  1. I just started using this program and the ability to close the left-hand menus is needed, at minimum the ability to adjust the column width.

    When the "Folders" and "Docs" menus are both open constantly with no way of adjusting them, I lose almost 1/2 the screen.

    The webpage is basically broken up into 4 columns, yet there is no way to adjust any of them for a better user experience or easy viewing of documents. Currently it is impossible to view all of the information needed for individual docs without moving the document around a bunch. It's a very…

  2. A number of our clients simply use hubdoc as a filing system as publishing to Xero is not as simple as they would like.
    So we maintain their Hubdoc accounts, we update the document type and archive. It would savea huge amount of time if we could bulk edit and bulk archive rather than having to do this one document at a time.

  3. I find it very easy to accidentally drag and drop folders into another folder in the documents list and then it's gone before you even notice which folder it was or which folder it got dropped into. Please please please add a pop-up query when a folder is dropped into another folder - "do you really want to do this?"

  4. HubDoc - Audit Trail

    We desperately need an audit trail for documents in HubDoc. We need to know who viewed a document when, who published when, who archived it and when, etc.

  5. When going into a contact in the web version oif Xero the paid and unpaid invoices/bills are listed in date order with the newest first. This is not the case in the Android App version and it is really annoying having to scroll through (in one case) 200 invoices to get to the most recent.

    Can the App versions please go newest first like the web version..

  6. Being able to see a map with the location pins for each customer and sort them by the various Xero groups, would be invaluable. This would enable us to easily visualise our national/global coverage to help better understand regional product usage. As a business that provides products to public locations, it would also be an efficient way to reference existing installations near to new enquiries for them to reference.

    Sorry for my delayed response and appreciate the additional context of your idea here, Luke. Being open this isn't something we have plans around right now, but it would be great to see the interest grow from others in community.

    We'll make sure to share any updates if anything more visual like this is planned.

  7. Have an area in the contact card to opt out of the remittance advice for that supplier. This will save the time in unticking suppliers that never want remittance advice every time a batch payment is made.

  8. I have multiple clients who have members. They like to keep their members date of births on file, so they can send them birthday emails, or if they are over a certain age can get a discounted membership. It would be great to have either a dedicated date of birth field, or like some other accounting softwares a few open fields, that we could name per file, for additional required details, like date of births, member types, allergies, voting member etc. I'm sure these fields could be useful for other types of businesses as well.

  9. It would be very useful if we could upload any supporting documentation for invoices or bills as attachments in Hubdoc. At the moment, I upload the invoice in Hubdoc and then have to add any supporting documentation in Xero directly.

  10. If a client switches to another accountant the transfer of the Xero subscription is straightforward. However the transfer of the HubDoc subscription is inordinately complicated. Can this be integrated so we are given the option to transfer the HubDoc subscription at the same time?

    Related to this I have had multiple instances of clients ending up with two HubDoc subscriptions when we create one and they create one. Or a staff member creates one and then no one else in the practice has access. Is it feasible for only the Xero subscriber to be able to create a HubDoc subscription…

  11. I would like to set an 'auto archive' rule at a supplier level. This would be useful for expense which have a bank rule set up in Xero. Eg Xero subscription bills, other subscription invoices.

  12. Should be an added feature of having the option to set a standard credit limit at the one time for all customers instead of having to enter each one individually. This can be edited for each customer later on.

  13. When merging customers xero currently completes the merge and then displays the profile that has been moved which typically (for me) contains no customer data. Is it possible to instead display the profile that the customer has been merged to which shows all the existing customer data. Usually I am completing a merge and then having to go in and search for the customer name again.

  14. It would be good if you could copy and paste from a document in HUBDOC. Like you can from any pdf format document.

    eg If I enter an invoice in HUBDOC it would be good if I could go back to it and copy and paste the bank details into Xero like you can from any pdf document.

When merging contacts, you start typing the name of a contact you'd like the currently open contact merged into, and a list of similarly named contacts appears (including the contact you're getting rid of by merging it). I'd like to be able to open each of these in another tab from this list, so I can look and see which one I actually want.

    Similarly to the CTRL-click, from the list view you can use the mouse by using the left click + scroll button together to open a contact in a separate tab.

    That said, appreciate if you're in a contacts record, this does mean opening another tab to search from the main contacts list.

    To be honest, we don't have any immediate plans for developing the merge within a contact. It's something we'll continue to track here though, and I'll update if there's any progress to share.

  16. It would be useful if we could search for invoices/suppliers/amounts/Invoice references in all organisations listed within our Hubdoc portal. Meaning one search bar that searches all organisations, no just the one that is open at the time.

  17. Xero app - Adding a Receipt - check if image/s are fully uploaded before the Save button is enabled/allowed or run a check when the Save button is selected and if image/s are not fully uploaded alert user to wait.

    The Xero app is incredibly slow when uploading images eg; receipt scans. These are not expenses, the expense app works differently and is much faster but I can't use it for business receipts as they are not 'claims'. It has become slower each time I've upgraded…

  18. Hubdoc date format recognition is set at a global level, meaning when it processes invoices for US date formats, it can get it very wrong (e.g. 01-09-23 is interpreted as 9th Jan 2023 when it should in fact be 1st Sep 2023).

    This makes automating the process impossible and requires manual checking and adjustment of the date on all US date format documents before submitting to Xero. It can also lead to mistakes and significant additional time to rectify errors when reconciling.

  19. I would like to have hubdoc periodically log in to our supplier's account( Fedex, Amazon, Upwork, UPS etc) and fetch the invoices automatically.

    Dext Prepare already does that so I can see Xero loosing thousands of dollars by relying on third party software. I guess let's start with the most popular suppliers and take it from there. This can be an add on to Hubdoc for a bit extra and happy to pay as long as it is comparable in price to other software packages. That would greatly automated our accounts.

  20. It would be really helpful if there was a way of adding a notification dot on the "failed" tab in Hubdocs to alert the user to any documents that have not been published. We have often had documents that have failed but forget to look on the failed tab. A reminder dot would be so helpful and probably quite easy to install into the programme. Is this possible please?
