  1. It would be great to have an option to run a sales report by item which includes draft invoices, delivery dockets, and purchase orders as well.

    For example, I tried to run a sales report on qty of each product sold for the financial year to date and realised this information was inaccurate as we had sold a significant qty as draft invoices (using draft invoicing in lieu of delivery docket functionality), these products were not included in the sales report.

  2. Ability to add project financials rerporting into an advisor template report

    Being able to build a management report template that includes project financials seems like a no-brainer. but you can't do it at template level. You have to start with the existing template for a managmeent report and build a report from scratch for each client.
    You can't even take an existing template and add in a project report.

    Hi Aisyah, sorry we've not responded to you here sooner. Could you share more detail to help in interpreting your idea here? Is there a specific report you're running where not all accounts are showing?

    Earlier this year we release an enhancement to be able to show a nil balance in reports - I shared an update on this here. Does this achieve what you're in need of here?

  5. I still don't understand why Xero rounds any amounts? Could we have an option to disable all rounding in Xero. I have just left MYOB after 10 years, they never did anything like this. I moved to Xero on advice from my accountant, starting to regret this! Leave it as an option for whoever is rounding stuff (very werid), but please give me a checkbox that totally disables rounding. Please!

  6. Need the report linked from dashboard's Total Cash In and Out to MATCH to the data shown on a report.

    Right now it opens up a Bank Summary report which includes transfers, but even after removing transfers from the equation, the numbers still do not match up on the cash flow widget. I can't verify the cash flow widget's numbers.

  8. It would be good to have a bank feed to account transactions matching report which could show which bank feed entries have been reconciled to which account transactions without having to click into each entry. Something like the attached would be good to enable someone to spot mismatched bank entries

  9. Ability to insert forecasted figures into Xero and run a forecast report alongside the budget report. We get to half year and assess how on track we are with budget and more often than not it makes sense to adjust the forecast numbers for the remainder of the period but not lose sight of what the budget was in the first place.
    If we're able to run a report with actuals for YTD and forecast for the remainder of the period it would be hugely helpful

  11. We used to have the option to add/remove highlighting in a text box directly from the main page of draft reports, however this feature was removed and now we can only Bold/Italics/Underline/Bullet point, but no highlight.

    It would be great if we could add this function back in, so we didn't have to go to 'Edit Layout' to change add/remove highlighting anymore.

  12. Please add the ability to be able to add a page break from the 'insert content' drop down in draft reports, rather than having to go into 'edit layout to do this.

    Currently the only option on this 'insert content' drop down is to 'add text block'

    Appreciate you raising this with us, Natascha. Being completely open, having checked in with our product team while it might be something we revisit further down the track, we don't have any plans for enabling adding of page breaks from the Insert Content drop down in the near term. We'll shift the status to Not planned so others seeing can also understand.

  13. Attach Notes to the month column.
    I produce monthly P&L custom reports and add explanatory notes for large variations etc., when I add a new month column, the notes are stuck to the column number rather than the month, eg. I add January, but the variation notes I entered for December are now on the January column and I have to unattach them then reattach them to the correct column.

  14. In the custom reports menu, if you are no longer using a report but may need it again, the only option is to leave it there or delete. There is no option to archive the report. It would be good to have this option in case you need to refer to the report later.

  15. When using Tracking Categories on the balance sheet, we should be able to assign specific bank accounts to specific columns (or tracking categories). it would just be a feature where the balance "as of date" just displays in the column, regardless of all the prior transactions.

    Additionally, when paying loans, if a tracking category is assigned for balance sheet tracking purposes using columns, the Bank Balance that is transferred to the note becomes a Liability on the balance sheet.     It does sound like you've set up the Balance sheet in a bit of a niche way to track what you're after here, Sal. Appreciate you wanting more flexibility on how you filter tracking and being able to add a secondary filter for bank account.

    I want to be open that this isn't something that we have plans for. We'll continue to track interest from your idea here, but would need to see quite a bit of community support to look at making a change for this in the report.

  16. When preparing the client's financial statements it would be useful if we could upload the accounting partner's signature (e.g. as a JPEG or TIF) into the compilation report before the financials are published. We have to edit the signing section each year to update the date so it would be good & more efficient if we could upload the signature at the same time.

    It would then carry forward when the draft financials of the following year are prepared.

    At the moment, we have to PDF the financials and then edit them to insert the signature. This is done every…

  17. I have a client with three bank accounts. Currently it generates me an overall Profit and Loss Statement. if I want to get a Profit and Loss Statement for a single bank account I have to download to excel to be able to process this. It would be great if the Xero system would allow this option. Thank you very much.

  18. One custom template layout that could be transferred over all reports. We have multiple nominal codes for income and expenditure which means a lot of work to set up a new custom report. I currently have to export into excel which can cause errors.

    Hi community, thank you for engaging with us about your needs in a report to view where attachments have not been uploaded to a transaction.

    We get how this is a need for some businesses to validify expenses and process payments.

    Right now, this isn't in the teams roadmap, however we'd like to keep tracking the interest around this and will share if it is picked up in any future planning with you all here.

  20. Would be useful to be able to narrow column width, especially when decimals are removed and more months are required on 1 page. Similar to Excel, where we can change width and height of rows or columns.

    Thank you for all your support on this idea and for sharing how the option to adjust the column width on your reports would be beneficial. We understand that in some reports the inability to adjust the column size could result in extra white space or longer entries not being fully displayed.

    This idea has been reviewed by the Product team and has been moved to the ‘Accepted’ status. This reflects that this idea is not currently on our roadmap but it is a suggestion we will continue to monitor when looking at how we develop our reports.
