Please consider the feature of being able to batch up foreign currency Bills. We often pay multiple invoices in one go, having to reconcile and mark as paid 10 invoices is extremely time consuming.522 votesHi team, appreciate wanting an update - I'm pleased to share the beta went well and we've now launched international bill payments for our UK customers, making it easier to pay overseas suppliers.
Using open banking, UK businesses can now securely send money to 180+ countries including Europe (EUR), America (USD) and Australia (AUD). So you don't have to juggle multiple platforms or hidden fees. Whether you're paying a single bill or multiple bills at once, you can authorise payments prepared by your team and easily track which suppliers have been paid.
We’re committed to new ways to expand our bill payments feature for small businesses and their advisors in other regions by leveraging new technologies, where available. I'll keep you updated of any further developments for this, here.

Batch Payment - Option to add another when creating
Navigation. Wouldn't it make life easier when paying bills if you could create a batch and then go directly back to the Purchases Overview to create the next one. At the moment it's Create a Batch Payment then > Purchases > Bills. Repeat the process.

Batch Payment - Export payment file into FNB format (South Africa)
Please allow us to update the batch payment export file for FNB in South Africa. The current export file does not have all the fields needed by the bank.

Batch Payments - Ability to add bills to an existing batch
Add a "add Bill" button to enable you to add a bill after the batch has been created without cancelling the batch and redoing.
5 votesHi christine, is this a common situation you find yourself or business running into? It'd be good to understand more detail if there are common circumstances that lead you to needing to edit a batch payment after it's been created.

Batch payments - Ability to include credit notes
Allow the inclusion of Credit Notes in Batch Payments where the total to be paid to a supplier is still positive. This would allow a single batch for a Supplier to match their Statement, particularly where credit notes are not related to specific Bills.
855 votesHi everyone, our product teams are continuously reviewing and reprioritising their roadmaps for future work and although we don’t have any plans to change the credit application process this year, this is something we will investigate more closely in 2026.
As we begin to explore work for enabling credit notes in the bill payments flow, we’ll reach out for input to help us shape the design and approach so we cater for the widest possible requirements. Thank you all, and we’ll be back to share when exploration starts.

Batch payments - Split screen for Batch Payment contact details
On the make payments page of batch payments allow for a split screen so you can review submitted invoices to either check bank account details or add bank account details of new contacts without having to jump between pages/screens.

Bills - Add 'Make Payment' option available in Canada for 'Bills'.
In Canada, 'Make Payment' button is not available in 'Bills'. It would be nice to make payment directly from the Bills instead making payment from the bank.

The ability to set up payment schedule on a single bill such as insurance, rates, leases etc...
Being able to schedule the DD dates on a single bill such as insurance, business rates, leases etc... so that when you run a bills to pay you can get a clear snapshot of what is due for the period rather than having to manually work it out - this would assist in not missing outgoings for the period.

I review the batch payment summaries for our organization after they have been approved by managers but I would like some further controls - it would be great if there was some indication on the batch payment summary that this was a first time bill payee and/or if Xero could check for duplicated bank account numbers in the batch payment summaries.

Bill Payments | Crezco - buy batches of bill payment fees
The highest Xero subscription allows you to make 10 bill payments through Crezco and then you pay a fee per bill. This is a pain, as I now have to approve each 24p fee.
Please can I buy Crezco payments upfront?2 votesHi everyone, we’ve seen some good chatter around buying Crezco bill payment fees in batches. For those handling a high volume of transactions, being able to buy fees in bulk would make this process quicker and smoother.
At the moment, Xero doesn’t support batch purchases for bill payment fees, but this idea is now in Gaining Support.
If this sounds like something that would help your workflow, please add your vote or share your thoughts. The more feedback we get, the better we can show the product team how important this is.

Batch payments - Option to export Batch Payment Summary report to .CSV file.
Currently there is the only one option to export Batch Payment Summary report to PDF format.
That report is coming with the vendors listed randomly without any order.
Usually I forward that report to the owner along with 'aba' file for payment processing, and the report with vendors listed in alphabetical order will be very helpful.
Exporting the report to Excel will solve the sorting problem.

We can see how being able to export the Batch Payment Summary report to a .CSV file would make it much easier to sort and manage before sending it on for payment processing.

Batch Payments - Export file in a Santander-compatible format
The repsonse to my support case was to be told to post the bug here... seems a weird request, but sure...
"The best way to get our product team to consider this would be to create a new product Idea on this, which is submitted to our product team who then go ahead and make changed based in priority."The santander batch file does not follow the santander format. In the past Santander used to accept the file anyway but they have now started rejecting it.
Bills > Make Payment > Pay from (santander), Method = Create Payment File

Bill Payments - Copy documents attached to a "Bill to Pay" entry into the bill payment transaction.
Currently, documents (invoices) that are attached to a "Bill to Pay" entry do not copy over to the bill payment transaction at reconciliation. You have to go to the (reconciled) account transaction and manually add the same documents again !
I'm told by xero this is because the Bill to Pay and actual bill payment are 2 separate transactions and the "documents" icon and process apply only to the transaction being processed at the time.
This is silly. It is doing the same thing twice - and requires you remember to do it anyway!

We appreciate you letting us know about the changes that matter to you. We've reviewed your idea for having documents attached to a bill automatically copy over to the final bill payment transaction. We can see how this would save a lot of time and remove the current double-handling of having to attach the same file again post-reconciliation.

Direct Bill Payments - Review previous payment runs
Whilst being able to set-up a payment run directly within Xero is great and saves time, it can be tedious and difficult when trying to reconcile it on the bank.
There are two things Xero should add:
There is seemingly no way in the bills screen to review previous payment runs. Something that at least would make it easier to check back at what was included in that payment.
It should also put all payments from one payment run as one batch payment in the bank rec screen. Otherwise no time at all is saved in reconciliation as you still…

Bill payments (US) - ETA tracker
It would be nice to click into the bills that were paid via the new Xero Bill.com embed and see the ETA. This hits on the emails but if there's an update or delay, there's no way to see the updated ETA. Also, it would just be very convenient. Thanks.

Batch Payment - Allow the "Reference" field in bill payments to overwrite the reference field in the batch payments file
Currently when creating a batch payment, the bank payment details fields (Particulars / code / reference) are all drawn from the payee's Xero contact details page.
payment of some bills require an invoice number in the bank payment reference field (rather than just an account number), and this also helps to track which invoices are paid for companies with frequent / varied billing + auditing bank transaction list records.
It would be great if either:
a) For a specific bill, Xero reads the invoice number and places this into the "reference field" within the bill payments screen (usually works) AND…10 votes -
JAX - Prompts for Bills to Pay
I would like to be able to use JAX prompts to search bills to pay or to ask general questions about previously paid bills.
For example:
- Show me all the bills paid to supplier X before/after invoice date [insert date]
- Show me all the bills for this amount [insert amount]
- Find all the bills that were created with Tax Inclusive (or Tax Exclusive or No Tax).
- Start a new bill for supplier [insert supplier name] with the following item codes [insert list of item codes]
Currently, JAX doesn't seem to have any knowledge about bills.

Bill Payments - Add a bank account to Planned payment
Hi, I would love the ability to select one of our bank accounts or credit cards on the awaiting payments screen for each bill. i can select the planned date however this only tells me when it is going to be paid and it would be useful for planning if i was able to select for example the credit card it is DD from or bank account to aid in budgeting and cashflow.
