  1. In Job Manager, please include the following dates to allow better management of workflow and practice objectives to better service clients:

    • Job Received Date (from client) - make this editable, but history of changes is recorded and viewable.
    • Job Start Date (when job was started on, or triggered, for recurring ones)
    • Job STATE Due Date (for the specific Job States)
    • Job FINAL Due Date (eg. based on deadlines or Practice's targets, eg. within 8-12 weeks of receiving the Job)
    • Last Actioned Date (this can sit within the Comments/Notes column within Job Manager view, just as so many others have requested***).

    Hi Vernis, currently it's possible to view Start and Due date from Job Manager, however the others you've mentioned are not available. If we make any plans to add State, Last actioned date or Received date we'll update you here.

  2. Improve multi currency capability of XPM.

    Currently, XPM only caters for invoicing out in the base currency and so invoices are done out of Xero. When it compes to KPI reports out of XPM, the info is all wrong. Invoice amounts pull through in invoice currency and not base currency, where as time is calculated in the base currency, these are incorrectly picked up as over and unders. Since there is no way to see what currency the invoice is in, reports from XPM are quite useless and differ significantly to profit reported in Xero for entities that invoice in…

    Hi everyone, thanks for the feedback we have received about assigning Staff permissions from you all. While we are continuing to make improvements within the new staff and client experiences we will keep a close eye on the interest in being able to bulk manage staff permissions like's being requested here, however this is not something we have planned just atm. I will share an update if there's any progression.

  4. The 'export invoice to Xero' manual option should be available to staff that have approve invoice permissions. When we have a 'Xero export failed' message and staff correct the error, they need to be able to push this across manually to Xero blue without requesting it from an administrator.

  6. Please add the ability for Xero Tax to directly upload a list of data (Excel or CSV) for;
    1. List of Assets for capital allowances where the business does not use Fixed Assets Module
    2. List of participators loans
    3. List of projects for R&D

  7. Can we have the ability to search for a transaction , by amount , payee or description across all bank accounts. Rather than having to go into each bank account and sort dates etc and than search. Having the option to choose all bank accounts, rather than an individual bank account would be awesome.

    Hi team, I wanted to share that the recent updates for the Reconcile page have now been released to all users. This includes a search bar at the top of the page and includes filters for date range and amount. This provides the ability to look up criteria of your statement lines and narrow down your search. 

    You'll also find you can now view more statement lines per page, with up to 50 at a time - You'll find more on this and other updates shared on our blog. 

    We appreciate the ask on this idea is a search across all statement lines, across all bank accounts. I want to confirm this is not something we have plans for developing at this stage, and I'll move this idea back to 'submitted' so we can continue to track and update you if there is any progress of this, here. 

  8. If you update the report code mapping on a report template and save it as a draft, the changes won't reflect on the draft template in the client’s organisation.

    You either need to remove the report from your template and add it again, or run a fresh template in the client organisation.

    Above the answer for my problem - such an obvious issue, surely Xero, you can sort this out without waiting for folks to vote on it !!

  9. Automatically add firm bank details to SA100. Most client refunds go directly into our client account and have to be entered manually each time. A way to select from saved details would save time.

    Being open this isn't something we have any plans around right now, however we'd like to gather interest from community through your idea here. If there are any updates we'll share with you, here.

  10. I'd really love to see an option in My Xero where the default sorting can be set to the file most recently opened by me (as opposed to alphabetical, or the file last viewed date). That way all of the current clients I'm working on will be near the top of the list rather than having to scroll down and find them, or search each time!

  11. XPM job financial summary is available from the job screen and financial tab, under "print financial summary". As currently prepared the financial summary does not report actual invoices and total amount invoiced, in addition the report does not include the profitability measures for rate per hour and recovery percentage. This would be useful to have these calculated and presented at the top of the report.

  12. Add cc/bcc field to the OoA email when sending. Better: ability to have it pre-populated with a cc/bcc address. Allow sending to alternate email account, including a CRM.

  14. Enable reporting / export for the 'Fee from Refund' field under Tax under the Tax and Company section in clients.

    The other fields in the ax and Company section are available in the Client & Contact Report Builder, however this field is overlooked. I understand that there is a 3rd party request to have this field included in the Client API.

  15. Merge contacts (not clients) in XPM? I seem to have lots of duplicates but I don't want to just delete the ones with no jobs/invoices attached to them incase they are linked elsewhere. Is there a way to merge them? All the searches I have done only talk abut merging clients.

  16. It would be incredibly helpful for us to be able to view the notes on a profile when you view it at group level.

    Currently we don’t use this feature because when a note applies to a whole group (which it often does), how do you know what entity or individual within the group to record the note against.

    Creating the view to see all notes for a group it won’t matter so much where the employee decided to leave that note.

  17. NZ Tax - PAYE - Tax and Filings report. Amount payable screen does not record the IRD number. Have to download the pdf to get the IRD number. Been waiting for this amendment for years.

  18. We are in the process of checking all Client details in XPM to ensure they are all complete and up to date. One of the checks that we were doing was to ensure that we had the NZBN numbers of clients recorded. However this appears to be the only client field that you are unable to select when creating a custom report!
    Xero's response to my query was "you may like to add this in as a custom field and input in the NZBN in the custom field section for the clients which will then pull into the report" -…

    Hi everyone, appreciate the feedback we've received since my previous updates and apologies for any confusion caused.

    Checking back in with our product teams around this, there is a current issue that means some NZ practices are unable to add Business Number to their custom reports atm. This is something we intend to rectify and I'll move the idea back to Under review for now, and as soon as there are further updates on it, we'll share with you here.

  19. Xero workpaper functionality that allows clients to submit their query responses against a specific line item, rather than the paper tab. Currently, it is difficult to determine which account the supporting document is for.

    Hi everyone, we're pleased to share new Xero Workpapers that'll be coming soon and encompasses many features we know our customers have desired.

    With our new solution collaboration on year-end and compliance tasks will be much smoother - You'll be able to upload documents directly to the specific items you need to review, meaning you no longer have to wonder which email a document should be attached to.

    When you need a document, like a bank statement or an invoice, we'll send you a secure query, so you can log into a simple portal, see exactly what we need, and upload the file right there. We'll automatically attach your document to the correct line item, creating a clear and organised record for review and audit purposes.

  20. In the timesheets window, a button which takes you back to todays timesheet.

    I often have to scroll back, and prepare prior period timesheets, and so it would be handy to have a "today" button, which will automatically return you to the current days timesheet - rather than having to scroll forward (similar to handisoft practice manager).
