Hi team! We've been following the conversation here and appreciate you taking the time to explain the need for this feature.

We understand you’re looking for a way to change the default setting for the ‘Show journal on cash basis reports’ checkbox in manual journals, so that it’s unticked, and that having this box ticked by default can create inaccurate cash basis reports, which is particularly challenging when you’re correcting entries or dealing with a high volume of journals.

We may look into this with a finer lens further down the line, but want to share that there's no immediate works planned to enable changing the default for whether a journal is Cash basis.

As many of you have noted, right now you'll need to manually untick the box for each journal entry.

If any change is planned for this we'll be sure to share with you all, here.

Hi community, thanks for the strong support in being able to attach files within Xero Payroll, both for employee records and pay runs. We really appreciate you sharing the value and efficiency this could create for you when working with Xero. It's evident that being able to store important documents like licenses, sick notes, and onboarding papers directly in Xero would remove the need for external storing systems or manual processes.

We acknowledge it's not the end goal but wanted to highlight the use of apps, as some have shared like Dext, to help bridge this gap in the meantime.

I want to assure you that enabling attachments in payroll is part of our long-term intentions. However, to deliver this functionality effectively and reliably, we first need to develop some foundational elements within our payroll platform.

We understand your frustration with the timeline and the limited updates, and we're…

would be great we we could override or manually edit the GST on a transaction that may be part GST and part non GST, like any item that is only part deductible rather than having to manually split into two lines one gst and one non gst. Keeps the gross as one figure, easier to trace.

Hi community, thanks for your input and support into this idea for auto updating related journals when an auto-reversing journal is edited.

While the team began to look into work involved, priorities have shifted and this is not something we'll be looking to develop at this time.

We'll move the status back to submitted and keep you informed if there is any movement.

I have been caught out , very embarrassing, as some one else said, an error waiting to happen

would have thought this would be a standard process, you change one jnl and the auto reversal should be updated automatically, as above stops errors esp important when jobs are been audited ( they always look past balance date, and effects clients monthly reporting)

Suggest that when printing Published accounts that any lines under 1.00 are hidden.
Example (as we don't print cents in our published reports).
If there say .46 left in an account , that line is not printed, As currently it will print with no amounts. and looks silly. (need to jnl the cents somewhere else to clear.

Appreciate you thinking of other ways to solve something, Jessica. With a lot of the reporting teams concentration on elements to redevelop the most vying features from older reports in the new before their removal later this year I want to be open that we don't have this in pour plans at this stage.

We'll start to get a sense of the interest for this here, and let you know if there are any changes.

Hi everyone, we get wanting an update from us in this idea, and thank you for your support and sharing your needs on this here.

While we don't have direct plans for enabling the ability to copy reports from a client org to the practice, or from client to client organisation, our product team have begun looking into being able to add custom reports that have been built in a client organisation to a Report template once it has been run from the Adviser tab in blue Xero, which we know has also been a need expressed by some customers here.

For now, we'll move this idea to In discovery, and I'll come back as there's further progress surrounding this, for you all.

Copy and existing report from within a client report pack ( fin stmts). very handy when a large number of codes, but you wish to have the option of a condensed version of the P &L and a expanded version , would save reinventing the wheel if we could just copy it and edit.
Say for a P & L have income, then condensed expenses ( Grouped) than add a schedule of expenses, which is expanded and the income is hidden or easily deleted/removed.
