  2. We use client codes for all our clients. There is an option to input this into the client record, but it would be good to be able to see that on the screen and sort by it, rather than just alphabetical list of clients.

  3. Add a TPAR tax form in Xero Practice Manager (XPM) so that we can generate signing pages like we can with a BAS or PSAR. When lodging via a client's Xero file or the ATO portal, we tick a box to say we have a declaration from the client, authorising us to lodge their TPAR, but there seems to be no report we can print to show them what we're going to lodge, nor signing pages that they can sign, so meeting this declaration requirement is proving difficult.

  4. To be able to duplicate a contact, therefore not having to retype in the address, phone number and all other details. You would just need to rename the client and change the IRD number etc before saving. This would be a huge time saver.

    Just to clarify, when you say ‘duplicate a contact’ would this be; the ability to duplicate an entire client (including all its contacts), to duplicate a contact within an existing client, or duplicate a contact from one client to another?

    If the last, we have a similar idea over here that I can join you in with. 🙂

    Hi team, we’re excited to let you know about a confirmed improvement coming to our new Xero Workpapers, where you'll find a much improved preview and ability to download supporting documents!

    The rollout of new Workpapers will be phased, beginning with Australia with more regions to come in FY26.

    While the new solution will make this process more seamless, you can still download supporting documents in classic Workpapers today by; downloading individual files from the 'Supporting Documents' list or exporting the entire workpaper pack as a ZIP file, which keeps all your original documents organised and ready for download.

    I'll be return to let you know once new Workpapers is live to you all.

  8. Xero workpapers should change depending on entity type selected. It appears that the selection of entity type in workpapers only serves to customise the query gallery and has no bearing on the actual workpapers created. An number of examples of this can be seen whereby selecting the trust entity type, the workpaper pack incorrectly contains M & M2 imputation credits, N Shareholders Current Account should be named N Beneficiary Current Account, and most significantly L - Income Tax does not contain a defined field for tax credits allocated on beneficiary income (instead users are having to use the free form…

Would be great for team members to be able to enter timesheet credits for flexitime hours over their standard daily hours, without having to enable the Financial privileges option in Staff settings (as this then provides visibility to all timesheets, ability to lock/unlock timesheets, ability to enter time for other team members, along with various practice financial report features etc).

  10. Delete Multiple Jobs. When you want to cancel/delete a job, you have to do this one by one. This is okay but if you have like 30 BAS jobs from x client, it is a pain to delete one by one.

    Hi all, we've been listening to your feedback and have worked many highly anticipated enhancements into new Xero Workpapers. This includes one of the most requested features - a smarter navigation experience.

    With the new solution, after you close a document you'll automatically be returned to the prior page with all your original filters and conditions intact. Our aim is to deliver a seamless, context-preserving experience for our users. We're actively working on this and plan to roll it out in phases, starting in Australia. You can read more about this in the Xero blog, and I'll be back with more news as rollout continues.

  13. Ability to edit review point, internal query and client query responses.

    Currently once you click reply to an Internal Query or review point or client query in workpapers there is no option to edit. This is frustrating if you make a spelling error or accidentally respond to the wrong query. It would be great to have the ability to be able to edit these responses if necessary.

    We appreciate the interest and attention around this idea, team. As you might've heard, at Xerocon we announced our new Xero Workpapers.

    Taking on board feedback from our community to develop this, new Workpapers provides the ability to edit internal queries in Workpapers. We're excited for you to try this new experience and have just begun rollout to Australian partners, with other regions soon to come in 2026. Thanks for sharing how this feature could benefit your practice. We'll return to share once rolled out to 100%.

  14. Link Xero Ask to XPM Job Numbers. We want to use Xero Ask, but we need it link the questions to specific jobs as well as specific clients.

  15. It is not really Xero HQ, it is in MyXero dashboard and in subscriptions where you can input a client code. This is the code that then shows on the CSV file attached to the monthly Xero bill for client subscriptions. At the moment this client code can only be input manually. We really need the ability to export client subscription list and re-import with a client code so that it would make allocating client Xero files for billing easier each month.   16. When will we have an option to update all client emails/phone numbers at the same time?
    It would be really helpful if the system would search for all 'same' emails or phone numbers and allow for these all to be updated/amended.

  17. I have noticed that Xero rounds the HELP repayment to the nearest dollar when estimating the tax outcome for individual tax returns however the ATO does not round the HELP repayment when issuing the notice of assessment.

    Can Xero update the HELP repayment calculation to include cents instead of rounding to the nearest dollar?

  18. Quite a few firms are using business fitness/their own custom workpapers in conjunction with Xero workpapers to meet their compliance needs. This is because some existing Xero workpapers e.g I2 - Finance Lease, S - Home Office, K - GST etc are not sufficient to meet our compliance needs. For example the home office workpaper does not contain the square metre rate method and there is no last year comparison for analytical review. No workpapers have been added to allow for new tax developments such as rental interest deductibility, rental loss limitation rules, mixed use assets to name a few.…

    Hi everyone, we appreciate the interest we've received in being able to edit Workpapers from our community.

    As we continue to develop and release our new Workpapers solution to practices across the globe, this is something we know could benefit some practices (especially in NZ) and have it high on our radar as the team continue to plan their roadmap.

    While this isn't in the pipeline yet we'l share if there are any updates for this, here.

    Hi community, thanks for engaging with us on how the prepopulation of W1 and W2 fields would improve efficiencies when preparing and filing tax with Xero.

    We're currently working on prepopulation of these fields where these would be generated from the ATO prefill.

    I'll be back to share another updates when this rolls out to partners on Xero Tax (AU).

  20. Would be good if there was an option to reorder the pages in a tax return, primarily to be able to bring the tax estimate to the front page of the tax return as that tends to be the key information the client wants to see and it is buried at page 3 or 4 of the tax return when printed.
