Hi team, appreciate not exactly what's being asked here but to confirm what's available at present.
In the Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss you can now show Account code through the More option. From here, use the layout editor to drag & drop accounts to the order you'd like.
Once set up deselect the option to show Account code and your ordering will remain while the codes are not shown within the report.
You can also Save as custom so you can then access this layout anytime you need.
To go deeper with the insights for our team here, it's be good to know the specific reports you're wanting to see this feature in.

My Windows settings say that the first day of the week is Monday. Pretty standard for Australia.
All the dropdown calendars in Xero should match local system settings. If you don't want to have Xero ask the computer or browser what the settings should be, then there should be the ability for the user to change this themselves - while I never use Sunday as my first day of the week, I know people who like that.

Appreciate not the exact feature you're looking for here and will be good to get a sense of the interest of this here. In the meantime, I wanted to make sure you can find this information once reconciled. Those with the Standard or Adviser roles can run the Journal report to view recent impacts to accounts and the user that made each change.

Thanks for sharing support for having an audit history for auto super batches. It’s been a little while since this idea was raised, so we wanted to check in.
Our product team are keeping an eye on this idea. To help your idea gain traction, please share it with colleagues so they can vote for it too. The comment section is also open for all members to share how this feature would improve their Xero experience.

Should also add that the delivery instructions section on the purchase order where Xero suggests we put the written agreement that has to go on every RCTI for them to be legal isn't big enough for the written agreement that the ATO has on their template. If I copy and paste the ATO template, it cuts off just over halfway in.

Recipient-Created Tax Invoices (RCTI) are a normal thing in some industries. Xero is not set up to create them; instead we have to do a workaround with purchase orders.
I'd like to not have to use the workaround.
The workaround consists of:
- creating RCTI branding themes
- creating a purchase order for each entity needing RCTIs
- edit that purchase order with the new details every time creation of an RCTI is needed (so in labour hire this can be every week for each contractor)
- send the purchase order to the entity needing the RCTI (editing the email to change instances of 'purchase order' to 'RCTI' every time)
- copy the purchase order to a bill, ensuring you untick the option to say that the purchase order is fully expended
- authorise the bill
- pay the billThe process for RCTIs should look like:
- create an RCTI
- authorise the RCTI
- send it to the entity needing it
- pay the RCTIAn error occurred while saving the comment

The lack of RCTI functionality is kinda weird.
Here's the Australian legislative instrument defining how the ATO currently wants Australians to take into account when creating them: https://www.ato.gov.au/law/view/view.htm?docid=%22ops%2Fli202320%2F00001%22

Hi community, we really appreciate your feedback on this and hearing why you'd like to be able to change the organisation's name that's shown when sending invoices from Xero.
This is on our teams radar, and is something they may look into longer term however we want to be open that it's not in the current roadmap.
We'll continue to track and keep across the interest from our community, and if there's any news to share we'll update you on this, here.

Hi all, appreciate the interest around this. Being able to view a contact's address would be built separately for invoices and quotes.
We have an existing idea for this in new invoicing that you may like to add your vote and join across here - you'll see this is something we're actively working on.
I'll slightly adjust the title of your idea here to reflect the Quote side of things and we can keep you updated if there's any change for this. Thanks

Thanks for the added detail, everyone. It's good to be able to share this detail back with our teams.
Appreciate why Bank Rules won't help for cash accounts and where you don't have a bank feed coming into the account.
Being open, this isn't something we have plans for changing in the short-term. We'll leave the idea open for our product team to continue considering how we could improve efficiency in some of the situations you've described. If there are any updates we'll share this with you all here.

I know the reason for this - it's to stop accountants from altering the balance of the bank account such that it no longer matches the bank statement, and is thus not a true and fair representation of the financial position of the business.
Having been yelled at by accountants because the bank statement didn't match the balance sheet, when the only reason it didn't match was their own journal, I support making it difficult to make adjustments that cause accounts to be unreconcilable.

If anything is going through the bank account, I create it as a bill or invoice.
Eg. a property purchase closing statement is a bill for the value of the property and the closing costs, with the bill paid from the loan, the prepaid deposit, and the payment leaving the bank account.
I'm quite happy *not* having this ability, as I have been yelled at in the past by accountants who journaled to the bank account without a corresponding transaction having gone through the bank account (as they were taught to do at university), and then were upset that the value of the bank account in the accounting system didn't match the bank statement.

As a general rule, depreciation on different types of asset has an account number that's the account number for the relevant asset +1 (eg 720 Computer Equipment and 721 Depreciation on Computer Equipment).
The depreciation should therefore always show up on balance sheets immediately after the relevant asset. Not several lines away!
Similarly, we always group expenses by type where possible in the chart of accounts - especially when it comes to employment-related expenses, it's useful to have them show up together on the profit and loss report.
