Hi everyone, appreciate your continued feedback on new invoicing. As mentioned in my last update we've now added a new Xero Central page for new invoicing.
Along with updates to individual ideas on Xero Product Ideas, this page will become the single source of truth for key feature rollouts including:
- what’s available in new invoicing right now,
- timelines for features and enhancements going live in new invoicing, as well as
- a comparison table between the classic and newer versions of invoicing.
We'll be updating this page regularly.
Relating to some of the more recent feedback there are some existing ideas that may also be of particular interest that you can join, like the ability to see the email the invoice was sent to in the history, or being able to see a timestamp, and reducing clicks and steps.

I so dislike Xero now. I didn't like it much before, but what is the point in this feedback if no notice is taken of the comments?
I/We don't like New Invoicing. I/We don't like you can't delete supplier accounts etc opened in error. I/We don't like that you can't bulk download the expenses/purchase invoices. I/We don't like that you can't bulk download sales invoices.
There are many, many other features of Xero that are hugely irritating, time consuming and impossible to use in comparison to other packages. I/We will just have to vote with our feet. -

Thanks for your expressions and feedback in a bulk download or print facility for Files (either from the Files library or at an individual transaction level)
We know that bulk operations can be handy, however at this time we have no plans to develop this functionality. We know it might seem like a small feat, however often even small change is more tightly woven and intricate to solve beneath the surface.
While we understand this must be frustrating to hear, we’re currently focused on making improvements in other areas of Xero and are unable to prioritise a bulk download or print feature right now.
However, in situations like these there are often connected apps through the Xero App Store that may be able to assist. We appreciate and will revise solutions that could fulfil needs in this space, but want to be honest this isn’t something we have plans for…An error occurred while saving the comment Jacolyn Warner commented
This won't be helpful for many people, but just in case it helps one person....When I found you can't download the files from Xero, I started using Hubdoc, which is seriously limited and clunky but you can easily download files from it - I keep the invoices etc in folders within Hubdoc and download whichever ones I need, whether receipts to go with recharged disbursements, or the monthly purchase invoices. It's not the best, but better than nothing. The main issue I have is not being able to download sales invoices without "printing" each one to a PDF - such a waste of time! These substantial omissions from a basic book-keeping system are crucial to everyday accounting and auditing - but I guess that's what you get from making assumptions on what would be included as standard on an accounting package that claims to be the answer to an accountant's prayers.......

Kelly, I disagree. This feature is not "handy", it is essential. On the basis of your response I certainly would not recommend Xero to anyone. I regret moving to Xero in the first place and also making the assumption that an essential accounting requirement would obviously be part of an accounting system - and finding it isn't - and then finding that Xero only consider this "handy". Luckily we use Hubdoc for some invoices, which has a PDF download, but for all Bills that go directly into Xero - and annoyingly, Xero subscription bills as well, there is no function to download these. This now means that EVERYTHING will have to go via Hubdoc, negating some of the selling points of using Xero in the first place! How disappointing.

Hear Hear. I find it so tedious having to keep asking....

Karsten, you have my sympathy. The more I use Xero the more I see all the shortcomings that are included as standard in other accounts packages. Not being able to delete any unused account is just silly.

It's ridiculous that you can't edit a bank account - if the transaction is unreconciled, which it will be if it's been posted to the wrong bank account, why not be able to edit the bank account to the correct one? A huge amount of time and possibly error in redoing the transaction, especially if already allocated to an invoice
