  2. We would like to be able to generate partnership and sole trader accounts in Xero without having to use Xero's fixed asset module. The fixed asset note generated in the accounts not is currently not fit for use without uploading all assets into the fixed asset module.

  3. Not a new idea, more returning of a feature that we can no longer use.

    We want to email our self billing sales invoices to Xero files, then go into Xero files, select those invoices and add to a sales invoice and its they are there without having to add contact, or saving the invoice and then reopening to add them

  4. Xero users should have more flexibility over what they can access. For example, a user may not need access to the bank account yet may want to access Products & Services. However, the only way to access Products & Services is to be set up as a Standard user. However, a standard user has access to the bank, which cannot be changed.

  5. We have received feedback from clients on the difficulty of them having to set up a ‘free account’ to login and view their documents and expressing that it is not user-friendly program to use.

    The video isn’t clear and the instructions within the template that is sent out can be quite complex to navigate.

    We receive numerous daily phone calls on how to create a free account and end up needing to cancel the document packs (already paid for) and have to resend to them via another portal or via email.

    While there isn't a direct filter for account codes in Xero right now, you could potentially explore the option to use Contact groups or tracking categories to help sort clients in this report.

  7. Make the reactivate process easier. Currently you need to change the selection to "All" under myxero. Hidden in the filter icon, could be more obvious with a visible drop down when you click subscription tab.

    Current process
    Select the Subscriptions tab.
    Click the filter icon next to the search bar, select All, and search by the organisation name.

  8. When a subscription is transferred to manage from one entity to another, there should be some sort of indication of what subscription package they are on. Currently we have to go back to the past accountant / client and ask.

We should be able to customise this invoice date order as a default setting, it opens in no order and having to click on the Due Date twice every time to get the invoices in order of latest to oldest to check before billing on every client is a real pain and waste of time when we have to do it so often.
    We would appreciate you looking at making this a customisable setting very soon, thank you

  10. Semi-sticky header.
    This would be useful in many areas, but an area where it would be very useful is reconciling bank transactions. Consider you're at the bottom of the page looking at a transaction, and you only have Xero open on one browser tab. You want to run a report or open another bank account targeting a new tab to cross-reference that transaction.

    Currently, you have to scroll all the way up to get to the header menu, therefore losing the transaction you wanted to review. It would be great if you could scroll up just a little and the…

  11. A few recent updates have made it Xeroefficient - 1) when clicking the search bar before you could paste in the search bar straight away - now you need to click into the search bar before pasting which is an extra unnecessary step. 2) before you could go straight to financial settings from the home page in the drop down menu, now you need to click on accounting settings first and then click on financial settings.

  12. The recent global Xero outage at the end of October highlighted a challenge for firms relying heavily on XPM: when Xero goes down, so does a big part of your workflow. Many teams reported staff unable to progress work because core systems were offline.

    How do other Xero Partners handle business continuity during these outages? Would it be valuable to have an integrated or secondary platform that allows firms to keep operating to some degree until Xero is back online?

  13. It would be good to have the ability to amend account headings through the new company accounts via Xero blue. This could be linked to the reporting name or as an iXBRL heading. The main issue we are trying to address is including brackets around the word profit when there has been a disposal of a fixed asset (or loss if it is showing in the income section). just for clarity on the accounts.

    Thanks for sharing in the forums here, Becky. Appreciate the understanding of the pain point currently faced and how this could improve clarity. For now, we'll start to get a sense of the community interest in this here and I'll let you know if there are any updates.

  14. There should be a comprehensive audit trail for jobs set up in XPM. In addition to the information about who created/modified details, individual time entries must show edited or moved details. We've had an instance where billable entries have been popping up into a client's job that should not have billable entries. What's scary is that these billable entries belong to various other clients who have no connection to the non-billable client. We cannot find who if anyone did move the entries and Xero does not have the ability to tell us either.

  17. In APS you have the ability to live synch the tax ledger. As an example a transfer to 2025 from 2024 income tax made today won't show until the next day in the tax return summary.
    A synch button to do this would be helpful and save time from stopping the job until the next day to print/save

Similarly to iFirm, would be great to be able to make amendments to the return in Xero, mark it as an amendment, and then file from Xero rather than having to make the amendment in MyIR, then make the same amendment to the already filed tax return in Xero. Makes it harder to keep track of what has been done.

  19. NZ Tax - Can we get the ability to create a future period tax return using the current years format. We would still need to submit the return manually through the IRD. It would be much simpler to create a draft in Xero instead of using the PDF versions from the IRD.
