spouse, i would have to create a job for the spouse then create the CURNN.

Appreciate you have also shared detail around this with our specialists at Xero Support, however just highlighting that ideas in the forums here are for the community to support any detail you can provide through the idea directly here will also help other community members understand and support your ideas.

    We don't have any immediate changes around this planned, for now you'll want to add a New CURNN to each individual client. We'll continue to keep an eye on the community support for this here,.

  10. In any particular Xero account, you can review the history notes (essentially an audit log), however we do not seem to have the ability to audit a particular staff member's activity across all clients.

    This would be useful if you have a particular firm employee making the same mistake across multiple reconciliations. You could see their access/activity log to know which clients you needed to review. Or if you simply needed to know every client the employee has touched in a certain timeframe.

  13. Ability to bulk re-allocate invoices to different jobs and or clients.
    It would be great if you could easily re-allocate an invoice (or a cost / timesheet entry) to a different client or job. I have had cases where a clients name/entity type has changed and the recurring invoices have not been posted against the correct client in XPM (old client not new client, even though the invoice is issued under the new name in Xero). Or a client wants to be billed under different entities in a group but there is only one job so i would have to…

  14. It would be great if we could use Collaboration Manager to assign emails directly to the Client, rather than a Job or a Quote. These emails would then be automatically stored under the Notes tab in the Clients screen.

  16. We have some clients that have multiple businesses under their personal names. Can we please have individual worksheets for each business to input income and expenses which then automatically totals into the business schedule in the main form?

    At the moment in XERO tax, we need to put the grand totals into the business schedule, then split the amounts across the businesses for each expense/income line item. This is not practical as we generally receive separate figures for each business, not a grand total.

    Thanks so much for taking the time to outline how you’re using Xero Tax and the challenges with clients who have multiple businesses under their personal names. ✨


    At the moment, we’re not planning to introduce individual worksheets for each business that then roll up automatically to the main business schedule, so this isn’t something that’s currently in our pipeline.


    While I don’t have a timeframe or planned work to share for this specific workflow, your feedback is really valuable in helping us understand where Xero Tax isn’t supporting multi‑business clients as well as it could. We’ll keep monitoring interest in this type of functionality as we review and prioritise future improvements to Xero Tax.

  17. ATO prefilling summary to include column displaying relevant Tax Return Label next to prefill information

    Example (Individual Tax Return - Bank Interest)
    Gross Interest $x,*** Label 10L

    Example (Managed Funds Distributions)
    Non primary production income amount $x,*** Label 13U

    Currently the ATO prefilling summary does not show the Tax Return Label which information will be prefilled into. Inclusion of Labels will make reconciliation between prefilling and Tax Return easier.

  18. If you send an email from the XPM Job it automatically adds the details as per the "name" field of the job as the subject in the email.

    Please add the name of the client after the insertion of the "job name" field of the job in the subject.
    If I do have a client with multiple entities, it can be confusing for the client as he does not know for which entity the mail is - he only sees the job number and the job description. If you look in history of your mails you can then also search…

  19. Please add an option in collaboration to show active only or ALL jobs.

    We sometimes receive mails after the job was completed(or billed) but then we must open the job to allocate any mails received.

  20. XPM Staff permission - Practice Administration Permissions: You shouldnot have to give a staff member access to the full business setting menu to be able let them access the PLS/ELS reports. There should be a PLS/ELS Management only permission.

    I want a staff member to be able to access the PLS/ELS reports without being able to access other staff member information or having access to all my practice setting.
