Hubdoc - Contrast feature
A contrast function for Hubdoc. Often mobile phone scanned receipts do not have enough contrast and apart from the crop function which is being discussed a contrast function would improve usability.

Contacts - Add a Tracking Category in the Contacts Screen
When setting up a contact, it would be useful to be able to add a new tracking category directly in the contacts screen. If I forget to add a new tracking category to my existing list first and go to add a new contact then the tracking category isn't there. I then need to change menus in order to set up the tracking category and then go back and edit my contact to include it. I think it would be a good feature.

Invoices - Ability to show recurring invoices within the Contacts page
Be able to see recurring invoices set up for a client on that client's page. So many times I think to myself "I'm pretty sure I set that up, but did I?" and then I have to go and search in the repeating invoice tab. It would be good to be able to see recurring invoices just on the client page.

Contacts - Add a Title field for Mr, Mrs, Dr, etc.
Please could you add a Title field into the customers name - my invoices show with just the surname on which is very unprofessional.
ie. Mr Smith on the invoice would look much nicer than just Smith !!! This must be a basic thing to do.?? Please consider this as urgent.11 votes -
Contacts - Ability to export/import additional notes
Ability to export and import Notes that are shown in the contact details section as a column in the exported file.
This would allow bulk update and review of notes that have been added across Contacts.

Contacts - Ability to mark suppliers as preferred
A way to mark contacts as " preferred suppliers",( traffic light colours?) and a way to attach a document to this contact such as a hire agreement/ contract/ agreed rates/insurance documents etc.

In terms of contracts, you can currently upload files to a contacts record which is where you could upload any contract, hire agreements, rates etc.

Hubdoc - Allow publishing of $0.00 bills
Not an idea really but a bug which needs fixing.
A lot of suppliers like FedEx for example send $0 bills which HubDoc is unable to publish to Xero as the Tax and Subtotal amounts is calculated wrongly despite the bill's Total Amount of $0.00 being correctly detected. As a result the invoice cannot be published to Xero.12 votes -
Contacts - Option to put a Stop/Credit Hold on customer accounts
I Also, when will we get the stop function in Xero? I've been asking Xero for 6 years. I know you can restrict invoices by credit limit but, customers could be well under their limit but overdue in paying. A stop function is critical to any accounting system.

Hubdoc - Use consistent naming for transaction types
Just wanted to feedback some issues found during brief testing of Hubdoc (as potential replacement for Dext; we'll not be proceeding at this stage) ... here's what we found:
- different naming conventions - “Credit Note/Refund” equivalent (not sure what it is?) not as intuitive
- for multi-line entries, it doesn’t tell you what the remaining balance on a bill is (it does provide running total of lines entered but requires external 'calc' action)
- clunkier on mobile phone - have to log in each time whereas Dext is just snap and go
- no option to do multiple page…1 voteAppreciate your feedback, Rich. It really helps if each idea you is raised separately. This way others know exactly what they're adding their vote for here in community, our product teams can get a sense of interest in a particular feature and we can keep users updated if there are plans made specifically for that functionality.
In terms of your ideas here I see you've titled your idea to reflect the first point you've raised, it looks like there are a few existing ideas that relates to items you've mentioned, otherwise you're welcome to start a new idea for each other point. Thanks

Autosync to Hubdoc
You should be able to use autosync to publish multiple document types in Hubdoc. Dext can do this.

Contacts - View all transactions history & notes from contact record
Ability to go into the contact/client and see all notes under history and notes also the notes that are made under an invoice for the client. So ALL notes are in one place and users don't need to run a report to check a note. The former Xero layout had this. Invoice notes showed up under history and notes for the client in the old Xero layout before July 2023.

Though we don't have plans of surfacing the individual transaction history & notes on a Contacts record, you may find the History & notes report useful for getting a wider lens.
You'll find with the report you can filter, search and view history and notes across all areas of Xero.
We are continuing to watch the engagement and support for this idea, and will share if there are any updates.

Hubdoc - Bulk edit supplier configurations
I would like to do a bulk update of the supplier configurations in HubDoc to set the "Configure rules for Xero" to "off" so that we can begin our configurations from scratch. Doing it maunally for the number of suppliers we have is very time consuming so I would like to request assistance in making a bulk change.
The automated help agrees it a good idea and suggested the following
"To bulk update Hubdoc suppliers, you can follow these steps:
1. On the Hubdoc dashboard, click the settings icon.

Hubdoc - Increase upload file size
Currently the file sizes generated in uploading receipts is unnecessary large - I often see 3Mb for a coffee receipt! This is problematic when onward charging expenses to customers (and requires manually resizing before adding to an invpice which is time consuming) and must be costing you a fortune in data storage. Why isn't the file size limited to a sensible size or at least configurable by the user?

Hubdoc - Shift and enlarge "Who Posted"
The current implementation of "Who posted" information appears below the image in small text, which is easy to miss. We believe it would be more effective and user-friendly to display this information prominently at the top of the scan in larger text.

QR Code recognition of scanned receipts and invoices in Hubdoc
For scanned receipts containing a QR code, it would be very useful if the system could automatically read the code and populate it into a "Notes" field or the Invoice Reference field. This would streamline data entry and reduce manual work.

Contact | Ability to add phone number for persons of a contact record
Have the option to add individual contact numbers as well s emails for each additional contact from separate departments
97 votesHi community, we'd like to confirm that enabling phone numbers to be stored against additional people within a contact record is not something we have plans to develop at this time. This may be a function we look to explore in the long-term so we're still interested to get a clearer understanding of users that'd like to see this developed, and will continue to track this through the conversation here. Hubdoc - Client approval to automatically pull loan statements, mortgage statements and bank balances
There are three documents that we are often chasing clients for as accountants in order to do accounts or self assessments -
- Loan statements which show the year-end balances and the interest amounts (for example on the bounce-back loans).
- Bank statements which show the year-end balance to check the accounting software pulled in all the data correctly.
- Mortgage Interest statements (for self-employed clients who work from home or landlords on their self-assessments).We do ask the clients for these, but it's often difficult and very time-consuming for the client to get hold of (and sometimes they just…
