  1. Workpapers - Preview Attachment Highlighting faded
    When previewing a workpaper rather than downloading if you have highlighted using pdf manager this doesnt show that bright. Need to fix as this is hard for a review to know what the team member has highlight.

    Hi team, thanks for sharing the how bolder highlighting would improve your use of Workpapers. We're pleased to share (as you may have heard through the grapevine) we have a new Workpapers solution in the mix that's being rolled out in phases over the coming months.

    With the new solution attachments will be more visible, making it much simpler to review. Right now, you can read more about this new feature on our blog, and I'll be back to share once it's available to everyone, here.

  3. Is it possible to have a "heads up" on what changes are being planned.
    For example, the procedure for client deletions has just been changed so that a client with IRD Number/Tax Return cannot be deleted, with no notification to us as users that the change was being contemplated, let alone actually happened.
    This then leaves us asking for the change to be undone.
    If been advised beforehand, could have suggested options which be suitable to all parties and mean that reprogramming is not required.

  4. Support documents uploaded to a workpaper are listed at the bottom of a workpaper in the order they are uploaded in, it would be a handy feature to be able to reorganise uploaded documents as needed for ease of review and keeping items in say account or alphabetical order.

  5. Please revert the staff page back to the old format.

    What used to be able to be accessed all on one page, you now have to click through on to 10 different pages to access the same information, and then this involves scrolling through so much wasted "white space" as well.

    Why are you insisting on pushing through with these changes to your programs which actually make more work for the people that use them.

    And the consistent change to spread everything out so that you constantly have to scroll and scroll and scoll - why. Your need for so…

  6. Under the Queries tab, Internal Queries and Review queries should contain a link to where the query was posted, so reviewer/prepared, can be taken to the specific item - Eg. Preparer makes note for income item under A5 - Analytical Review, Link should be enabled so Reviewer can be directed to query sitting under A5 - Analytical Review.

  7. Request ability for individual users to view their own time recorded under Business Menu without having visibility of all other practice users. There are custom reports you can build to report on time recording but the problem is you can't easily see the total time recorded per day for each staff member for the previous or current week, to check for any gaps. It's not ideal for monitoring time recording, whereas the view under Timesheets in the Business menu is much easier to see at a glance if any days are blank or short in time. However, it is not…

  9. Ability to send a document to a client through Xero portal, without requiring a signature. I use the Document Packs to send tax returns and financials to clients. It would be good to be able to use this function to send packs to clients that don't need a signature.

    For example: securely sending a notice of assessment to a client through xero, or sending copies of tax returns to clients that have already signed them in person.

  10. It would be great to have the ability to change the issue date for draft invoices created in Practice Manager. The only way to do this is to delete the invoice and re-create it which can be very time consuming. The Due date can stay as the company's default, and update according to the new issue date.

  11. Would be very helpful to have repeating tasks within a job. For example, if doing work for a client over the financial year there are a list of tasks every month. There is no effective solution when there are different staff assigned to different task within the client job. Repeating tasks with staff assigned for the year would allow you to keep track of what has been done & what still needs to be done for each month. (Monthly checklist for July, Aug, Sept,...)

    Currently the only solution is to have a set of tasks and un-tick these each month.…

  14. Exporting Canadian GIFI schedule should be enabled for the current tax year. Sometimes we need to export the current period to run a tax projection in the tax software.

  16. Currently when XPM gets the Summary of Earnings information from IRD and imports this into the XPM tax return, this imports all the names of where they have earned income from in CAPITAL LETTERS. This isn't very friendly to the eye and we will often go in and rename each of these imported lines so they look nicer.
    Or if these aren't edited, but other data is added e.g. business income, then the format won't match.
    All caps is very ugly!

    It would be great if XPM would import automatically with first letter in capital letter and the rest in…

  17. Assurance dashboard and user activity in XPM.

  20. I would like to place feedback around user settings, The user permissions are limiting and weird ones seem to go together. Currently all staff can see everyone's timesheets, we we're advised to remove the financial setting under financial privilege's to remove staff access to timesheets, in doing so staff could no longer see budgets on jobs, therefore we had to give all users back that permission, in effect allowing all staff access to everyone's timesheets it just doesn't make sense.

    It would be really handy if we could assign a user group to a staff member instead of having to…
