  1. With the "new look" bills having been implemented, all the different bill options are under a drop down where you select new bill, new CN, new repeating etc.
    I appreciate that this looks tidier or something, but when you're inputting about 20 CNs, having to go through the dropdown for each of them is really tedious.
    Also: after approving a bill there's an option to add another bill directly, but that doesn't happen if the bill is submitted for approval or saved as draft. Can this be implemented?

    There is also no option to go straight to a new CN…

  3. Employee - Merge Function

    I cannot believe that there is no merge function for duplicated employees. Most payroll systems have this function. The error occurred between integration with time and attendance software and Xero.

  4. when doing allocation between an overpayment and a bill, if the invoice is dated within a locked period you are unable to do the allocation, it would be good if you could just do the allocation without having to open the period.

  5. We have two accounts (bank & credit card) from the same institution. For bank feeds, please allow multiple logins from the same institution.

    Once we login for a bank feed on one of the accounts, we can't set up the bank feed for the other account. It just asks us to choose the already logged in account.

    I also reached out to support. They said "a Xero user can only use one set of credentials (per bank) in a Xero organisation. We recommend that you ask another Xero user to login and activate the feed…

  6. When running the monthly CIS report it would be helpful to include the tracking category, to be able to work out the total liability per department to pay out of each bank account to HMRC

  9. A warning or prompt should come up when an employee has no bank details recorded - similar to when an employee's bank account is updated when a payroll is posted.

    This can be acknowledged by the user and allow them to move on.

    When the ABA is exported - this prompt should come up, every time an ABA without bank details is exported - as the payment could fail and the employee will not be paid.

  10. Please can you add an additional account under expense type in the chart of accounts for corporation tax?
    One which will automatically post to the profit & loss in between 'Profit on Ordinary Activities Before Taxation' and 'Profit after Taxation'.
    The default setting of overhead and having it in with bank fees etc is frustrating.

  13. Can you get the new TB to download with the account code and description in the same column as was possible in the old TB. (see attached)
    It's a great column to upload into tax software as a description, instead of having to mess about with 2 separate code and description columns.

  14. It would be a great option to recognise various end customers through a single primary client (if that makes sense). i.e 'The ABC Fund' CARE OF '123 Pty Ltd'... The DEF Fund' Care of 123 Pty Ltd; So 123 Pty Ltd might have e,g 10+ customers who like to pay their own invoices but id like the invoices all to go and be recorded against 123 Pty Ltd. So my clients are accountants who have multiple smsf trustee clients of their own that they provide to me to audit. The accountants pass the invoices they recieve onto the smsf trustees…

  15. We need to be able to create a report that lists inventory item sales and includes the customer name AND other customer contact information such as email address or phone number.

    There have been occasions where I've needed to contact a large group of customers that have purchased a product from me due to a misprint in a book or an update to a title. At present, the only way I can do this is to export my inventory report and add the contacts manually. Xero Support Specialist - Daniel has confirmed this.

  17. Another product idea to suggest is to have Account transactions report account code GST control account to also show the related account
    For example invoice number and invoice amount on how the tax amount derives from.

  18. Kelly Munro shut down discussion on an idea I suggested, because she was under the mistaken impression that she had resolved the issue, which she had not. I suggested that it would be useful to be able to allocate payment of purchase invoice against overpayments and credits. While what Kelly suggested was correct - that this is possible to do when an invoice is first raised, it is only possible at this stage. It is not possible later.     Hi Heather, while maybe slightly brash do appreciate the feedback. 

    With your added detail we're happy to have the idea in the forums here that we can get a feel for the appetite on - You're always welcome to reply to an update I've shared on an idea too and we can review this. 


    Please understand it's not my intention to inhibit customer feedback, but will do our best to highlight and share places where features and capability in the product do exist but may just be unknown by users. 

  19. It would be really good to have a tick box on the Invoice creation page similar to "GoCardless: Collect ASAP" which would cause the payment to be collected ASAP as opposed to on the Due Date of the invoice.

    For customers who already have a mandate set up via GoCardless, using "+0 days" for Repeating Invoices or "Today" for standard invoices as the Due Date resolves the problem in a way - the money is collected ASAP.

    But for customers who do not have a mandate set up, things get even more complicated.
