    Hi all, while we don't have any plans for adding description as a column to the bills list you may find it a bit easier to view the bill details now using the quick view option.

    From the list view you'll see an eye icon that allows you view all details of the bill without having to navigate away from the list screen.

  5. it would be great if there was a tick box for being to select if a contact wants to be excluded from marketing contact. if there was a tick box, it would be handy to be able to generate a report showing those who you can contact and those who have opted out, and being able to export that data to excel. i know xero is a finance platform rather then a direct crm however it just seems that for small businesses especially this would be a great tool and as xero does generate reports and exports to excel anyway…

  7. From the moment you post a payrun, and this can be 1 day or 10 days before payment is made, employees have access to their payslips. To pull an ABA from the payrun, you need to post the payrun first. I process payroll for over 30 business's. Part of that process, as I am sure it is for any agent or employee bookkeeper, you generally need to get an approval (even the filing for STP makes you verify that an authorised person has checked it). This approval is an email to the client with the payroll information (including ABA file)…

  9. While it's nice to be able to enter a fixed value discount in our business we use % discounts only. We find the new quote discount field feature that requires a % for the discount or it defaults to $ amounts is causing us to make errors. This is especially confusing as it use to default to % and the invoice still does. I have a couple of suggested updates:
    - Create a site wide setting to choose whether your default is $ or %.
    - Include a dollar symbol when it is a fixed amount discount to highlight it's…

  10. Adding staff working on a project without giving them access to Xero.

    There is absolutely not need for staff to have access to Xero for me to log that they have worked on a project for 8 hours at £xx rate per hour.

    I don't want to add this information to the ledger as the staff are payrolled so I cannot enter this as an expense but I would like to diarise time against the project so profitability can be calculated.

There are a number of Report Templates available in the Client Reports which once adapted would be good to copy either from one client to another or better still from a Client to the Practice Reports, making them available for all clients and they could then be included in Monthly Management Reports.

    Currently you can only copy reports within a client or within the Practice Reports and the facility is not available to copy across from one to another

    Back with an update for, everyone 😊We have now enabled the ability to add client-specific custom reports to Adviser packs!

    As mentioned in my last update we don't have direct plans for enabling the ability to copy reports from client to client or client to practice report templates.

    While this update doesn't completely accomplish what's been directly asked in this idea, we know this is a key feature that'll be highly beneficial to some in this idea in creating more comprehensive reports. Thanks for sharing with us all, here.

  12. I have a bill to enter from a supplier with around 40 line items.
    The supplier does not list unit prices on their invoice, so i do not have accurate unit prices to enter for each line item to match the line item total.
    This means i have to calculate and enter each line item unit price individually in order to match each line item total.
    If i could enter the line item total and qty, with xero automatically calculate/enter the unit price, this will make entry of these bills significantly quicker.

  13. It was bought to my attention after using xero for over 2 years that depending on how you pay your staff using multipayment or individually that when you reconcile if your staff have access to contacts then they will see the payments made.

    This is a concern for me that they can see the amounts whether your reconcile as a bulk amount and allocate to them or a generic contact - if you use the cash coding area then xero creates a dummy payee called unknown which again can be seen by your staff with standard access.

  15. When I review payroll I want to know if the employee is casual, part-time, full time or contractor.

    I want to know the typical hours worked in the payslip cycle so as to determin whether overtime entitlements apply.

  17. Make the Customer Field AutoFill in new invoicing

    In the old invoicing - which by the way was must better and more reliable, the customer field would autofill if it was setup to autofill within the customer set up. With the new invoicing this field no longer autofills. Please Fix

    Hi team, we appreciate your engagement in the idea here however we want to be open that we don't have any plans for developing repeat spend or receive money transactions atm.

    If you have the suggest previous entries option turned on in your bank account, you may find that overtime Xero suggests create transactions based on your previous reconciliations.

    Alternatively, you could look to create bank rules for these scenarios where Xero will pick up commonalities in your rules to your statement lines and help with reconciliations.
