Hi everyone, leading on from my last update we have now released improvements to eInvoicing for those in the UK! With the latest change you’ll now find we’ve made it easier for you to opt-in to receive your Xero subscription bill via eInvoicing. You can now do this from your online invoice (My Bills page) instead of through the Billing contact page. Helping save you time and reduce manual data entry every month.😁
We understand there are other regions that’d still like to see this functionality developed and we’ll shift back to submitted and share when there is news of moving this further afield.
We also wanted to address the recent comment of data sharing – We’d like to confirm that Xero do not share data with Peppol.com ( http://peppol.com/ ). We use the Peppol network and the subscription invoices are sent using our wholly owned provider, Tickstar.

Hi community, to continue sharing on our development of einvoicing in the UK – we’ve now released our first part of this experience. So, if you have registered for einvoicing, you’ll be able to edit your billing contact to select to ‘Receive Xero subscription bills as einvoices where you’ll just need to enter your businesses VAT. As mentioned in my last update – we’re still developing this experience, and coming up will be the ability to choose this option from the online invoice itself. I’ll loop back when this is released.

Hi team, further on from our last update we are extending the ability to automatically record Xero subscription invoices in your organisation to UK customers via einvoicing.
As a first cut if you have registered for einvoicing, you’ll be able to edit your billing contact to select to ‘Receive Xero subscription bills as einvoices where you’ll need to enter your businesses VAT. Over the following months we’ll be building on the experience so you can eventually choose this option from the online invoice itself. We’ll keep you updated of progress for this, here.

Once you’ve opted in, your next Xero subscription bill will appear in your ‘Bills to pay’ screen each billing cycle. Hi team, as noted (thanks Geoff) we’re leveraging Xero’s existing eInvoicing capabilities for this work which is the reason it’ll only be an option within the regions that have the Peppol network available.

Hi everyone, thanks for your inputs and support in this idea overtime.  It makes sense that we should have a mechanism that allows our very own subscription invoices be automatically recorded to Xero with ease.

We’ve been developing Xero’s automation capabilities and as part of this work the team are working on a new flow that’ll enable businesses in AU, NZ and Singapore to opt into having their monthly Xero subscription bill sent as an eInvoice directly into their draft bills.

As we get to final stages I’ll return to share when businesses registered for eInvoicing can take advantage of this feature. 🙂
