Thanks for the feedback and great to hear the use you find in repeat templates in Xero.
While there's no way to bulk update templates atm, you may find updating your templates through export & import of invoices more helps quicken things up?
You could export invoices that have been generated from your template to CSV, update the amounts in the exported file, and then re-import.
This will create 'Draft' invoices in your Xero org from which you can create a Repeat template and then delete the draft. 🙂

This package is not in line with Quickbooks.
I am trying to get a client to change from Quickbooks to Xero, but he does slightly more than 20 small invoices a month.
He won't change because he pays £14 for Quickbooks and would need the standard package at double the cost in Xero. -

It would be useful to be able to print a gross to net payroll summary before posting the payroll.
We prepare payroll for clients and they don't really like to detailed report as it is long-winded, but like to see a summary of each employee's gross to net pay to check before confirming that they are happy for us to post the pay run.Helen Christopher

Hi everyone, thanks for the interest in this idea.
As you can appreciate, user roles span across the entire Xero product so there’s many combinations of permissions our customers want to see us build. Specifically, our reporting product team is very much aware of the challenges with the current permission sets relating to sharing individual reports with different users and are beginning to look into how we might be able to alleviate some of these reporting challenges.
However, at this stage it’s far too early to anticipate or confirm any direction on where this discovery work will lead, but it will inform our next steps. Additionally, as I'm sure you can appreciate there are sensitivities of data access and security. Creating upgrades to user permissions will need very careful consideration. We are finding that clients require more flexibility in user roles. For example a client wants an employee to carry out invoicing only, but that employee also needs to be able to print a sales report at the end of the day.
Our client has just gone VAT registered, and needs to add VAT to 150+ repeating invoices - got to break the news to him that he will have to do them all individually.
