Fixed Assets - Dispose multiple assets at once

Ability to dispose of multiple fixed assets at once.

Purpose: To save users’ time, because the current process is users need to dispose assets one by one.

Hey everyone, thanks for all your valuable feedback and support on this idea here.

It's nice to see tips being shared throughout this thread to help others managing multiple assets. The suggestion to group similar items (like office chairs or laptops) into a single asset with a quantity can be an efficient way to handle things. When you need to dispose of some, you can then perform a partial disposal by updating the quantity, which helps save a few steps.

Wanting to share an update for you all, although I appreciate it will not be the news hoped for - Developing the capability to bulk dispose assets isn't on our current roadmap. We will keep an active eye on the support this continue to build here and be sure to let you know if anything changes here.

    Great idea - massive time suck to have to dispose of assets one-by-one.

    Need to be able to bulk dispose assets, for example when a Company sells the business

    We should be able to dispose multiple items directly from sale invoices where you can choose which assets you can want to sell. The sale invoIce should be able to adjust the assets register as well.

    Yes please...there is a way to import FA in bulk hope to have the option for disposal too.

    Yes definitely and in Xero tax also - if disposed off in Xero then automatically dispose in Xero tax. It is very time consuming to dispose of assets individually.
    Should also apply to any asset additions, they should automatically be included in Xero tax, we can then select FYA or Super-deduction but at least have the additions listed.

    The ability to dispose of registered Assets in bulk would be very handy and time saving!
    Having this option available in both Xero blue and Xero tax for rentals etc would be much appreciated

    I assume this change would roll out to assets linked to rental schedules and business schedules in Xero tax too.

    Had 204 assets the other day to dispose of...

    Seems crazy that you can upload in bulk but not dispose of in bulk... 250 assets to do.... PAINFUL

    I just spent 2 hours disposing of 150 assets that were written off, one by one. This would be amazing.

    An option to select and sell multiple assets in one go, by ticking multiple assets in one screen, when they are all sold on the same date (e.g. 30 Jun 202X) and for nil value would be a handy feature, and a big time saver. Instead of individually going in and out, in and out of each asset to sell, can be time consuming.

    We have some very old assets that are no longer in use and a bulk disposal would be amazing.
