Reports - Group account transactions by month

I would be good to be able to carry out data analysis of each nominal code and therefore group the account transactions by month with totals rather than by week which will ultimately tie back to the P&L. This would make it useful when carrying out data analysis from the P&L.

    Yes please add grouping by month / year. This will save hours or work downloading and seeing this data in a spreadsheet.

    Also, does anyone know ofa good third party tool that can pull the transactions report directly into a spreadhsheet via API? I have tried this many times and can't quite get the same report as you get in Xero itself

    I agree with the title on this one - group transactions by month.

    We need this option when pulling reports to sort/fix/tidy over multiple months. Currently it still sorts it by invoice date which doesnt help anything, rendering date sorting useless.

    Hi Kate,

    Currently the "Grouping/Summarising" area has a date area which will group by exact date. However, a more relevant grouping method would be by Month, in which you can then quickly analyse the Running balance for the relevant month/s being analysed.
