  1. I would greatly appreciate the option to easily print or download only the pages of a tax return that requires the client's signature, without including the entire document. This feature would be particularly valuable for accountants who frequently need just the signature pages from multiple tax returns. Currently, the process of manually extracting these pages using another software is quite time-consuming.

  2. Debit card transactions are not needed to be reported on 1099s. When using bank feeds in checking accounts it does not distinguish debit card vs check. I suggest there be a option to identify debit card vs checks so the debit card activity is not automatically added the the 1099 reporting.

  3. So annoying to open an archived workpaper pack, want to check a document that was attached to an account and you can't! Have to scroll down and find it amongst all of the attached documents from that whole workpaper. Nightmare!

  4. It would be useful if in the Tax Statements reporting data set, we could also see GST statement data (currently only Income Tax and SLS show) so that we can check for unpaid GST balances.

  5. Bulk importing/creation of Jobs - to include Tasks with Estimated Time and Staff on Job.
    I would like to do a bulk creation of the Job and also then bulk creation of Tasks and Estimated Time, and to allocate to Staff on the Job. Or an easy entry area to update the Job Task Estimated time so you don't have to enter into each job individually to enter this data.

    We often just print a tax estimate and it would be great to have one button for the tax estimate rather than having to unclick all the other options in the print menu.

  7. Hello,

    I would like for Xero to automatically calculate the VAT returns accurately when switching from a VAT scheme to another. Currently, we need to manually adjust the returns to avoid any duplications caused by the transition. There is room for a lot of human error when doing this and I believe this feature is extremely important.

  8. Provide the ability to import/refresh the clients refund bank account number held with IRD into the Tax Return. Currently seems like we are having to manually enter it on the tax return. MYOB has this functionality and it's great, saves time and typos.

  9. Be able to see the email body of the document pack that was sent or alternatively a copy of the document pack sent to the staff member who sent it to the client so that there is a record of what the email body contained.

  10. It'd be extremely helpful to have a field available for any type of client where a registered business name can be recorded, and if the business name is searched in the client list, the entity that the business name is recorded against shows up.

    For example, if Joe Bloggs Pty Ltd owns the business name Bloggs Flowers, we could search for Bloggs Flowers in XPM and Joe Bloggs Pty Ltd would show up.

    Hi team, we want to share an update with you all here. As announced at Xerocon we have Xero Partner Hub which will combine all your practice tools into one experience. Along with the changes from the client list you will be able to add Organisation name and Legal/Trading name as columns which will be be searchable within the Client list.

    So, where a client's Xero org is connected this data will pull through to the list and you'll be able to search by the client name, organisation name or legal/trading name. Find out more and prepare for the Xero Partner Hub on our website.

  11. Integrate workpapers module into Xero with direct links to the Xero trial balance. Importing the trial balance is impractical and time wasting and the allocation of the account balances within workpapers is dependant on the report code allocations. You should have to option to view all the account balances and the net profit or loss from the trial balance when viewing workpapers to ensure all balance sheet accounst are included.

  13. I have recently started switching clients to the New BAS Experience - Full BAS.
    I run the Activity Statement and export it so I can check the "Transactions by Tax Rate" and make changes.
    I have noticed that when I click back on the "Summary" tab, the report does not automatically update (it does under previous BAS experience) and there is also no "Update" or "Refresh" button.
    The only way to get the report to update is to hit the refresh on the web browser.
    This is another case of removing functionality.

  14. Add a custom column similar to a custom row into reports.

    This would be used to include quantities for livestock reports, for automating % of trust distributions payable to beneficiaries prior end of June.

    This currently can't be done in reports.

  15. We work in small teams and it would be great if we could get a "Staff" drop down added for the client set up. So we could know the partner on the account, the lead accountant/manager and the staff member that works on the file so we know who to approach for various issues :)

  16. It would be useful to be able to email tax returns direct from XERO tax. Returns sent by XERO sign can only be viewed by a client in their entirity prior to signing if they have an ADOBE account.

  17. We are getting an increasing amount of (sometimes angry) pushback from clients where when we add Administrators to our HQ account, they are automatically given full permissions over any linked client Xero files, as well as all our ledger files. We are a large firm with over 15 Administrators.
    Please give us the ability to CHOOSE, if we want to add all administrators to all files.
    OR
    Create an administrator role that doesnt need to add them as a USER to each client file.

    Imagine you have a Xero file for your own personal business, and suddenly notice 13 people…

    Hi team, we understand and appreciate the concerns around permission sets and giving staff access to clients. The Xero Partner Hub will introduce new permissions with more granularity to control what your staff can see and access within client files. These permissions will be independent of the practice role and can be assigned to anyone.

    The Admin role will continue to have automatic access to practice owned orgs, however you may like to consider whether existing staff still need this permission or if they can instead be given the Standard role with additional permissions for managing Clients or Staff. I'll return to share as this goes live. Thanks

  18. Have a separation of Client Edit privileges to allow practice staff to edit Contacts, Groups, and Relationships without having full edit access (e.g. will not be able to edit client address, email address, Agent, etc)

    Hi team, we appreciate all the feedback and support this idea has received and understand the desire for wanting to be able to enable staff access to add notes without full edit access to a client.

    This isn't in the roadmap at this time, but is a feature our product teams will continue to consider as we keep developing client management. I'll be sure to share if there are any updates surrounding this, here. Thanks

  19. Invoices issued from XPM need to have the ability to have payment services so that clients can click on a Pay Now button and pay the invoice immediately in order to:
    - improve cashflow by collecting monies as soon as possible
    - remove the need to push invoices into blue xero to gain access to Pay Now functionality
    - remove double handling of invoices that practice staff originate in XPM and then operations staff have to issue from blue Xero. Practice staff should be able to manage practice invoices without having to involve operations staff.

  20. For non-Xero clients, it would be very useful to be able to use workpapers and include the actual account balance from the Client's accounts, rather than displaying the Xero account balance as nil. As a practice, we use Xero workpapers, but not every single client uses Xero.
